Color Throwdown 643-Sharing in your Sorrow

Hi, y'all!  Broni is our hostess for this week's CTD challenge.  She's always said that her favorite color is “water”, so this week she chose a fun palette of soft watery colors for us to play with.  The generic colors are Aqua, Ice Blue, and Pale Green

If you upload to a public gallery please use the keyword
CTD643, and please use #ctd643 and #colorthrowdown on social media sites.  Also, when linking up your card using the linky tool at the bottom of this post, please be sure to use a link to your specific post, not just a generic link to your blog.  And remember only paper creations are allowed.

Here is my card.. I used the pretty Lily of the Valley stamp set from Reverse Confetti.

I framed the pretty vase of flowers with the Double Stitched Window Cover Panel

We can't wait to see what you come up with this week.

Color Throwdown 642-Birthday Wishes

Hi, everyone, it's time for a new challenge! Barbara has our colors for this week. Remember, we're using generic colors, so as long as you use the color values shown: red, pink, green, and brown you'll be good...the color police won't come after you--this is all about having fun! And, feel free to incorporate any other neutrals you need in your design, as well.

If you upload to a public gallery, please use the key words CTD642, and please use #ctd642 and #colorthrowdown on social media sites. Also, when linking up your card using the linky tool at the bottom of the post, please link to your specific post, not a generic link to your blog--all of the "rules" are in the right sidebar, so check 'em out to be sure. Importantly, though, no digital designsonly digital images that are printed off and colored will be allowed. Totally digital designs will be removed from the link up.

I got some time to play with the new cake stamp set, Have Your Cake,  from Reverse Confetti. It is so much fun and beautiful and the options are plenty to customize a cake for any occasion. I used today's colors for all the pretty cake accents-Piggy Bank and Salsa inks for the flowers and cake accents and then Dark Roast for the sentiment and outline images.

I pulled out the Beautiful Balloons stamp set to use the large floral image along the bottom of my cake. I also used the "birthday wishes" from the same set, stamped in Dark Roast

.We can't wait to see what you come up with this week.

Reverse Confetti May Release!/ Happy Birthday!

It's release day and we are throwing a party!

Join me and the rest of the Confetti crew  & friends as we celebrate 8 years with Reverse Confetti! I adore Jen and this company and I am so proud to call her my friend. You can SHOP THE NEW RELEASE HERE
but you might want to join me first with the amazing release day blog hop.

Up first from me is the fun, festive birthday card. I can't tell you enough, how giddy I am about the new Punny Party stamp set. This cat with his bowl of sherbet is too much. I colored him up with Copics and used the Punny Party Confetti Cuts to quickly cut him out.

I then got busy on the sentiment using the awesome Celebrate Tag Confetti Cut. I did some ink smooshing in sherbert like colors-Twisted Citron, Abandoned Coral, and Carved Pumpkin. Once the water color paper was dried, I cut out the word Celebrate and layered the pieces over the base cut from Premium Polar White. I stamped the Punny Party sentiment along the bottom in Midnight ink. Then layered the finished card panel over an A2 Lime Green card base.

Sticking with the Punny Party set, I just HAD to use the sweet elephant image. It's so adorable and I love that there are two sizes to choose from. I used just the largest elephant today.

The sentiment is a combination of products. I used the Happy Confetti Cut for the layered happy word and then cut the word BABY from some scraps of water colored paper with the Letter Cuts. The "congratulations" is stamped in Iced Aqua Ink from the FREE with Purchase set, Hooray! I layered the finished panel onto an A2 Mist card base.

Thank you for all your kind words this week! I appreciate you stopping by my little place on the internet.

How precious is this little bear? I used the Head in the Clouds Cover panel as a stencil to create the pretty sky for my The Bear up There image. I stamped each of the stars and the moon and the bear on copic friendly paper and then colored them up. I used the matching The Bear Up There Confetti Cuts to cut out the images and then

I love that some of the sentiments from this set fit right inside the cloud. It makes for the perfect sentiment placement. I tucked in a few scattering of sequins to match the background and this was done.

Last release I created a shadow box card and wanted to use the sweet fish from Punny Party (OMG! get this set. it's amazing!). I cut the Oval Window Cover panel from Mist card stock and layered it over top of the shadow box base (I used Jennifer McGuire's instructions on how to make a shadow box card).

\

In the background, I ink blended some distress oxide inks-Twisted Citron, Broken China, and Salty Oceans. I then added some splatters and stamped some bubbles in Midnight ink. I stamped each of the three fish  and colored with Copics and then cut them out with the Punny Party Confetti Cuts. They are attached to the front panel with some clear acetate so they appear to be floating in the water. The sentiment makes me smile.

This last photo gives you an idea of how the shadow box card works and that the fish look to be floating.

Let's talk Mother's Day. It's coming fast and I had fun combining the new Beautiful Balloons stamp set with the Letter Cuts Confetti Cuts to customize this card. I used the Letter Cuts to cut out the word mom from some scrap water colored paper. It's such a great way to use up any pretty paper you have.

I then got busy and colored up some flowers and the balloon from the Beautiful Balloons stamp set with my Copics. I used the coordinating Beautiful Balloons Confetti Cuts to cut each piece out. I then mounted them around the open window of the new Oval Window Cover Panel. I cut the cover panel from Premium Polar White card stock and then stamped the greeting to finish off my sentiment in Midnight ink

My next card is fun and uses LOTS of new product also. I love how you can mix & match all the RC products. That b&w graphic background uses the FREE WITH PURCHASE stamp set called, Hooray!
Here is some info about the FREE set: To help celebrate our birthday, we are offering a new FREE WITH PURCHASE stamp set.  This stamp set will be sent to you at no charge when you make a purchase of $60+ (prior to adding this set) AND add it to your cart.  All details will be on the product page.  We've also brought back our previous FREE WITH PURCHASE SETS in case you missed out on those (one per order).

I used the sweet new Celebrate Tag Confetti Cut as a base for my my front card panel. I cut it from Piggy Bank card stock and stamped the flowers from Have Your Cake for a tone on tone background. I created a sweet cake in Bellini and Buttercup ink with the Have Your Cake stamps and then used the coordinating Have Your Cake Confetti Cuts to cut each piece layer and decorative piece. I glued them all together to make this festive sweet paper confection. I finished the sentiment with another greeting from Hooray!

Countdown to Confetti/ Day 1

It's time, it's time!! I am so excited to get the party started. It's the Countdown to Confetti AND we are celebrating Reverse Confetti's 8th birthday!

Before I jump into my projects for today, I wanted to let you know you could WIN an RC Gift Card simply by leaving comments and checking out all the design team blogs. we have been working hard and are excited to share with all of you.

I am kicking things off with a bright and cheerful cuppa of awesomeness. I LOVE this image from the Cup of Friendship stamp set. I colored it up with Copic markers and then used the coordinating Cup of Friendship Confetti Cuts to cut it out. I then did some ink smooshing with bright yellow distress ink, Mustard ink.

I added in a strip of designer paper and stamped the sentiment from Cup of Friendship in Midnight ink.

I used the same stamp set, Cup of Friendship, and used the second floral image and made this Tent Topper card. It was easy and turned out so sweet.

I used Mist card stock cut from Along the Dotted Line Cover plate. I added the amazing Happy Confetti Cuts cut from Darling Dots 6x6 paper.

I finished the sentiment off with some Iced Aqua ink and the Happy Coordinates stamp set.

Join me for the hop.
