Picket Fence Studios/ Claire BFF

Hello to the weekend! This sassy girl is ready for some fun. I love the BFF line from Picket Fence Studios. Claire girl is the newest in the line up. I can't wait to send this off to my niece that is starting college in the fall. I love her glasses and backpack, I think she looks ready to take on the world. I stamped her in Intense Black ink, colored her up with Copics and then used the Claire BFF die to cut her out. You can purchase the stamp and die separate or SAVE 20% by purchasing the Claire BFF Bundle

Here is a closer look at the details. I added a subtle background with some tone on tone stamping and the Polka Dot Grunge. I then tucked in a scattering of the sequins.

The sentiment comes from the Because stamp set. I love that there is a mix of bold and smaller words. The fonts are great, too.

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you have a great weekend.

Lil' Inker Designs/ June Release/ Day 3

We are still celebrating.  It's  Day 3 of the  Lil' Inker Designs June Release and there are more fun and fabulous stamps and dies just for you! I love it all, and you will too! If you missed the kick off, we started the party two days ago. Go ahead and check that out, too.

Oh, wait....before I dive in, you can find all the release details over on Laura's Blog. check it out! You can find the shopping link HERE....but you'll want to wait to see what the team has to share. It's soooo good, trust me.

Don't forget....you can WIN IT ALL!

I wanted to show you all that the Cake Party  stamps can be used for all kinds of occasions. That's the beauty of all the bits and pieces being separate, so you can customize your card easily. I used my Zigs to water color the sweet lil lion and added some balloons. I then used the matching Cake Party dies to cut him out.

I then grabbed an Iced Aqua card base and stamped one of the gorgeous new Hand drawn Thankfulness. Oh, the font of this set....it's so pretty! I heat embossed with some white embossing powder. I love how it pops against the aqua card stock. I then used some Sand card stock and  framed it up with a giant circle from  Stitched Mats-circles dies. I finished it off with a scattering of wood veneer stars to match the stars on the balloons.

Today I have a second card to share. I went with a tone on tone card and I wanted to showcase that fun cake design from the Cake Party stamp set. I stamped it in Coral ink onto a 4.25 square panel and then framed it up with the Stitched Mats-Squares in Piggy Bank card stock.

The sentiment is a stand out with the giant scripty font.I have been dying for a word die like this for birthdays. Happy Birthday To You.  I cut three layers of it and glued them together to create some dimension. Here is a closer look at the thickness.

And one more detail shot of the finished card. It's so pretty and girly and I know just who I am sending this to.

All you have to do is leave comments along your way  today and every day, as you hop.  We'll pick one winner from a DT Member's blog. You have until July 3, 11:30pm EST to leave your comments.

Don't forget....you can WIN IT ALL!

I love me some tea. I was excited for this new set, called Time for Tea. I used the Time for Tea Dies to cut out the cup with some Polar White card stock and then I stamped the sentiment in Midnight ink. I tucked in the sweet little tea bag tag on the side. I decided I needed to add some flowers. I reached for my favorite Perky Posie. I added these to the striped paper cut with the Silly Stitched Rectangle

Here is a close up of the detail on this card. I also tucked in a layer of the sweet new cover panel behind the main level. Love the little border of stitched design that peeks out from behind. It's called Quilted Stitched Stepping Stones Cover Panel.

Color Throwdown 549-Hello

Good Wednesday Morning! Vickie is our hostess for this week's Color Throwdown Challenge #549!  She chose some of my favorite colors and I love them even more in this combo. Blue, Orange, and Grey.

If you upload to a public gallery, please use the keyword CTD549, and please use #ctd549 and #colorthrowdown on social media sites. Also, when linking up your card using the linky tool at the bottom of the post, please link to your specific post, not a generic link to your blog. All of the "rules" are in the right sidebar, please check them out if you are in doubt! One last detail to remember, no digital designs - only digital images that are printed off and colored will be allowed. Totally digital designs will be removed from the link up.

Check out the beautiful creations from the team this week! They are sure to inspire you, they always inspire me!! Have fun creating, we cannot wait to see what you come up with using these colors!

I mentioned last week that I have been coloring along with the Daily Marker 30 Day challenge. I like to push myself out of my comfort zone with this challenge. I pulled out my favorite giant floral from Concord & 9th, Hello Lovley,  and did some more practice with  my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. I went a little bold and used this week's colors for the flower. I LOVE the grey leaves.

I also used the previous sketch from  Freshly Made sketches to pull my card together. It's a classic layout, with so many options. I wanted the flower to really stand out, so I kept the sentiement super simple by just using the die cut hello banner from the coordinating Concord & 9th die set. I purchased the stamp and die set as a bundle to save some money, Here is the link:  Hello Lovely Bundle

Check out the beautiful creations from the team this week! They are sure to inspire you, they always inspire me!! Have fun creating, we cannot wait to see what you come up with using these colors!

Lil' Inker Designs/ June Release-Day 1

It's an exciting day around here. It's RELEASE Day for Lil' Inker Designs and there are some fun and fabulous stamps and dies just for you! I love it all, and you will too!

Oh, wait....before I dive in, you can find all the release details over on Laura's Blog. check it out! You can find the shopping link HERE....but you'll want to wait to see what the team has to share. It's soooo good, trust me.

Let's party! This party themed stamp set called Cake Party is too cute. I love the party animals included and that all their bits and pieces are seperate stamps allowing you the creative freedom to create just about any party scene you desire.

I started with a trio of critters and colored them up with Copics. I am playing along with The Daily Marker 30 Day coloring challenge and one of Kathy's tips is to use colored pencils to add extra shading or details to Copic colored images. I tried a bit of that with these guys and love the little extra it adds. I then used the matching Cake Party Dies to cut out the images and then glued on the party hats and balloons.

I set those guys aside and got busy on my background. There is a new fun, textured Cover Plate this release and it's called Quilted Stitched Stepping Stones. I love it. I added it to some Premium Polar white card stock and then masked off a ground line and blended on some Squeezed Lemon distress oxide ink to the top and some Weathered Wood to the bottom. Oh and a stamping tip, if you are using a cover plate to add texture to your background and want your sentiment stamped directly on the card base, be sure to stamp FIRST. I used the sentiment from Cake Party to finish off the party theme.

Color Throwdown 548-Fins up

Hello there! We have Lynn here as our hostess for this week's Color Throwdown Challenge #548!  She chose some mermalicious colors for all of us to create with this week. I hope you'll like creating with the colors PinkAquaLavender and Mint for this week's challenge and I hope they inspire you to create something special. We are using generic colors, so as long as you use the color values shown, you are all set! As always, please feel free to incorporate any neutrals that you need in your design as well!

If you upload to a public gallery, please use the keyword CTD548, and please use #ctd548 and #colorthrowdown on social media sites.

I colored this up for the current Daily Marker 30 Day color Challenge by Kathy Racoosin. Are you playing along? I love this challenge. It's fun to just sit and color. Some time my images end up on cards, but many do not. This one I did color for today's Color Throwdown Challenge, the colors just fit!

I actually started with the background. I did some ink smooshing with Broken China, Milled Lavender, and Cracked Pistashio. Once that layer of color dried, I then used the Scalloped Cover Panel (all links below in Linkdeli. thank you for using my affiliate links at no charge to you.) as a stencil and blended over the the inked background with the same colors to show off the scallops in a subtle, yet pretty way.
 as

I then pulled out my Copics and got busy coloring up the mermaid from Mermaid Kisses Stamp set by Reverse Confetti. I then used the Mermaid Kisses Confetti Cuts to cut out each of the images. I stamped the sentiment in Midnight ink along the bottom of the panel. I layered the finished panel with some Iced Aqua card stock and added that to a top folding A2 Premium Polar White card base.

Check out the beautiful creations from the team this week! They are sure to inspire you, they always inspire me!! Have fun creating, we cannot wait to see what you come up with using these colors!

Picket Fence Studios June Release

It's a great day! it's the Picket Fence Studios June Release and it's a good one. You are going to love it as much as the whole team does. As always there is a great mix of products, something for everyone. You can shop the New Release HERE

I am an animal lover and I REALLY love dogs. We have two beautiful Golden Retrievers, Bosco and Cash, and the Lucky Pup stamp set stole my heart. The sentiments are so great (and true) and the dog image is adorable. I started this card  by stamping the dog image with Intense Black ink and then did a little masking so I could create a ledge for the pup to "hang" over. I used the Life Changing Blending Brushes with some Weathered Wood Distress Oxide inks.  I then colored him up with some Copics.

I have been hoping for some great word dies by PFS and this month we get them, complete with an outline shadow stamp. yay! I used just the scripty Seriously word Die and cut it from some pretty striped paper. I cut it three times and layered them up. I added it under the pup and then completed the sentiment with the most perfect sentiment from Lucky Pup

I can't wait to see what you all purchase and I really can't wait to see what you all create with your new goodies. Have fun shopping and be sure to check out what the rest of the team has created for this release. You can follow us all on Instagram or find us on the Picket Fence Studios Blog.

Color Throwdown 547/ Lil' Inker Designs

Hi, everyone!  It’s Lori and it’s my turn as hostess for this week’s Color Throwdown challenge.  The colors from this week's inspiration photo are yellow, orange, hot pink, and green.  The colors are generic and it's fine if you want to add in other neutrals along with the challenge colors.

Once you’ve finished your card or other paper crafting project using the colors, add a direct link to your creation using the linky tool at the bottom of the post.  And, don’t forget to use the keyword CTD547 if you upload your project to an online gallery. You can use the keywords #ctd547and #colorthrowdown if you upload to any social media sites (yes, we're on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter!).

I love shaker cards. This Pineapple Shaker die is a good one, with lots of options on ways to use it. You really do get your bang for your buck with this one. I added a water colored panel behind the shaker opening and used the challenge colors of distress ink and smooshed them in the background.

I used the coordinating Be SWeet stamp set to add my favorite sentiment to the center of the shaker element. I stamped it in Midnight ink once the water colored panel dried. I added some sequins in the challenge colors and attached them to a layer of Limelight card stock.

Before we jump into June, we'd like to say thank you to our May Guest, Cécile Ribon.

Please help me give a warm welcome to our
June Guest, Alicia Thelin at A.Maker.

and here is the team:

Now let's see what you can do with these colors!
Thanks for stopping by.
