Color Throwdown 591-Face the Sun

Hello everyone! Amy Rysavy is our host for this week's Color Throwdown challenge!  I love the ombre' look of those cris crossed straps! The colors for this week are to use Plum, Pink, Peach and WhiteRemember we just use generic colors (so any brand/type/whatever you have will work) and you can always feel free to add in neutrals (white/black/etc) to make your creation pop!

If you upload your creation to a public gallery, please use the keyword CTD591, and please use #CTD591 and #colorthrowdown on social media so we can find your gorgeous creations!  When linking up your creation using the linky tool below, please be sure to link your specific post, not a general link to your blog.  All of the "rules" are in the right sidebar, and you can always check there to be sure!

Oh my goodness! A simple stencil and a Life Changing blender brush and a trio of distress ink colors  and boom! this card was done. I am in love with this stencil from the April release by Picket Fence Studios, it's called Leaves and Flowers Stencil. I added color with Wilted Violet, Dried Marigold, Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide inks. This is the perfect way to make a stunning one layer card.

Some black ink and a great sentiment, this one is from Face the Sun, and a handful of white enamel dots finished off the card. I smiled when I removed the stencil. Magic, pure magic!

Check out the beautiful creations from the team this week! They are sure to inspire you, they always inspire me!! Have fun creating, we cannot wait to see what you come up with using these colors!

Color Throwdown 590-Happy Everything

Hello everyone! We are excited to have Wanda as our hostess this week and I hope you enjoy the new color palette of navy blue, yellow, kraft and green as much as I do!

All the rules are in the right sidebar, so check them out if you're unsure. No digital designs will be allowed - only digital images that are printed off and colored.

I started this with some white on white texture with the Large Eyelet Cover Panel Confetti Cuts. I pulled in some of the kraft color with RC's Sand designer paper from the Free Spirit  6x6 paper pad. I added a teeny accent of scallops in Sand with the Edge Essentials Confetti Cuts. I love this little detail.

I added in the blue and yellow challenge colors with the gorgeous Cotton & Thistles stamp set and matching dies. The sentiment is from the same set, I embossed in white on Navy card stock.

Check out the beautiful creations from the team this week! They are sure to inspire you, they always inspire me!! Have fun creating, we cannot wait to see what you come up with using these colors!

Color Throwdown 589- Hooray

Good Morning! Happy Wednesday!! Vickie is our hostess for this week's Color Throwdown Challenge #589! She thought it would be fun to do a neutral card with a "pop" of color!!!

This week we're playing with red, black, gray, and white

We are using generic colors, so as long as you use the color values shown, you are all set! As always, please feel free to incorporate any neutrals that you need in your design as well!

If you upload to a public gallery, please use the keyword CTD589, and please use #ctd589 and #colorthrowdown on social media sites. Also, when linking up your card using the linky tool at the bottom of the post, please link to your specific post, not a generic link to your blog. Totally digital designs will be removed from the link up.

So, I am trying to focus on the positive. I have a high school senior and I am sad about all he is missing out on during his final months of high school. Yesterday was a hard day for me as a reminder popped up on my phone to purchase prom tickets. I cried. There will be no prom. I know in the grand big picture, this is minute, but I can still grieve for these milestones he will not experience. As I sat down to create my card for this week's challenge, I was happy to see they are his school colors. So I put some positive energy and love into making a graduation card. I pulled out a handful of Reverse Confetti products (links are listed below).

I started with the Hooray & Cheers word die and cut it three times in Salsa and Midnight card stock. I adhered them all together, offsetting the black layer just a bit to create a shadow effect. I finished the greeting with a sentiment from Celebrations stamp set. I added some stars with the All the Stars Confetti Cuts and Stone card stock and framed it all up with a Stormy layer of All Framed Up Confetti Cut. I felt so much better after I spent this time in my craft room. It truly is some good therapy.

Picket Fence Studios April Release

Thank goodness for stamps and paper. They are saving my life right now. I am also so excited to share with you that it is time to celebrate the April Release from Picket Fence Studios. You can shop the NEW RELEASE here! But promise me you'll check out what the rest of the Design Team has created with these products. We have a lot to share.

My first one is a combo of sets. It was the first idea I had once my DT package arrived. The new jar from the Fireflies on a Warm Night stamp set is awesome. I love the whole set. It comes with sweet little fireflies and a great mix of sentiments and fonts....but I decided to tuck in the latest shell addition called Whelk Shell Scene. It fit perfectly in the jar.

I used the matching Fireflies on a Warm Night die to cut out the jar and then used my copics to color it up. I tied on a hemp twine bow and added a sentiment tag  to the top. Love it.

Check out the subtle background I created, too. It's a new stencil and I am obsessed!  It's called Flowers Stencil and I used some Gina K Amalgam ink in Warm Glow and a Life Changing Blender Brush to create the subtle background onto some Sand card stock. I love how it turned out.

Thanks for stopping by today. Have fun checking out all the creations with all the new release products from Picket Fence Studios. I'll be sharing more over on my Instagram, so stop by there too (@lisahenke). Have a great Tuesday.

Reverse Confetti April Creative Hop

I am so excited to be here with you today. It's April 8th and that means it's time for the Reverse Confetti Creative Hop. I can't wait to grab my cup of coffee and scroll through all the projects from the design team and friends.

Today I have a little rainbow inspo for you today. My wish is that it gives you hope, maybe makes you smile. It sure made me feel good creating it. I stated with the Over The Raibow Confetti Cut. I was inspired by a rainbow design on a baby outfit over on Insta. Sorry, I don't have the link but these were the colors and I was happy that RC had the perfect colors of ink to do some ink blending in : Magenta, Sunshine, Rust, and Sand. I set that aside to dry and then die cut all my other pieces.

The frame is from the latest release, it is my new fave. it's called Double Stitched Window Cover Panel. I cut it from Premium Polar White. Behind it I tucked a piece of pattern paper from the Fun Times paper pad. I then used a sentiment that seemed just fitting for our times from the Perfect Timing stamp set. I used the same ink colors from the rainbow to do a little ombre inking on the stamp. I love how it turned out.

I added the rainbow and clouds to the bottom of the window cut out and it just makes me smile. Here's the full card.

Join me! Check out the talented crew!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
I always appreciate your comments!

The April Stock you Stash challenge from Reverse Confetti is Moms, Dads, and Grads....last week I shared a dad card on the RC so this week I thought I would add a mom card to my stash. I LOVE the Tulips set and I colored up three of the flower bouquets and buckets in the challenge colors with my Zip Clean Color Brush markers.

I added strip of Sweet Stripes paper to ground my flower buckets and then topped them with the Mom & Dad Confetti Cut  in Rose card stock. I finished off the sentiment with a "with love" from the Tulips stamp set. (all affiliate links are listed below. They are provided FREE OF CHARGE if you choose to shop and help support my blog. I am forever grateful for you).
Hope you and yours is doing well and staying healthy. We are surviing here in Cinci and thankful it is Spring Break with beautiful Spring weather.

Color Throwdown 587-baby boy or girl

Hi, everyone! Lori is taking her turn as hostess for this week’s Color Throwdown challenge.  The colors from this week's inspiration photo are pink, gray, green, and kraftThe colors are generic and it's fine if you want to add in other neutrals along with the challenge colors.

Once you’ve finished your card or other paper crafting project using the colors, add a direct link to your creation using the linky tool at the bottom of the post.  And, don’t forget to use the keyword CTD587 if you upload your project to an online gallery. You can use the keywords #ctd587 and #colorthrowdown if you upload to any social media sites (yes, we're on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter!).  All of the challenge "rules" are in the right sidebar in case you have any questions.  One last detail to remember, no digital designs.  Only digital images that are printed off and colored will be allowed.  Totally digital designs will be removed from the link up.

How sweet is this baby image? I just love it and I am so happy I have a handful of baby cards to make. It's called Sleeping Baby and it was part of the March release from PFS.  I created two today for the Color Throwdown challenge. I made a girl and boy baby card and started the card with a stenciled background with the Random Dots stencil and some distress oxides inks.

I cut out the babe with the Sleeping Baby die and stamped the sentiment in stormy ink along the bottom of each card.

Each of the cards are the same except I played up the pink and green colors for the blanket.

Check out the beautiful creations from the team this week! They are sure to inspire you, they always inspire me!! Have fun creating, we cannot wait to see what you come up with using these colors!
