Sweet Sunday Sketch no.244 (Sweetest Christmas}

 Super excited to have another card with another great Sweet Sunday Sketch from Karen. I was thrilled to see a tilted panel. I wanted to use the new Clearly Whimsy stamps that I got last week when I had the privileged to Guest Design with them for their Christmas Release.

I used the new Ginger Bread People stamp set.

 I love that sentiment and I colored up a few candy canes and sugared them up with some Rock Candy Distress glitter. The scripty word is the new Christmas Large Word Die. It's sooooo pretty!

Here is this week's sketch.

Come Play along: simply make a card with this layout and use the InLinkz button down at the very end of Karen's post to enter your card. The links will close on Friday at 10 PM (Mountain Time). Be sure to link directly to the blog post or gallery image which features your card. You may post a picture of the sketch on your blog, but please save the image to your computer first. Use the keyword SSSC244 if you plan to post your card in an online gallery.

Clearly Whimsy NEW Release {day 3}

It's the final day for the New Release Hop with Clearly Whimsy Stamps! I am so happy to be joining the team again today for a peek at ALL the new products NOW available in the store. Today I have a sweet card showing the adorable Gingerbread People Stamp set and Christmas Word Die.

You should have arrived from the talented Jen Carter's Blog. I hope you have been leaving comments along the way for a chance at a PRIZE!

Gingerbread boys and girls make me smile. This new stamp set, Gingerbread People is a fun stamp set that will surely add holiday cheer to any project you  make this season. I used the boy from the set and selectively stamped the sentiment in red ink, leaving off the bottom words. I wanted to be sure to use the gorgeous new Christmas Word Die on my card today.

Here's a details shot of the main image panel. I just love that scripty word. I gave it a slight curve, it's thin enough to do this giving the word a bit of movement.

Here is a detail shot of the sugared up gingerbread boy. I stamped him on kraft card stock, added some shading with my Copic markers and then gave him a sugar coating with some chunky glitter! Such a sweet touch!

Now Head on over to my good friend Becky Carafa!

Thanks so much for hanging with me during this Clearly Whimsy Release. I hope you had fun! I know I did. Thanks to Denise and the whole Clearly Whimsy Team for allowing me to design along side of them this release. Happy Shopping!

Clearly Whimsy NEW Release {day 2}

I know, I know.....it's Halloween but you know life moves fast in the crafty world. So I have a festive holiday card today showing off new stamps and dies from Clearly Whimsy. You can get the Scandi Christmas Stamps set and Christmas Word die NOW!  You should have arrived from Alanna Moses's Blog. Leave comments along the way for a chance at a PRIZE!

I started with a kraft circle and stamped the pretty snowflake border from Scandi Christmas along the bottom in Sweet Tooth pigment ink. I then cut the Christmas Word Die 3 times and layered it up to give it some good stability and dimension. Love doing that with word dies.

I then stamped the cute reindeer image on top of the scripty Christmas and tucked in  the word "merry"  to finish off the sentiment in Electric Red ink. I finished it off with a trio of white enamel dots.

 Here's a detail shot.

Be sure to hop on over to Sylvia Blom's blog......she's up next with more Clearly Whimsy inspiration with the new release!

Here is another sample for the current challenge. I used the awesome Hello word die and the coordinating stamp set, Happy Hello.

Here is a close up of the sentiment. I cut the word three times and glued the layers together. I stamped the word "gorgeous" in Tangerine Fresh ink and then added some pretty stars included in the stamp set. I played up the colors from the inspiration photo.
