MFTWSC205-Beary Birthday

It has been mooooonths since I have played along with the MFTWSC challenge. I think it's been that long since I even touched any of my MFT stamps or dies. That changed yesterday. I ordered the new colors......OMG!!! they are gorgeous and so fun and the perfect way to freshen up any stamps! I did sneak in a new set, too. I couldn't help myself, I happen to love polar bears. I used Cold Day on today's card.

You'll also see I used Blueprints 1, Blueprints 2, and Blueprints 3 to add lots of pretty layers and accents. I colored the bear up with my copics.

The color combo I used today are the new Blueberry Prestige, Tropical teal, and Wild Wisteria. The Blueberry is my amazing, my favorite of all the new colors. I also purchased the Premium dye inks in all 6 new colors. Check out all the new colors HERE

Here is the sketch. There is still a little time to play. I'm off to see what the rest of the link up has for inspiration.

Have a beautiful Tuesday!

MFTWSC171-Hope You're on the Mend

I told you I was back in full force.....a card yesterday, one today, and TWO tomorrow, with MORE in the works.
There is a new Catered Crop challenge up. It's a Think Green Challenge....easy 'nough! Just use something Green on your card.

You can see I added green with my leaves and the pretty sequins (they're from Pretty Pink Posh).  I also stamped my sentiment in Gumdrop Green ink.

I'm also using this week's WSC 171 challenge with MFT. I haven't played along in weeks. I pulled out my pretty Sunflower Die-namics and nested the circle from Blueprints 3 into the pretty Designer Labels 3 Die-namcis. The other panels were quickly cut thanks to Blueprints 4. All links can be found below. Here is the sketch.

Check out the Catered Crop Recipe Swap and all the inspiration that Linda has included to get you started. Link up your creations!

Thanks so much for stoppin by today.

MFTWSC158-{HB2U}

I told you all I had a LOT of birthdays to prepare for. You'll be seeing a bunch more over the next few months. For some reason, I always wait until the last minute to create these cards. I did this one on the fly Saturday. My little guy needed it for a party on Sunday.

It's a little easier to create on the fly when you have a great sketch to follow. I was using the adorable puppy from Cupcake Cutie by MFT, so I went with this week's Wed. Stamp Club sketch.

I wasn't going to color the pup, so I stamped him on a kraft circle die cut from Blueprints 3 Die-namics. After I pieced up the balloon, I did decide to add in a little shading with my Copics. I used my W3 and W7 markers to add a bit of shading to ground the puppy.

The sentiment included in the stamp set was a bit too girly of a font for a boy birthday card. I went "shopping" in my stash, and I came across Gift Card Greetings II. bingo! It included the perfect sized sentiment to fit my strip. I stamped it in Chocolate Brown ink.

Thanks for stopping by today. I always love when you leave some kind words.

MFT WSC....almost on time {Celebrate}

My box of new goodies from My Favorite Things arrived Monday afternoon. It was a whole bunch of happy from the December release. Lucky for me, I needed a birthday card, so I was able to put the new Celebratory Greetings to work, along with a whole other bunch of new MFT goodies I ordered.

I used last week's Wednesday Stamp Club sketch 154 to make this card come together quickly.  I'm in love with the newest Blueprints 10 Die-namics. Those rounded panels make me happy! So do the sweet little circle elements. They are SO fun to work with.

I used the heart on here along with one of the Mini Tab Foursome Die-namics just like the sketch.
I love this color combo: Nightshift Blue, Sno cone, Fuse Green, and Sweet tooth with a bit of Kraft mixed in.

I stamped the pretty new Text Background on the Kraft with new Natural ink. Two things.....those new rubber background stamps are HUGE and soooo cool, and second Love that new ink stamped on Kraft. Kraft on Kraft is great, but I really like the softer tone you get when you stamp the Natural on Kraft.

I haven't done up the inside of a card in a really long time. I decided to stamp the greeting from Celebrate Big.

Thanks for stopping by today. I was pretty excited to show off this sweet card. It was also nice to take a little break from holiday cards. I needed two more today, and I finished them off. Phew....until next year, I'll probably be giving Christmas cards a rest.

Have a great day!

MFTWSC-Celebrate

I am wasting no time this week with the Wednesday Sketch Club Challenge this week. I love during the Release Parties that the new sketch is usually shared, and when I woke up this morning the challenge was already posted. So I got crafting.

I was sooooo inspired by Amy's nautical themed baby projects from the New Product Tour. The colors, the stripes and the anchors.....LOVE!

I hope you aren't getting sick of the Atlantic papers from Studio Calico. Obviously, I'm not. I pulled out some of the blue toned patterns and used them on this week's card. You can find this week's Challenge details and the sketch HERE.

I am really embracing this nautical trend. I love the anchor die included in the Sea Charms Die-namics set from MFT. I tied one on with some Hemp Twine and a Kraft button.

I was also fortunate to get this new Accent it-Celebrate Die-namics with one of my last DT packages when I was on the MFT team. I had to hold on to it until after it was officially released last night. I was  eager to bust it out. I looove how these letters are cut out. I added the diagonal strip from Washi Patterns along the bottom.

I was going to add a "happy Birthday" sentiment to the inside, but then decided I would leave it blank. I think the celebrate on the outside lend this to becoming a card that could be used for any occasion. So I just added a strip of those diagonals along the bottom.

While I was working with MFT sketches, I decided to also bust out a card for last week's sketch. You can find the WSC131 sketch details HERE.

I kept my card fairly simple and followed the sketch to a tee. I used Blissful Butterflies in place of the flower in the corner.

I cut three different sizes and stamped the matching images on to the Primitive Cream cs in Pink Lemonade, Kraft and Lemon drop (stamped off once. I can't wait for my Banana split ink to arrive) inks.

I do love the Chalkboard Frame Die-namics. They are so fun to work with and you really can build just about any size frame you desire.  I stamped some Darling Dots over top in Cream ink and then used my Tim Hotlz, Tiny Attacher to add those small staples. I love the rustic feel they add to my card.

Thanks for hanging with me today! wishing you a fabulous weekend! See you back here in a day or two with some more crafty stuff.
