Picket Fence Studios/ January Release

It's here, it's here! The January Release from Picket Fence Studios is here. We pushed it back a few days to celebrate the Creativation Weekend! This release is HUGE and fantastic and I just know you will Love it all! You can find all the New Release stamps and dies HERE

I couldn't decide which to start off with, so let's just jump in with this beauty! Oh, my! I am in love with the Wild Heart....Gypsy Soul stamp set. It's is a stunning mix of floral and feathers and the sentiments are beautiful. I love the one I picked to use today.

I was going to leave this an all black and white image, with the strip of silver glitter paper strip along the right side AND then I got some new Distress Oxide ink colors. I had stamped the image with the Intense Black Hybrid ink, so I was able to water color with it, no problem. I used Picked Raspberry, Wild Honey, Festive Berries, and Candied Apple inks and a water color brush to quickly add color to this image. It was quick and pretty and I was happy with it. I stamped the sentiment in the same ink and then added some ink splatters in the same Distress Oxide colors. Here's a close up.

This next card was actually the first card I created for this Creativation Release. I LOVED the background pattern with all these bottles and I love how easy it is to repeat the pattern if you need to. I stamped Good Times in Intense Black ink and then colored up all the bottles in greens, golds, and dark Merlot colors.

I added a sentiment from the Ways to say Let's Drink stamp set in Intense Black ink and accented with a strip of gold glitter paper. Simple and sparkly, just the way I like it. I love this sentiment set and with the multiple images and dies available in this release, I can see lots of fun and even snarky cards being made.

My final card for today with the new release products is the gorgeous Boho Zebra stamp set. I just had to rainbow this image up! lol.

Black and White is just a great way to show off any ROYGBIV coloring with Copic markers. I love that there is a Boho Zebra die for easy and precise cutting.   I did some ink smooshing in the background and masked off part of the sentiment to complete the card front. I love how the stitched circle frames up the diva Zebra

There is a lot more releasing today. Like, A LOT, LOT more!!! So be sure to check out what the rest of the team has created.  You'll find all the details on the Picket Fence Studios Blog.

Happy Shopping. I can't wait to see what you all order.

Color Throwdown 526/ One of a Kind

Hello Color Throwdown Friends. It's Lisa Henke here today as your color hostess.  We are on Color Throwdown #526! I hope you love the wintry colors I picked for this week's challenge-Blue, Aqua, and White! It's been freezing for me in the midwest, so I figured we could embrace the cold with some pretty snowflakes.

If you upload your creation to a public gallery, please use the key words CTD526, and please use #ctd526 and #colorthrowdown on social media sites.  Also, when linking up your card using the linky tool at the bottom of the post, please use a direct link to your specific post, not a generic link to your blog.  All of the rules are in the right sidebar, so check them out if you're unsure.  And no digital designs will be allowed - only digital images that are printed off and colored.

I kept my card super simple this week. I used only Premium Polar White card stock and two ink colors. I am still loving the Snowflake Magic stamp set, and I used the smallest flakes from the set to create the focal point.

I mounted the completed snowflake onto a Kindness Card Confetti Cut that was first cut with the Diagonal Stitched Stripes Confetti cut.  This new cover plate was just released and it's sooooo cool! I just can't get over the detail. I added a strip of white glitter paper and a scattering of sequins to complete the card.

Now here is some great inspiration from the talented design team.  We can't wait to see what you create!

I'd also like to welcome our January Guest Designer,
Vicki Finger

Ok. so on to my cards. I am so tickled with this first one. I used the Quilted Stitched All Hearts cover die to add the gorgeous pattern to my background.  It was beautiful as is, but I stepped it up a notch by adding some ink smooshing. It is one of my favorite techniques to do with cover plates.

I then die cut one of the awesome new scripty word dies just released. This one is called With Love. I cut it three times and glued them together to add dimension.

I added it to the center of my card base and finished it of with a scattering of sequins in the same colors of distress inks I used.

My final card for this release hop. I used the Quilted Stitched All Hearts. and kept it all white.....BUT....that heart. If it looks familiar, that's because it is. Remember my shaker card from yesterday, and the heart window....this is the left over piece from the Radiating Love Heart Die. I was excited to use it. I then used the Sending My Love word die to finish off an easy, and striking card.

Lil' Inker Designs January Release/ Day 2

Welcome back,  It's Day 2 of the January RELEASE  Lil' Inker Designs and there are some fun and fabulous stamps and dies just for you! There is a lot to love with this release!

Let's kick off today with a little shaker card and I made it round!! eeeeep! I'm was so excited to show you this one. I started with some ink smooshing onto some watercolor paper. I let that dry and and then inked up the sweet little Perfect Pairs 2 pickle and ice cream duo.

Let's just say, these are two favorites in our house. My boys love pickles and eat lots and lots of ice cream, not together, but still....this image is too adorable and I had to use them. The coordinating Perfect Pairs 2 dies make it so easy to cut them out.

I then went back to my ink smooshed panel and cut it with the Dual Stitched Mats-Circle  and then used the new Radiating Love Heart Die. I added a layer of clear acetate, foam dimensionals, and sequins to create a shaker card. The sentiment is from Perfect Pairs 2. Laura also created a Perfect Pairs Additions set that can be used with the original Perfect Pairs or the new Perfect Pairs 2

Up next is the adorable Bear Hugger Stamp & Die Combo. I made him into a panda! I love his large arms and I can add a candy if I want to at a later time, if I choose to. It's a quick and easy way to add cuteness to any card or gifty.

I used one of the Stitched Mats-Rounded Rectangle and added some ink blending to the background. Here is a close up of the details.

Lil' Inker Designs January Release/ Day 1

It's an exciting day around here. It's RELEASE Day for Lil' Inker Designs and there are some fun and fabulous stamps and dies just for you! There is a lot to love with this release!

I have two cards to share today and they were really easy to create. I actually stamped and die cut once to make both of these cards. I love that....maximizing my crafty time it really important.  I started with the awesome Perfect Palette Heart Die. I then got busy stamping all the die cut hearts with the Heartthrob Stamps

I decided to only use a handful of the hearts and filled them into the open slots of the Perfect Palette Heart Die and leaving a few of them empty to let the white card base show threw. I used some foam dimensionals to pop up the heart panel. I kept the sentiment simple and stamped a greeting from Heartthrob right in the center.

I used the left over stamped hearts from the Perfect Panel Hearts die to take center stage on my next card. I started with a Silly Stitched Square and then stamped an assortment of the Heartthrob greetings to make some conversation hearts.

I added them to the center of the panel and finished the card off with one more greeting from Heartthrob stamp set below the line up of hearts. I love how it all pops against the white.

Here is the blop hop line up for today.
