WSC120- Hello Roses

It's time for our weekly Wednesday Stamp Club with My Favorite Things. I got a little techy this week, and did some embossing and Copic coloring on Kraft. I loooved a sample Lisa Johnson did during Teasers and I had to give it a try. I loooove how the white embossing on the kraft just makes those flowers POP!

The stamp set is Sweet Roses and I used the complimentary Die-namics set, Roses and Leaves to cut out my pieces.

I framed them all up on an Insta Frame Die-namics and stamped the sentiment with pretty Orange Fizz ink. I wrapped some yummy Hemp Twine around the bottom so I could add a bow.

I used a variety of Copic markers to color up the inside of the roses and leaves.

You'll see from the sketch that I flipped it and now my pennants are all pointing up on this card. I was going to use some pretty pattern paper but decided to showcase some for gorgeous background stamps the MFT makes. I have been doing this a bit more....trying to really get some extra milage out of my stamps. I am having fun making a custom look for my cards.

I used Fishtail Flag Stax Die-namics to cut out four pennats-two from Orange Fizz, one from Sno Cone, and another one from Smooth White cs. I cut them down and then stamped some flowers from Spring Background (in Orange fizz ink), polka dots from Darling Dots (in Sno Cone ink) , and the pretty scripty font from Pretty Poppies(in Orange Fizz ink).  I grounded them all with a Kraft strip from Blueprints2. I just love that stitched detail this die embosses.

I added some more pretty flowers and polka dots to the inside. Love that Smooth White Cardstock.

Here is this week's sketch:

We encourage you all to play along, and to enter your card in the weekly draw for a $15 gift voucher to the MFT Boutique. Simply follow the sketch and create a card or other paper creation. You may use any stamps and supplies that you wish. Each week, a keyword is assigned to the sketch. All you need to do to enter, is upload your card to the gallery at SCS, and enter the given keyword in the keyword box, during the upload process. After the deadline, we randomly choose a winner from that week's entries and the winner will receive a $15 gift voucher. If the winning card uses MFT stamps, the participant will earn a $5 bonus, for a total of a $20 gift voucher!

Upload your creation to SCS using keyword MFTWSC120 for a chance to win this week's prize (see above). You have until noon Tuesday, April 23 to play along.

Stop by the MFT Blog for all the sketch details and to see what DT members are playing along.

MFT April Teaser Time

Have you been looking for or wondering where this month's MFT teasers were? We are changing things up a bit and are excited to say that the Teasers have begun. There is a little different format and I think you will like it. Head on over to the MFT Blog for more details.

While I am not in the line up for today. I do have a card to share and it uses ALL NEW, soon to be released MFT stamps and Die-namics

Every month I get excited to see what beautiful things Lisa Johnson will design. This month she is giving us roses. Her  newest stamp set is called SWEET ROSES and there is a matching Die-namics, ROSES AND LEAVES.
The layout is a fun one and so easy to build thanks to the next installment of the Blueprints Die-namics. We love blueprints!!! This is BLUEPRINTS 2 Die-namics. So all the pieces on this card are included in this die set. Card stock is MFT Banana, Sno Cone, and Smooth White.

I am getting a head start on my Mother's Day cards. I stamped two of the SWEET ROSES with Lemon Drop premium dye ink and then added the detail lines with the new HOT FUDGE PREMIUM DYE INK.  I am sooooo excited about this ink! It's amazing. I also added a few pretty leaves, stamped in Gumdrop Green ink
In the backdrop on that inner oval  I stamped a few more roses, but this time in Sno Cone ink.

I prettied up the solid side-view rose by adding some lovely Rock Candy Glitter.

I added some dimension to my card by popping up the oval frame, cut from SMOOTH WHITE cs. You can see that in the photo above.

Here you can see more details I added. I couldn't resist adding some polka dots. I went for a tone on tone look with Banana Split cs, and stamped the smallest Darling Dots in Lemon Drop  ink.  You can also see a few more details of the BLUEPRINTS 2 DIE-NAMICS.

To finish off my card I used the fishtail flags included with the BLUEPRINTS 2 set. I ♥♥♥ the stitched embossed details on these dies.  I stamped more backgrounds on these. A touch of houndstooth from Spring Background, and a few more polka dots.  A quick stitching around the border of my card.

Thanks for stopping by!

There is a BIG prize involved, so be sure to head over to the MFT Blog for all release details and to see what new sets the DT are using today.

Here is my Inlikz Shopping list.
Please note that any links with new product
will not be active until release night, April 9.
