Hippity Hop with a Twist 2!

***please scroll down for my MFT Teaser Post****

Where sticking to our schedule. Even though today is officially STILL January, we are ready to move onto our second month of the new {ippity}Challenge with a Twist!  We had a ton of fun last month and it looks like you did too. There were lots of great entries all month long. Keep playing and invite your friends, the bigger the better and the more the merrier!
Angie is our hostess with  the mostest this month. She's got a whole new batch of challenges this month. It's our first week, so that means today is our SKETCH day! Use this new keyword: IHHTC2 and ippity when uploading to SCS!

I've been dying for my FIL birthday to roll around so I could finally make a card for him with this set.  It's our great Authentic Man stamp set and it IS the perfect masculine set. I used the great wooded start instead of an oval from the sketch and added the Happy Birthday from How You Doin'?
Contact an {ippity} chick to get any of these sets into your hot little hands. My FIL is a car freak and even said, "oh, that's an Old  Oldsmobile." Learn something new everyday. He likes to tease me and my MIL about our stamping, so I told him, "see, there's a stamp for everyone!".

Can't wait to see what the rest of the team has done with the sketch. Maria is up next.

For today's teasers, there is a new, beautiful butterfly set for the Inspired by series.  Inspired by Butterflies will certainly inspire you.  It's got 3 large butterfly images and just the perfect quotes included. I pulled out some Jillibean dp and my new Grunge Paper and the Butterflies die-namic to make this card.
The detailed butterfly is one of the stamps in the set and the other butterflies show off the three sizes of the die (I stacked two of them together for the layered one).
Thanks to my dear friend, Eva, (she gifted me some yummy ribbons)  I was able to add those gorgeous crinkle ribbon!  Other MFT goodies here-fossil and hot fudge cardstock (check back for those colors, they are currently out of stock), buttons, and small scallop border die-namic.

Moving on, I've got one more card that should just make you SMILE. It's one happy image and I can't wait to play with her more. Won't she be cute, flying a kite made with our new Kite die-namic???
She's called Enjoy Every Moment!  Today I added some grass and the new Flat Bottom Clouds
to complete the happy-go-lucky feel of this.  That's it from me today. Hop on over to Kim's blog to see the full list of teasers. Thanks!

Teaser Time with MFT....Day 3!

Today is Pure Innocence Day!!! I know you are all excited to see what cuties are being added to the boutique this month. We've got 5 new ones for you today and of course you'll want the ALL!

Before I get started today, let's take care of the business. Here's the Important Stuff you'll need to  know!
Here are the details about the upcoming release on February 1st at 10 PM EST:

  • The MFT release is on February 1st at 10 PM EST. You can attend the release party from 8-10 PM EST here in the forum for fun, games, and prizes! All the new sets and dies will be available on February 1st at 10 PM EST.

Here is the list of the new Pure Innocence - Primrose, You're so Tweet, Butterfly Kisses, Believe in Magic, Out on a Limb.  I've got two of the cuties to share today-Butterfly Kisses and Primrose.
I was super excited to use the new butterfly die-namic, so the Butterfly Kisses was the first set I got inky. You can see 2 of the 3 sizes of the butterflies included in the die. Aren't those little cut-outs just adorable!

I used two of the smallest butterflies and the largest one which has the cut outs. I also added glitter to her sweet butterfly wings.
See that row of scallops peeking out from under the ribbon? That's  the new Simply Scallop die-namic.

The next card is showing off the second of the new Flower Series of Pure Innocence.  This month's, February, is called Primrose. I admit I do not have much flower knowledge.  I really didn't know what a Primrose was.  I did a quick Google search to read up on them a little and now that I am in-the-know, I am noticing Primroses all over.  I even saw them in my grocery store last night, although I didn't see any in this color, there were lots of vibrant Yellow, Purple, and Red ones!
I  stamped her on X-Press Blending cs and colored her with Copics and pieced up her dress with some Modern Homemaker dp by Oct. Afternoon.

I added a cluster of circles (one was made with the rounded banner die-namic-love that teeny scallop half circle. Hide it behind a panel to make it look like a full circle peeking out) to the left bottom corner of the card and used a strip of the small scallop border (see you NEED all different sizes of scallops for just the right look!) and some stitching to help make the PI stand out.
There is still a lot to see today. So off you go. Thanks again for stopping by. Two more days till the BIG release. More peeks coming tomorrow.

Day 2....MFT Teaser Time!

Sooooo, wasn't yesterday a great start to the FUN?!!! Maybe you'll be a lucky and win one of the new sets.  Kim will announce the winners each day.

Today a new Joline and Flopsy are showing off their stuff. I know you're gonna love them, especially when you see the new die-namics you can use with them.....butterflies and waves and flat bottom clouds!!! Swooon!
AND you'll also be excited to know that the 4th addition of The Twisted line of stamps is being released this month. Get ready for some laughs with this Twisted Foursome Set!

Here's my flopsy card....he's set sail and looks quite good as the captain of his ship. The new Echo Park Paper was calling out to be paired with this set. Ahhhhh! those WAVES, I'm loving them.  My favorite part about the die is (like the Fresh Cut grass die-namic) you get two usable pieces from one cut.  Both the positive and the negative were used on my card.  I get two rows of waves with the ease of 1 cut! LOOOVE that.
Flopsy is colored with copics and the rest is pieced up with coordinating paper. The flag on the sail boat is a separate piece so you can choose to add it or leave it off. The finishing touch to the card was the addition of the clouds......ahhhhhh! Something about those flat bottoms that just make me smile. They are hip, and cool, crisp and clean AND having options in clouds is NICE!
In case you were wondering. I used MFT cardstock here-sno cone, whipcream and x-press blending cs.

I'll send you on your way.  Be prepared for lots of chuckles today (the Twisted Foursome set is GREAT!) and be on the look out for Joline, too.  She's so sweet!  See you back here tomorrow.

Teasers of Spring are in the air, and boy am I ready. Lots of fabulous stamps and cool new die-namics are in the works.

Up first are peeks at 3 new sets: Clearly Sentimental about Time (last month's Triple Scoop), Fred Bear Out West, and Die-namics Companion - The Great Outdoors. I've got sweet little Fred for you today.
I used a fabby sketch by Karen (it was the Sweet Sunday Sketch from a few weeks back) and some new Oct. Afternoon dp-Camp Fire to show Fred off in his finest Western Ware! See that perfect scallop along the bottom???? It's a new die-namic (AND YES you NEED another scallop die, this one is the Perfect-O size! ☺) Simply Scallops.
Other MFT products used on my card are:
Hot Fudge cs (sorry, it's currently out of stock. but check back soon).

Now head back to Kim's blog for the line up of Teaser Posts. See you back here tomorrow for more fun.

Happy Birthday Wendy!

I am just thrilled to be a part of this fun Birthday Blog Hop to celebrate Wendy Bond's birthday.  Karen was such a sweetie to organize the fun.  Wendy is super talented and there's nothing better than being showered with love on your birthday.
Hopefully you just came from Charlene's blog. If not, you can hop back to the start with Karen. As much as I wanted to ink up one of my Pure Innocence cuties, I decided to dig a little deeper and use a stamp I hadn't seen in a while.
This Maisy Ketto stamp from Stamping Bella was just what I had in mind. I colored her with copics and dressed her up with a little Stickles Glitter. The sentiment comes from MFT, though, it's a sentiment from Birthday Girl à la mode.  She's finished off with a sweet little twill-button-twine combo!

Wendy, hope your birthday is really special! Now off you go to Jackie's blog!  See you back here tomorrow for our first MFT Teaser Day!

Time for Wednesday Stamp Club!

Another week and another great sketch to work with. My Favorite Things has made it easy and fun to play along each week with our WSC challenge.  Every week a MFT gift voucher is up for grabs and if you use MFT stamps you could win an extra $5! Here's the sketch for this week.

And here is my card.  I've been telling you each week, that I'm trying to use some of my older stamps from my stash. This one is from another great Stephanie Fizer set, Rainy Day Friends!

The sentiment is beautiful and that froggie is just too, cute! Kept this one really simple to let the dainty dots doily die-namic take center stage.

If this looks a little different to you, it's because I decided to leave in all the little circles. I had to be careful when removing it from the die and it took a little extra patience while adding adhesive.  I made sure I put a small dot of The Best Glue Ever on each piece to make sure they wouldn't fall out after I put this on my card.  Papers are SU In Colors. I've had them for some time now, just haven't used them much, yet.
Join us in the MFT forum for fun and chit chat this week. I also can't wait to see how you use the sketch. Have fun!

Glimmer Mist and Grunge Paper

I decided to pull out the Glimmer Mists I have and play around with them a bit.  I also thought it would be fun to give the Tim Holtz Grunge Paper a trial run.
I bought some that other week and thought a sweet little butterfly would be a good fit for my first time. I die cut the butterfly with my SU butterfly Bigz die, ran it through the big shot again with the PTI Book Print Impression plate and then spritzed it with some shimmery Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist. I then finished it off with some walnut stain distress ink around the edges. Pretty, huh?!

I also spritzed up a packaging tag and used some stamps from this month's Unity KOTM....to the moon & back! (there's still time to order this kit, if you aren't already a club member! Membership has it's rewards, too ☺) .

It's been a bit of a fun week for me, as I'm pulling out some of my under used and even some new crafty products. I'm taking full advantage of non-commitment stamping ☺

Final Ippity Challenge for Jan.

Yep, this marks our 4th challenge for the new {ippity} challenge with a twist. This week is our TWIST week....pull out those brads!
You must use brads somewhere on your creation for this week's challenge.

Remember there is still time to play along in this challenge and the other 3 for a total of 4 entries into the GRAND PRIZE! we're still working out the details of what's included in the prize package, but it is a package and not JUST a stamp set! When you upload to SCS (you must do so, to be entered for the prize) use keyword IHHTC1 and ippity!

I was into using grey this weekend, thanks to the Moxie Fab challenge, Grey is the new Black! I paired up my grey with one of my fave color combos-razzleberry, simply chartreuse, and Hawaiian Shore! I haven't used bigger brads in a while and I remembered I had these great corduroy grey ones and thought they'd make the perfect center for one of my flowers. The smaller brads are pewter brads. Stamps are by {ippity} of course- You Deserve, Totally Happy, and Dots for Sure!
Contact an {ippity} Chick to order!
Maria is up next

and then hop back to the {ippity}blog for the list of chicks posting ippity, too!

A Quick Sunday Post

I've been tempted by the Moxie Fab challenge....Grey is the New Black. I was inspired by this great paper from Bella Blvd. called Midterm.
Love all those colors with the grey, so I got busy with some MFT die-namics and stamps.  This was a quicky I made yesterday before J's soccer game. I really played up the green and yellow, it just felt happy for a birthday card.

die-namics used:
1/4 rosette
notebook edge
framed greetings
and the stamps are from the Framed Greetings set and More Essential Sentiments.

See you back tomorrow for another grey challenge card with my ippity stamps!

FWF-Lovely You

I used last week's FWF challenge, This Card, for the inspiration on my card. See, told you more polka dots! I layered quite a few stamps on this one and really like how it came together. Just start with your lightest ink and work to the darker colors. The music notes are stamped in Kraft ink, then the hearts in Walnut Stain distress ink, finished off with the sentiment in Riding Hood Red.
The music notes are from the {ippity} set (contact an Ippity Chick to purchase this one) Music of My Heart and the sweet heart charm I created is from the {ippity} set, Life's Little Moments.  Everything else is from the Jan.2011 KOTM..to the moon and back!  I was so excited when it arrived in my mailbox this week ☺ I love that scripty sentiment.
Be sure to see all the Friends With Flair participants by hopping on over to Angela's blog. This week's challenge will be listed there too!

Baby Polka Dots!

I'm obsessed with polka dots.  If you look at my SCS gallery lately, almost every project has some dots on them. I love them though, and won't stop using them.  I've got a cute clean and simple baby card for you all today.  It felt great to pull out one of my There She Goes sets-Bit of Star Dust.
A friend needed a baby card and while I had some in my stash, I decided I wanted to make one. Paper is Jillibean (OMG! have you seen their sneak peeks for CHA yet?! cute, cute stuff comin'!)

WSC! Hoooo-Ray!

Week 3 of our new weekly Wed. Stamp Club sketch challenges. Here's what you have to work with this week. I think you'll find it easy and fun!
I pulled out one of my all time FAVE Stephanie Fizer sets-Guess Hoo? I've got a thing for owls, didja know??  Honestly, it all kind of started with this set and THIS set.  Then all of a sudden I owned a bunch of owl stamps and even got the Owl Pandora bead....he's just the cutest!
I  added the stacking stars die-namic, the little leaf from the ShelteringTree and leaf trio die-namic,and some MFT felt. Did you spy the new felt in the boutique? and what about the new ribbon bundles? Yep, got those on my order, real fast! Card stock here is MFT Hot Fudge and Fossil (both out right now, keep checking back).
These designer papers are new Oct. Afternoon-Campfire! I've been resisting the paper pad, but got my OA fix with a few of the patterns in 12x12.  Just enough to make me happy ☺
Looking forward to all the gorgeous MFT creations you'll be making with this sketch. I know that cuz, the last two weeks have been FAB!

Kim's got the line up of DT and Challenge Team inspiration!

Be an MFT VIP!

It's time again for another great My Favorite Things VIP kit. That means you can get a whole fabulous bundle of MFT products 2 weeks early(before the Feb. release), including the new Who's That Girl stamp set! This kit is only available for 1 day, so act fast. And while you're at it, don't forget the new cute à la modes....you'll want to make sure those end up in your cart, too.

Hopefully you just arrived from my oh-so-talented stampy friend, Christina's blog. If not, be sure to hop on back to Kim's blog for all the details about tonights VIP hop!

This month's kit is just as fabulous as ever. Here's what you get:
My How You've Grown VIP Collection $36.90 (will be available ONLY through Jan. 19 at 11:59 PM EST)
  • My How You've Grown WTG stamp set
  • Sweet Beginnings (VIP exclusive stamp set - will never be offered for sale or be available again $9 value, FREE)
  • Simply Scallops Die-namics Die
  • My Mind's Eye Tickled Pink 6 X 6 patterned paper pad
  • My Mind's Eye Tickled Pink Bling

I decided to continue on making something sweet for my friend who is having a baby (I shared the Oh Baby! card I made her the other day). I've had this empty jar (while this one isn't from MFT, there are some perfect jars in the MFT boutique, that you can purchase HERE!) sitting on my desk for months now, and while brain storming ideas for this set, it hit me. I love all the sweet sentiments and words of wisdom included in the My How You've Grown set and the FREE mini set, Sweet beginnings. I knew it would make a great way to give advice to any mom to-be, wether it's a new mom or a seasoned mom of 3, like my friend. Little reminders about parenting are always helpful!

I did the jar up in pinks (she found out she's having a girl), added some coordinating buttons with with the button quartet die-namic and mounted it all on the Layered Labels die-namics. I also added a row of scallops, thanks to the Simply Scallop die-namic included in this months kit. I added my favorite sentiment from the set to the decorated lid of the jar. The rest of the quotes I stamped on to coordinating pieces of paper that I rolled up and tied off with some pink twine.

I even added some blank pieces of cs and some extra twine, so in the future my friend can add her own thoughts and sweet moments she wants to remember. That way the jar has a purpose for the future-a sweet place to keep precious baby memories. They do grow so fast and it's easy to forget the little things and moments.
Thanks for hopping by. Continue on to Carole's fabulous blog. I know she'll have a great story to go along with her amazing project.
Happy Hopping and Happy Shopping!
