Sweet Sunday Sketch 207 {hello}

I've got TWO posts coming today. This is my first one. It's Sunday.....time for the next Sweet Sunday Sketch! I used some Lawn Fawn stamps for my card today. Gosh, I love this deer!

I started out with some Grout Grey cs and cut out those fabulous stitched diagonals with the Stitches & Stripes cover up die by Lil' Inker Designs (all links below). I added LOTS of dimensionals and popped it up on top of some Sno Cone cardstock. I used a strip of gold sequins along the bottom, following the sketch.

In place of the rectangle in the sketch, I actually used the deer as my focal point. I colored him up with Copics and cut him out. I  then stamped the "hello" speech bubble in some Gold encore ink and cut that out. I tried to get a detail shot of how pretty it is in real life.

I added some sequins for a simple embellishement. I really love how you can use a few, simple products to create a lot of detail on a card like this.

Here is this week's sketch.

Stop by Karen's Blog for all three challenge details.

 Don't forget to see what the Sweet Sunday Sketch team has done this week.
Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you have a fabulous Sunday and a great start to your week.

Deconstructing Sketch-two of them

Let's start the week off with a little Deconstructing Sketches. I made two cards the other day and used a few of Jen's layouts along with my Lil' Inker Dies and stamps. I told you last week, I LOVE those Stitched Mats- Circles!!!

First up is the current sketch (DS112). I kept it really clean and simple and let the layers of papers really do the work here. I used a bunch of neutrals and added a pop of color with the Gumdrop Green button.

I used the Flags and Tags stamp set and matching die to cut out that fun shape. I also added the Wish Big sentiment stamped in Steel Blue ink. I hit all the edges of my cardstock and designer paper (all from Studio Calico) with some Antique Linen distress ink.

Next up is another card using most of the same products. I used DS110 for this one. It's been in my head since the challenge was posted and I'm just now getting to it.

I pulled out some scrap papers and got busy cutting those sweet Stitched Circles out. I stamped the sentiment in Berrylicious ink (Loooooove how it looks on Kraft cs). I also added a touch of pretty with  a tiny Mini Rolled rose and a twiney bow.

This card was also inspired by one the Dare To Get Dirty Challenges. Today is the last day to get your  cards uploaded. Have you played along?? Check out the details HERE

Birthday Wishes

I used some birthday money to pick up one of the new Lil' Inkers stamp and die sets.  I just ADORE the giant Flag die included in the set, Flags and Tags (sorry...looks like it's currently sold out-keep checking back for restock). That's really why I got the set, but then I decided I loved the curly label and polka dots, and plaids,  and of course the other fishtail banner die is great, too!

Some pretty My Mind's Eye paper and a Sweet Sunday Sketch bring this card to life. I decided to add a cardboard butterfly cut with the MFT Butterflies Die-namics.  Some twine and a button finish it off.

Thanks for stopping by!
