Color Throwdown 453-Birthday Drinks

Hello, everyone!  Broni is here  to host the Color Throwdown this week.

With summer in full swing, I'm sure a lot of the country is in full heat & humidity mode, so I thought these refreshing beverages might be a suitable inspiration for us.

The generic colors are Raspberry PinkYellow, and Green.  For your paper-crafted creation, please use just these 3 colors with any neutrals you'd like to add.

If you upload to a public gallery, please use the keyword CTD453, and please use #ctd453 and #colorthrowdown on social media sites.  When linking your card using the linky tool at the bottom of the post, please use a specific link to your individual blog post and not just a generic link to your blog.  Also, please be sure to check out all the "rules" in the right sidebar.  We do not accept totally digital creations, only digital images printed, colored, and added to your paper-crafted project will be allowed.

We're looking forward to seeing your creations this week!  Check out what the amazing designers have uploaded for your inspiration.

The refreshing drink in the photo had me reaching for the new Mahalo stamp set from Reverse Confetti. I just love this tropical drink and it was a great theme for my sister's birthday card. I used Bumblebee Yellow ink for the umbrella and Magenta ink for the straw. I pieced up the coconut shell with some fun pattern paper from Under the Umbrella 6x6 paper pack. I cut it all out with the Mahalo Confetti Cuts.

I inked up the scripty birthday sentiment from  Sentiment Essentials in Parakeet ink.  I cut it out with the Sentiment Essential Confetti Cuts. The card base and All Framed Up Confetti Cuts are the amazing new Premium Polar White card stock. It's so smooth and crisp. I just love it.

Color Throwdown 452

Hi, everyone! It's time for a new challenge with the Color Throwdown team! Barbara is here with our colors for this week. Remember, we're using generic colors, so as long as you use the color values shown: green, yellow, red, and aqua, you'll be good...the color police won't come after you--this is all about having fun! And, feel free to incorporate any other neutrals you need in your design, as well.

If you upload to a public gallery, please use the key words CTD452, and please use #ctd452 and #colorthrowdown on social media sites. Also, when linking up your card using the linky tool at the bottom of the post, please link to your specific post, not a generic link to your blog--all of the "rules" are in the right sidebar, so check 'em out to be sure. Importantly, though, no digital designs--only digital images that are printed off and colored will be allowed. Totally digital designs will be removed from the link up.
For more inspiration, check out the other design team members' creations below, and get inky! We can't wait to see what you come up with this week.

I was so excited to have THE PERFECT image to use this week It's from the Lil' Inker Designs Rustic Spring stamp set. I used my copics to color up the sweet row of houses and then used the coordinating Rustic Spring Dies to cut it out. I made the card into a 4.25 square and added a fun stitched detail with the Silly Stitched Square dies and then cut out a window with the Stitched mats-Circles die.

Behind the window I wanted a sunshiney, happy feel so I sponged on some Scattered Straw Distress ink and then gave it a splattering of water to activate the ink. I tied on some twine to finish it off. The sentiment is stamped from the Jar of Flowers set. I just love the font and thought this makes for a perfect moving card.

Reverse Confetti July SFYTT

Hello Fetti Friends! I have a card for you today with the current SFYTT. There is still time to play along, so come check it out.

It's a dino party today! I just love these little prehistoric guys. I used one of them from the No Tomorrow stamp set to make a birthday card for one of my kid's friends. I colored him up with Copics and cut out the bits and pieces with the No Tomorrow Confetti Cuts. I added the party hat from Monkey Business and the cake from Later Gator

I used the Rounded Rectangle Band Confetti Cut with the Under the Umbrella paper and framed up the dino with one of the rectangles from All Framed Up in Navy cardstock. I back it with some Stone card stock and mounted it all onto a crisp white Premium Polar White card stock base. The sentiment from No Tomorrow is inked up in Stormy ink

Here's the sketch

Color Throwdown 451-Thanks Berry Much

Hello everyone! Amy Rysavy is our host for week's Color Throwdown challenge! She's chosen this awesome image of summery, refreshing watermelon for the inspiration for this challenge. The colours for this week is to use dark pink, pale pink, green, white . Remember we just use generic colors (so any brand/type/whatever you have will work) and you can always feel free to add in neutrals (white/black/etc) to make your creation pop!

If you upload your creation to a public gallery, please use the keyword CTD451, and please use #CTD451 and #colorthrowdown on social media so we can find your gorgeous creations!  When linking up your creation using the linky tool below, please be sure to link your specific post, not a general link to your blog.  All of the "rules" are in the right sidebar, and you can always check there to be sure!

One last detail to remember, no digital designs.  Only digital images that are printed off and colored will be allowed.  Totally digital designs will be removed from the link up.

I still had most of the new Reverse Confetti new release products still on my desk when I got started on this week's challenge, so I reached for the gorgeous strawberries from the Berry Sweet stamp set. I used Salsa and Piggy Bank card stock and stamped the images with Midnight ink. I used the Berry Sweet Confetti Cuts to cut them out. The berry stems were stamped in two of the new green ink colors, Grass and Parakeet

I anchored the sweet fruit onto a Pierced Round Top Layer Confetti Cut, cut from the Under the Umbrella designer paper. I also couldn't resist using the Squared Off Cover Panel Confetti Cut. I reminds me a bit of a berry basket, and I love how that all ties in with my card theme. I used the amazing new Premium Polar White card stock that RC just released. It's so crisp and smooth and just lovely!

Reverse Confetti July Release

Happy Reverse Confetti Release day!!! I am so excited for you all to get a chance to shop. All the new products are loaded into the store. Be sure to stop by Jen's Blog, she always has the release details.

Today I have a fun, whimsical shaker card for you. I used one of the awesome Hello Square Confetti Cut and Premium Polar White card stock to frame up an ink blended background. I made sure to layer a 4.25 square of acetate behind the die and then adhered some foam tape behind it to make room for the sequins.

I colored up the cutie-patootie dragon from Magical Day with copics. I also colored up a trio of stars from the set and die cut all the pieces with the matching Magical Day Confetti Cuts. Here is a close up of the dragon.

Be sure to check out the rest of the design team today!
