Thanks Paper Smooches

It's the final day of October. How did that happen?? Time just goes crazy fast. That also means my time as a guest designer with Paper Smooches is up. I had a blast creating with Kim's awesome products. I have one more card to share today. Once again, I combined a whole bunch of the newly released products. I just love the coffee themed sets, this

And I'm just in time to mention....you check out the Coffee Lovers Blog and Paper Smooches Collaboration hop. You could win some great prizes! Details HERE

I used the Caffeinated Stamps and coordinating Caffeinated Icons Dies to create my sweet little coffee to go. The sentiment is from Caffeinated Two

In the background I added the houndstooth pattern with a Life Changing Blender Brush and the Essentials Stencils. I finished the cad off with a wooden heart that I colored up with a Copic marker. Papers and inks are all from The Stamp Market.

It's simple, and sweet, and punny....my favorite type of cards. Thanks for hanging with me today. Have a wonderful Halloween.

Catherine Pooler Retro Winter/ Guest Designer

So, I have been holding on to a little secret. I am so excited to share that I am a Guest Designer for the new Catherine Pooler Retro Winter Release. I just adore this release and the new colors of ink....swoon!!!

Today you can purchase all of the new products HERE
I got to play with the Happy Buddies stamp set and dies, along with the papers and inks. OMG....talk about cuteness overload.

My first card shows the darling deer from the set Happy Buddies (there are three critters and some other fun elements included). I colored him up with copics and added a banner and decided on the holidays sentiment from the set stamped in Sangria. I used the matching Happy Buddies dies to cut out the images.

I couldn't resist blending on some of the gorgeous new Hot Tub ink. It's perfect for sky and snowy backgrounds. I splattered on some white ink and added a scattering of the new Sequin pack, Cincinnati Mix. I mean, come on. How could I not love it....it's named after my city.

I grounded the cutie with some strips of fun paper designs from the new 6x6 Feeling Chilly paper pack. I just can't get enough of the color combo in this pack. It's awesome.

My next card I wanted to show off another set of the Happy Buddies. Yep, I had to use the deer again, but I paired him up with the sweet lil' bear.  They are holding the Happy banner and I stamped the "everything" sentiment along the bottom. The matching Happpy Buddies Dies make it easy to cut all the bits out.

I used all four of the new ink colors from the Spa Collection Inks  to give a festive confetti look to the background and tucked in some Cincinnati Mix sequins again. I also layered the stamped panel over a combo of the new Feeling Chilly papers. The patterns all mix and match perfectly.

Thanks for stopping by. Be sure to check out my Insta page and stories (@lisahenke) for more looks at the projects  I created.

Sugar Pea Designs March Sugar Sketch Guest Designer

***please scroll down for my LID release project***

I am super excited about this news. I am joining the Sugar Pea Designs team for the month of March as their Sugar Sketch Guest Designer. I can't wait to play along with the sketches each week. I am starting off the month with one of my favorite stamps, Rice Rice Baby

You'll see used bits and pieces from the Gift Tag-Sugar Cuts die to fill in the sketch elements. It is really fun to use what you have and try to stretch your supplies. I was amazed at how I used this one die on most of my cards this month. I love it! It isn't just for gift tags, that's for sure!

I colored up the sweet little penguin with my copics, cut him out and popped him up on the circle panel with some foam adhesive.

I stamped the sentiment (LOVE IT!) on to  the tag and tied on a solid twine bow. A scattering of sequins finish this one off.

Here is this week's sketch:

I hope you'll join me all month long with the Sugar Sketch Challenges. You can find all the details on the the Sugar Pea Designs Blog

Thanks for hanging with me! See you next week with another fun SPD Sketch.

Clearly Whimsy NEW Release {day 3}

It's the final day for the New Release Hop with Clearly Whimsy Stamps! I am so happy to be joining the team again today for a peek at ALL the new products NOW available in the store. Today I have a sweet card showing the adorable Gingerbread People Stamp set and Christmas Word Die

You should have arrived from the talented Jen Carter's Blog. I hope you have been leaving comments along the way for a chance at a PRIZE!

Gingerbread boys and girls make me smile. This new stamp set, Gingerbread People is a fun stamp set that will surely add holiday cheer to any project you  make this season. I used the boy from the set and selectively stamped the sentiment in red ink, leaving off the bottom words. I wanted to be sure to use the gorgeous new Christmas Word Die on my card today.

Here's a details shot of the main image panel. I just love that scripty word. I gave it a slight curve, it's thin enough to do this giving the word a bit of movement.

Here is a detail shot of the sugared up gingerbread boy. I stamped him on kraft card stock, added some shading with my Copic markers and then gave him a sugar coating with some chunky glitter! Such a sweet touch!

Now Head on over to my good friend Becky Carafa

Thanks so much for hanging with me during this Clearly Whimsy Release. I hope you had fun! I know I did. Thanks to Denise and the whole Clearly Whimsy Team for allowing me to design along side of them this release. Happy Shopping!

Winter Wonderland!

It's an off day around here, literally. My kids don't have school on election day so they are home and it's totally thrown off my day and I'm sure the rest of the week. We are going to have some fun at the movies this afternoon. We're taking them to see Where the Wild Things Are.
I worked hard yesterday on the Guest Designer challenge for MFT. OMG, have you seen the sneak peeks of their new line? They are A-dorable beyond belief. Every month they offer up a guest designer spot for the following month with a challenge right before the release (which is wed. night, btw). This month's challenge was to make a mostly white card. I looooove how this all came together. I added lots of embossing, dry and wet, stitching, and fun MFT stamps (Grow Love, Baby it's Cold Outside, and an Owl for all Seasons). I wanted to make a wintry forest-like scene. I used kraft cs and softened them up with some frosty white shimmer paint. I stamped and cut out the trees and embossed each layer. On the top layer of the round tree, I embossed some snowflakes from the owl set with clear embossing powder and then sponged on some mellow moss ink to make the white snowflakes really pop. It felt unbalanced, so I then debossed the second, pointy tree and sponged on the mellow moss ink, too. That left the inside of the debossed snowflakes white, as well. I also embossed the snowflakes in the background of the white square layer. here are some detail shots.
and then some stitching details. Aren't those hills just the best! I've always done them with a straight stitch, but I really love them with the zig zag stitch! I finished the card off with a pop of red with the rhinestones, a buttony bow, and the sentiment. Thanks for stopping by! See you tomorrow. Hugs, Lisa

Two-Post Monday!!!

It's a bonus Monday with 2 posts from ME! If you are looking for the MFT Blog Hop, please scroll down.
I always chuckle to myself, because it never fails, most of my BIG blog events happen on the same day! Today is Monday and Monday's are always the Unity's Guest Designer day on Angela's blog. I'm starting to get sad thinking about my time with Unity coming to an end. sniff, sniff!! I can't get over how fast July is flying by (my kids start school in a MONTH-eeee!) I am having a blast and can't say it enough-I am so grateful for this opportunity and for all the wonderful support from all of you!!! It's what keeps me going! Thank-YOU! Okay, I'll keep the rest of this short. First up is this sweet page of my little guy. I do have to share a little of the back story to this picture....I know a lot of you mom-stampers-blog/computer junkies can relate. Nicholas fell asleep like this waiting for me to get off the computer. It was nap time and I kept saying, "just one more minute", well he didn't have another minute in him and zonked out right on the living room floor waiting for me. I know, bad mom, BUT look at the adorable page I was able to create. I used one of Jennifer Buck's CAS scrapbook layouts with the yummy June Bug papers and Unity's July incentive kit, Stylin' Stars! Get this set for FREE when you sign up for the July KOTM!!!!
These owls just make me smile! They are part of the Hodge Podge of Happiness kit. And just because I {heart} buttons....I made this last card for today! The sweet cherries and sentiment are from the June 09 KOTM!
Okay, so maybe not so short, but I tried! Have a beautiful day! Hugs, Lisa
