Color Throwdown 548-Fins up

Hello there! We have Lynn here as our hostess for this week's Color Throwdown Challenge #548!  She chose some mermalicious colors for all of us to create with this week. I hope you'll like creating with the colors PinkAquaLavender and Mint for this week's challenge and I hope they inspire you to create something special. We are using generic colors, so as long as you use the color values shown, you are all set! As always, please feel free to incorporate any neutrals that you need in your design as well!

If you upload to a public gallery, please use the keyword CTD548, and please use #ctd548 and #colorthrowdown on social media sites. Also, when linking up your card using the linky tool at the bottom of the post, please link to your specific post, not a generic link to your blog. All of the "rules" are in the right sidebar, please check them out if you are in doubt! One last detail to remember, no digital designs - only digital images that are printed off and colored will be allowed. Totally digital designs will be removed from the link up.

I colored this up for the current Daily Marker 30 Day color Challenge by Kathy Racoosin. Are you playing along? I love this challenge. It's fun to just sit and color. Some time my images end up on cards, but many do not. This one I did color for today's Color Throwdown Challenge, the colors just fit!

I actually started with the background. I did some ink smooshing with Broken China, Milled Lavender, and Cracked Pistashio. Once that layer of color dried, I then used the Scalloped Cover Panel (all links below in Linkdeli. thank you for using my affiliate links at no charge to you.) as a stencil and blended over the the inked background with the same colors to show off the scallops in a subtle, yet pretty way.

I then pulled out my Copics and got busy coloring up the mermaid from Mermaid Kisses Stamp set by Reverse Confetti. I then used the Mermaid Kisses Confetti Cuts to cut out each of the images. I stamped the sentiment in Midnight ink along the bottom of the panel. I layered the finished panel with some Iced Aqua card stock and added that to a top folding A2 Premium Polar White card base.

Check out the beautiful creations from the team this week! They are sure to inspire you, they always inspire me!! Have fun creating, we cannot wait to see what you come up with using these colors!
