Color Throwdown 495-Hello

Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday!

It's Jodi here with us this week, and this magical color combination this week! This bedding is what her daughter wants for her wizard inspired room, and I love the combo of navy, burgundy and gold! I sure hope you all like it, too! As always, feel free to incorporate any neutrals into your design!

If you upload to a public gallery, please use the key words CTD495, and please use #ctd495 and #colorthrowdown on social media sites. Also, when linking up your card using the linky tool at the bottom of the post, please link to your specific post, not a generic link to your blog. All of the "rules" are in the right sidebar, so check them out to be sure. Please note, no digital designs, only digital images that are printed off and colored, will be accepted. Totally digital designs will be removed from the link up.

I went with lots of white space on today's card and really played up the gorgeous Wine colored ink with the beautiful Something Wonderful floral image by Reverse Confetti. I love using it as a background on the Lacy Scallop Circle Confetti Cut.  I used a bit of the navy color to accent the Stitched Rays Cover Panel Confetti cut in the background with Navy Cardstock

I added in the gold from the inspiration photo with the Hello & Thanks Label Confetti Cuts and tucked in a trio of sequins.

Check out the beautiful creations from the team this week! They are sure to inspire you, they always inspire me!! Have fun creating, we cannot wait to see what you come up with using these colors!!

Stock Your Stash-Reverse Confetti

Did you hear? There's a new challenge up over on the RC Blog. The SFYTT retired last month, so this month we are trying something new. It's called Stock Your Stash.....giving you an excuse to bulk up your card stash at home. Each month there will be a new theme. To kick things off, since it is Reverse Confetti's Birthday month we have a Birthday Theme. You can read all about it on the RC Blog

I used the sweet little Moon Men stamp set and made a sweet little moon girl. :) I colored her up pink and used the balloons from Monkey Business. I did a little paper piecing with them and some pretty patterns from Paper Bliss paper pack. I used a different pattern in the background, too. I went back and forth on using a sentiment from the Moon Men stamp set but settled on a sentiment  from Birthday Wishes. I needed something a little bolder.

Here are the challenge details.

There will be a new Stock Your Stash challenge posted on the Reverse Confetti blog on the 1st of each month.

The sketch link list will be open from the 1st until noon CST on the 29th of the month. The link list will be on each of the STOCK YOUR STASH posts.

Reverse Confetti stamps and/or Confetti Cuts are required to win.  This is a way we get to thank our customers for using our stamps.  Anyone is welcome to play, though!

You may enter as many times as you wish.

Use #SYSChallenge when playing along with this challenge.

There will be a random winner selected each month and that person will receive a $20 gift certificate to the Reverse Confetti store. The winner of challenge will be posted on the Reverse Confetti blog at the end of the month.

I hope you'll join us. The participation has been awesome.
Hugs, Lisa

Coffee Lovers Spring/Summer Blog Hop

Hello! I'm excited to be joining in with the Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop with Lil' Inker Designs. It's always such a great time and LOTS of prizes up for grabs. So come play along.

I am so super excited to show off a sneak peek of the awesome new coffee products being released on June 11.

I wanted to make a bright and sunny card to show off these awesome new stamps and dies. I first cut out the mug and all it's details with the Coffee Talk 2 Dies. I stamped a sentiment from the GIANT new set called Coffee Talk 2 Stamps. Can we talk about that font??? Isn't this one great??  I love it and the whole set has a mix of fonts and styles you will love, too. It's so fun. I layered them on top of the Wrappers Delight-Sunburst die

That's it from me today. Be sure to stop by the Coffee Lovers Blog AND the LID Blog to see what Laura and a few of our team members have done. pssst.....she's giving away a $25 gift certifcate.
Thanks for stopping by. Have a great weekend.
Hugs, Lisa

Color Throwdown 494-friendship

Hello, Color Throwdown fans! It's Amy here with you as this week's host, and I've chosen a Memorial Day weekend theme for you to play with using the colors red, white and blue. I hope you are inspired by the above graphic and find a little time to get inky over the long holiday weekend.

If you upload to a public gallery, please use the key words CTD494, and please use #ctd494 and #colorthrowdown on social media sites. Also, when linking up your card using the linky tool at the bottom of this post, please use a direct link to your specific post, not a generic link to your blog.  All of the "rules" are in the right sidebar, so check them out to be sure.  And no digital designs--only digital images that are printed off and colored will be allowed. Totally digital designs will be removed from the link up.

I went with soft and subtle for today's card. I adore the color Mist from Reverse Confetti and I inked up the floral block from the recently released Pattern Blocks. I stamped it in Mist ink onto a Premium Polar white card stock panel that was cut with the Kindness Cards Confetti Cuts

I then stamped the sentiment in Midnight ink at the top of the panel and tied on some red twine around the bottom. I finished the card by popping up the panel with some foam dimensions.

Color Throwdown493-Great Year

Hello, Color Throwdown fans!  Broni is here as our hostess this week!  She chose a fresh spring/summer color palette for us to play with: Aqua, Lime Green, and White.  These are generic colors, and you are free to add other neutrals if you wish.

If you upload your paper-crafted creation to a public gallery please use the keyword CTD493, and when uploading on social media sites please use #ctd493 and #colorthrowdown.  Please be sure to check out all the guidelines for playing along in the sidebar.

I needed one more teacher card for the end of the year. My kids are done for the year in 3 days! I have mixed emotions about this. They are starting summer break super early this year, but it will be nice to sleep in a little and slow things down a bit. I pulled out my favorite apple set, All Apples and inked it up with  RC Aqua. I used the All Apples Confetti Cuts to cut out all the apple parts.

In the background you'll see I stacked two images from the new Pattern Blocks stamp set in Iced Aqua. I hid the seam with a strip of Lime Green card stock and pattern paper from Cheerful & Kind

Color Throwdown 492-Beautiful Moments

A little late, but I still made it. It's been crazy town here in the Henke house as we wrap up the school year and head into State Cup play for soccer. Busy, busy!

Hi, everyone! It's time for a new challenge! Barbara is here with your colors for this week. Remember, we're using generic colors, so as long as you use the color values shown: Red, pale yellow, and light gray you'll be good...the color police won't come after you--this is all about having fun! And, feel free to incorporate any other neutrals you need in your design, as well.

If you upload to a public gallery, please use the key wordsCTD492and please use #ctd492 and #colorthrowdown on social media sites. Also, when linking up your card using the linky tool at the bottom of the post, please link to your specific post, not a generic link to your blog--all of the "rules" are in the right sidebar, so check 'em out to be sure. Importantly, though, no digital designsonly digital images that are printed off and colored will be allowed. Totally digital designs will be removed from the link up.

I hope you all aren't tired of seeing the Tall Blooms set from Reverse Confetti....I just can't put it away. I combined it with some just released goodies. I water colored them this time and used the Tall Blooms Confetti Cuts to cut out the flowers.
I started with the Stitched Rays in Buttercup, and then I layered on the new Polka Panel Confetti Cuts with all the dots left in place.

I then cut a strip of Stone card stock and stamped the sentiment from My Tribe, also new, in Stormy ink

Check out the beautiful creations from the team this week! They are sure to inspire you, they always inspire me!! Have fun creating, we cannot wait to see what you come up with using these colors!!
