CAS(E) this Sketch {hello sunshine}

Some days you just need to start a crafty session (or end one, as in this case for me) with a super easy and quick card. If you have the right products, and a great sketch sometimes this happens like magic.

I played along with the CAS(e) this Sketch Challenge 115, used the recently released Spring Fling Quick card panels and this card came together so speedy fast! It's a good thing because my oldest was getting ready to walk through the door from school. Have you tried the Quick Card Panels from Reverse Confetti, yet? If not, what are you waiting for??

I lined the quick card panel with some Tropical Teal card stock and then used the Sun 'n Clouds Confetti cuts to accent the top left corner of the panel like the sketch called for. The sentiment was already on the panel, so no stamping even needed! Love that! I added some bling with a scattering of sequins from Pretty Pink Posh. Bam! Done!

I'm sending out some cards this week. This one is going to a neighbor. I sure hope it brightens her day. Have you sent out any handmade cards lately? I am trying to be much better about this. It's one of the reasons I love this hobby. I can help put a smile on someone's face with some happy mail! Join me and be more intentional about sending cards.

Here is the challenge I'm linking up to.

And here is a close look at the RC products I used today.

Hope your Monday has been wonderful!

Spring Fever with Catered Crop

Oh Happy Day! yep....that will be what I'm screaming from the roof tops once Spring DECIDES to stick around. Tomorrow is the first official day of Spring, afterall.

 I made a card in bright, fun colors using this week's Retro Sketch and the Spring Fever Challenge with the Catered Crop Recipe Swap.

I used my Lil' Inker Design dies and the Lawn Fawn stamp set, Hello Sunshine. I stamped the sentiment with Versamark ink and then embossed it with some Lime Green embossing powder on to a vellum strip. I added some Pretty Pink Posh sequins, some twine and that awesome stitched sun. Ahhhhhhh, someday soon, Spring will be here. I just know it.

Check out Linda's inspiration photo collage.....just in case you needed some additional inspiration.

and Here's what you'll need to know about the challenge. It's easy.

Sweet Sunday Sketch 211 {hello Sunshine}

Hello sunshine and hello Sunday. I'm happy to be bringing you my sample for this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch.. I put my Lawn Fawn goodies to work today. These Let's Polka papers are addicting. The simple, fun patterns in the happy, bring colors are sure to brighten up any project.

I couldn't help myself with the sentiment. I'm doing all I can to wish Spring along. Come on warm weather and sunshine. The little birdie is talking to the sun, coaxing it along.

 I added a few fun flowery sequins from a fall pack of Lawn Fawn sequins. The sun is one of my newest Lil' inker Design dies. Those stitch marks just make me happy! I finished it all off with a trio of pieced hearts and some sweet bakers twine.

Here's this week's sketch.

Stop by Karen's Blog for all three challenge details.

 Don't forget to see what the Sweet Sunday Sketch team has done this week.

Farewell to MFT

Good byes are never easy. If you stopped by the My Favorite Things blog yesterday then you probably have already read the news. Sadly, my time with MFT has come to an end. I won't bore you with a bunch of details, but I will let you know that all is good.

I have nothing but great memories and know that I am so blessed to have had the opportunity to work with such an amazing group of talented women.  I love MFT and Kim and Jody are two of the most generous people I know.  So thank-you MFT for a great three years.

You'll continue to see me use  MFT product, just not along side the DT.  I am still designing for Unity Stamp Co. and I might just have another fun adventure in the works for the near future!! :) I'm in a happy place, and am looking forward to some crafty freedom!!

You may think all of this is why I have not been posting much over the past few days. Nope!!

 We have been on vacation. I got to spend a fantastic week at Disney World with my family. I had all of my posts scheduled and am now just getting back into the swing of things after finishing up the mountain of Laundry.

I will leave you with something crafty. I was prepared for the Release Rewind this month from MFT. I won't be linked on the blog anymore, but I can still show you how great the new products are.
I LOOOOVE the Sun Ray Die-namcis. I think it's great that you can get two different looks with this die, a positive and negative. Here I used the negative (or cut out pieces from the die) to create this CAS card.

I cut it twice, once in Banana Split and again in Orange Fizz cs. I used Lemon Drop ink to stamp the polka dots with Darling Dots.

I filled in the center with some sequins. Ahhhh, the right amount of sparkle.

I cut the cloud from some Smooth White cs and the Jumbo Stax Die-namics. I used a sentiment from the Doodle Garden- Aloha stamp set. It's stamped in Orange Fizz ink.  A few more sequins, this time in white finished off this card.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you'll continue to visit. I sure do appreciate all your kind words and support.
