MFT Shop and HOP blog hop!

Woohooo! the My Favorite Things September release is now available. If you haven't shopped yet, great....we've got another great line up of more samples to tease you with. Hop first, then shop (or shop first, then hop....but I warn you, you may end up shopping again *wink*wink*)!

Check out the  Brand Spankin' New section to see all that's being released tonight!

Okay....so let's continue this party! If you are just getting started, please be sure to hop back to the start of our blog hop. It all begins at Kim's Blog.  Also, don't forget to leave comments along the way....you might end up winning the secret blog candy. It's hidden along the way!

Tonight I'm sooo excited to share a bit more with you about Homespun Birdhouse stamp set and die-namicsI told you during teaser day how much I adore this set.  I just LOVE all the componants of the dies and the sweet, little stams in the set.

I used the new Birdhouse die-namic and added a mini Pennants to the outside, accented with a heart from the  same set, a button and seam binding ribbon with some blossom twine. It all sits snug behind the new Woodgrain Fence die-namic and a row of fresh cut grass. A few clouds in the sky, finish the scene!
On the inside I used some of the same sweet paper (MME, Lost and Found II) a heart from hearts a plenty and the new ticket tab die-namic. The sentiment from the Homespun Birdhouse set completes the card.
Here's another card I did with this cool new set. I just had to show off one of the birdies one more time

.
I love cutting them with felt....cuts like buttah! I used Karen's Sweet Sunday sketch for this one and turned it into a birthday card. Isn't the mini pennant a cute touch?!
I turned the pole into woodgrain with the wooden post stamp from the set. I thought itw as a nice touch to make it coordinate with the woodgrain fence.  The twine is the new Denim color Kim just added to the boutique.
Here's another look at the new fabulous die-namics now available!

I'm sending you on your way.....Joanne is next! EEEEK! I can't wait to see what she has created for us all. Happy Hopping and Shopping!

MFT Hop & Shop...

Welcome back!  It's 10pm EST and that means you can hop and shop to your hearts content.  This was another fantastic release by My Favorite Things.  What's your FAVE from this release??? Yeah, I know.... hard to narrow it down. Tonight is another chance to look at all the beautiful new product in action.  If you are just getting started, hop on back to Kim's blog.....she's kicking the night off with all the details.

I saved a few goodies for this blog hop.  I am IN. LOVE. with the new Tag You're It set and matching die-namic.

I've been waiting......hoping, praying for a tag die by MFT and boy did Kim deliver! Wow! the stamp set is beautiful and fun, and has so many options for designing custom tags.

First up from me is this tag and card duo to show off my homemade strawberry jam.  My family gobbles this stuff up all year long and I love to share it with close friends and neighbors.  It's just the perfect little something to something to gift anyone.
See how it looks like I stitched around the tag? I didn't have to......there's this perfect dotted outline stamp that fits the tag perfectly. Quick, easy, and a great accent to any tag you create.  You'll also see I did up the sentiment on the Bracket Tab.
I made a matching card, kept it CAS and used many of the same elements that I used on the tag.  Instead of the bracket tab, I used the solid bracket border die-namic to bring in that same shape.....serioulsy LOVE that about the MFT product.

I really had a hard time NOT using this tag on everything I created this month. It is so fun to work on this smaller canvas and it really makes a great accent on any card. Here I used the tag die-namic and a few of the Tag You're It stamp set elements (butterfly and tag border) but I paired it up with a sentiment from the Triple Scoop set, All Smiles (it's an amazing sentiment set.....and you can get it for FREE this month. Read the details HERE). Papers are cosmo cricket and you'll see a bit of the  Simply Scallops on the card, too.

Here's another card I did with the new à la mode Bundle of Baby and the Tag die-namic. See how the tag die looks great as a backdrop for any stamp image. It's such a fun size to work with.
Here's a look at some more of what you can do with this fabulous tag die-namic and stamp set.  You'll love it.
Off you go. The oh-so-talented Kerry is up next! I'll race you there.

MFT July Shop & Hop.....

Welcome back! What a fun release or what! The DT is here to show you another great round of fabulousness from this release.  You want to make sure you start at the beginnning of the hop at Kim's Blog, so you don't miss any of the inspiration! Plus, there is secret blog candy hidden along the hop...leave a comment at each DT member's blog so you have a chance to win.

Haven't shopped yet....check out the full Brand Spankin' New section for all the new release goodies!

Today I get to share a card I made with the Clearly Sentimental  set about The Journey! Great fonts, great quotes and great words of wisdom. Love having these CS sets in my stamping arsinal!

And this quote has always been one of my faves! I added a solid bracket edge to the text layer of paper (bo bunny papers, btw!) and used the text stamp from Own Your Story to add some dimension (I clear embossed it) to the yellow frame from You Move Me. I used sweet Tooth and bannana split cardstock and some brown collection ribbon.  It's all finished off with a white glittered Large Rose!  I love how it looks like sugar.

I also saved another card I made with the CS about Sympathy set. When making sympathy cards, I often will reach for a monochromatic color scheme.  Here I used the grapesicle cardstock to match the pretty hand dyed seam binding ribbon I was excited to use. I paired the sentiment with the beautiful tree from the Inspired by Summer set and added a few butterflies, just small ones from the Notched Tag die-namic set. You'll also find a little solid bracket border tucked under the polka dot dp and a fossil strip of the scallop ribbon die, under the ribbon. The sentiment is hard to read from the photo, but it's perfect...."for some moments in life there are no words".

This one is finshed on the inside, too, with a strip of the solid bracket, the file tab, and a larger butterfly from the Butterfly trio die-namic. Soft, subtle and sure to easy a weary heart.
Thanks for hanging with me all week. I'll have my WSC card up in a bit....but before that, finish this hop!

Eva is up next! I'll meet you there!

MFT Hop & Shop Blog hop....April

We made it! It's finally release night and you can fill your cart (or wait for your ship notice if you've already placed your order!!!) with all the new release goodies! So what was your fave? I know, hard to pick just one....so feel free to tell me a few.
It's time for our DT Hop & Shop Blog Hop. Hopefully you just arrived from the talents of Arlene.  If not, you'll want to visit Kim's Blog to get the hop started so you don't miss any of the fabulous details.

Tonight I get to show off the new flapper doodle set with you.  It's called Hold Me Tight and it's the sweetest mother daughter set. There are some great sentiments included and the extra little hearts you can stamp where ever you want....yeah, pretty sweet!

I was still feeling a bit of the shabby chic from this month's challenge when I made this. Something about these papers....I just adore this sentiment.

I paired it up with one of my favorite die-namics from this release.  That's hard to say, cuz you know I love my die-namics.  This one is a circle and it's has great open scallops all around it. It's large and just pefect!  See it tucked in the background in yellow???

I'm sending you on your way. Thanks for all your wonderful, kind words this release. They really do make me smile and sure feel good. It's been another fabulous release, hope you thought so, too.

I'll race you to the talented Jodi! I'm dying to see what she's done.

See you back here in a bit with my WSC card.  I used another new set, one of the cute PI's I told you I was saving up.

MFT Shop & Hop! Feb. Release is UP!

Welcome back.  I'm so glad you are back for more fun with the MFT DT.  Hopefully you just arrived from the wonderful Boss Lady, Kim!  She's got all the info about tonight's release and we don't want you to miss out on anything. Hop along and be sure to leave comments as you go....there's secret BLOG CANDY out there somewhere!

Tonight I've saved a super special project of mine using the My How've Grown set (and the Clearly Sentimental about Parenting....the two go great together, so spend enough so you can earn it FREE!).

It's been a pretty emotional week for me.  It's one of those bittersweet moments in life when one stage ends and another one begins.  This set couldn't have come at a more perfect time.

My baby (literally, my baby...he's our last child, the baby of my three boys) is turning 4 next week.  We share the same birthday, isn't that cool????! His room is what has always been the nursery.  Nine and a half years ago, we decorated the nursery in preparation for our first child.  Each boy had moved out to make room for the next baby and they each got their BIG BOY room.  Well, little man got a big boy bed, but no big boy room.  I figured with him turning 4, he was DUE!  So this past week I've been slowing tearing down the wall paper border, taking down the baby quilts and emptying out the baby drawers.  This weekend was the last of the baby stuff to go.  I admit, I was a bit of a blubbering mess at times as I packed a few cherished things away.  The rest is being donated.
So....to make me feel better, I decided to make myself a sweet little mini album. I cut some jumbo tags (they are about 3.5 x 4.5 inches) with my Silhouette and got busy with LOTS of MFT die-namics and the My How've Grown and CS about Parenting stamp sets.  I did a tag with a picture of each boy at about the same age, only days old. Gosh, time sure flies.
 J-
R-
 and N-
and then I couldn't resist this sweet quote.  The boys always give me a hard time when I tell them they'll always be my babies. They just don't get it!

I ended the album with the most recent picture of all three together at ages-8,6, and 3 from this past Christmas.

Using the same designer paper (I used Echo Park's Little Boy dp here) throughout really helps pull an album together quickly. I made sure to use a few of the new die-namic, Flat Bottom Clouds
 and the Simply Scallops border

here are the rest of the MFT goodies I used:
star border die-namic
stacking stars die-namic
Hearts a Plenty die-namic
Button Quartet die-namic
framed greetings die-namic
fossil cs
MFT Twill

I also have a sweet little PI card that I didn't get to share during Teasers.  I combined two of the new sets-Out on a Limb and You're Tweet! I really like that the two sets look great together, so make sure you pick them both up! There is more of the Simply Scallops on this one....told you I LOVE this die-namic!

Off you go. There is ALOT more to see. The wonderful talents of Cindy are up next!

MFT Dec. Shop & Hop!

Woohooo! Time to order, time to order!!! Or did you already??? Either way, I know you won't have a hard time filling up your cart-too many fabulous new finds! Click here for all the Brand Spankin' New!
Hopefully you just arrived here from Joy's blog, if not, then hop all the way back to the beginning to Kim's blog so you don't miss any of the exciting projects. Before I get into my project, I wanted to give out one more shout out to our fabulous Dec. Temp Team! They ooo'd and ahhh'd me all week long! Lots and lots of talent. Thanks for all your hard work.
I'm sure excited to share this fun project with you. It's no surpise that I am showcasing the new Textile Rectangle Die and stamp set! I looooove each and every framed die & stamp duo AND this one is no different. It's a little bit bigger than the others, and looks great with lots of the other die-namics in the MFT boutique. You can purchase it tonight HERE!
It was the perfect size to make these super sweet holiday ornaments for my tree. Is it bad that I was going to make these for my MIL, and then decided to keep them for myself? lol! If time allows, I'm hoping to make her a set too. Here's what I did to get started. I'm proud of myself for being a little bit green, by recycling an empty cereal box (although, it would have made it to the recylce bin anyway). I wanted a thinner chipboard to work with, so this box was perfect. I used the Textile Rectangle die-namics die to cut out 3 frames, and then used some of my beloved Girl's Paperie, Tinsel & Twigg, to cut and cover the chipboard with. I used the negative of the die cut chipboard to see if the frame would fit my pictures, and it did, so I positioned the die over each pciture and ran that through the big shot.
Once I had all my frames cut:
3 chipboard ones
6 designer paper/cs pieces
and 1 of each of the 3 photos
I was able to assemble them.

I stuck to the same general design for each ornament, changing up the die-namics, paper, and sentiment. So they all coordinate, without being matchy-matchy.
Here's the front:
and here's the backside of them
Here's all the MFT product I used to create these:
mini Banner Day alpha (comes with the mini banner die)
I've also got one last card using the same set....seriously, so many uses for this set. You're gonna love it. And if you get this set and don't have the sunshine die-namics yet....pop that in your cart, too. It's great with this sentiment. I used MFT fossil cs for my base and see how great the Textile Rectangle die looks with the Perfect Bracket edge, it's there along the bottom of my orange designer paper. A perfect match!
Alright, I've kept you here long enough. Hop along to another Dec. Temp Team member, Gabbe! She's going to WOW! you, for sure.

There is a secret blog with the prize, but no one knows who it is.

Tonight I'm sharing a wintery layout with the oh-so-cute new Wyatt set-Just Chillin'! I used one of the setiments from the set and turned it into my title! Two new die-namics are also here-the mini banner & alphabet duo

AND the doily die.

Then how could I NOT add some snowflakes to the page.

Topped them off with some glittered garnishes.

and just because I had this done up and I think it is sooo, so cute. I am also showing you the new digi downloadalbe template-Poppin' Petal Treat Trio!

This was so fun to create. I added the sweet new Emma, images from You Spin Me additions and more snowflakes! I used a repostionable glue dot to add my snowflakes to the top of the boxes so you can easily open the box without distroying it. Ribbon is from the Birthday Blast collection and the lable is was the Polka Dot Greetings die-namics and stamp duo.

Thanks for all your sweet, sweet comments this week. I always have so much fun during release week and really appreciate you stopping by. I'll send you on your way.

Michele is up next! I know she'll have something FAB for you. Enjoy the rest of the hop!
