Color Throwdown 462-Sharing in Sorrow

Hi, everyone! It's time for a new challenge! Barbara is here with our colors for this week's Color Throwdown. Remember, we're using generic colors, so as long as you use the color values shown: rust, green, orange, and aqua, you'll be good...the color police won't come after you--this is all about having fun! And, feel free to incorporate any other neutrals you need in your design, as well.

If you upload to a public gallery, please use the key words CTD462, and please use #ctd462 and #colorthrowdown on social media sites. Also, when linking up your card using the linky tool at the bottom of the post, please link to your specific post, not a generic link to your blog--all of the "rules" are in the right sidebar, so check 'em out to be sure. Importantly, though, no digital designs--only digital images that are printed off and colored will be allowed. Totally digital designs will be removed from the link up.
For more inspiration, check out the other design team members' creations below, and get inky! We can't wait to see what you come up with this week.

Sadly, I had to create a sympathy card for a dear friend who lost her FIL this past week. I used the Banner in Bloom stamp set to create  the pretty fall color blooms. I colored them up with copics. I used the Banner in Bloom Confetti Cuts to cut them out and mounted them around the sentiment  with some foam dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment in Midnight ink and tied on some natural linen twine. The background was created with Distress inks and some ink smooshing. I mounted the finished panel onto an Iced Aqua card base.

Check out what the team has created this week using these colors! We cannot wait see what you create!

Colorthrowdown 461-Spooky

Welcome to another week of beautiful colors. Check out that inspiration photo! Wow! I love the fall colors. Amy is our hostess this week and the colors are: purple, orange, yellow, green. The colors are generic and it's fine if you want to add in other neutrals along with the challenge colors.

Once you’ve finished your card or other paper crafting project using the colors, add a direct link to your creation using the linky tool at the bottom of the post.  And, don’t forget to use the keyword CTD461 if you upload your project to an online gallery. You can use the keywords #ctd461 and #colorthrowdown if you upload to any social media sites (yes, we're on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter!).  All of the challenge "rules" are in the right sidebar in case you have any questions.  One last detail to remember, no digital designs.  Only digital images that are printed off and colored will be allowed.  Totally digital designs will be removed from the link up.

I used a mix of Reverse Confetti stamps today from the latest release. I just love these little monsters, the stamp set is called Monsterous. I was inspired by Amy Sheffer and her Wednesday in the Works post on the RC blog and copic ink blending. I loved making this little dude two-toned. The layout was inspired by a card I saw the other day by Joy. I cut out the monster with the Monsterous Confetti Cuts

I created a sweet little scene with the stitched grass from the Nuts About You Confetti Cuts. I cut it from Lime and Avocado card stock. I used the Boo To You Circle Confetti Cuts  to create a moon. I cut it from Sunshine card stock and then sponged on some Tangerine ink. I stamped the Haunt It sentiment in Midnight ink. I love how this turned out. Googlie eyes and some striped twine finished it off.

Check out what the team has created this week using these colors! We cannot wait see what you create!

Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop with Lil' Inker Designs

It's that time again and I'm super excited I was able to squeeze in a card with some of the yummy new Lil' Inker Designs products for the Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop. LID is one of the sponsors for this blog hop, again. Yay!

I actually have had this card made for a few days, but I finally got around to photographing and blogging it. I love a great cranberry/wine color for fall, toss in some dark teal and kraft and swooon! Some of my favorites.

Here is the full picture of my card. I used kraft card stock and the amazing Stitched Quatrefoil cover  up. I colored up one of the pretty floral banners from Blossoms & Banners stamp set. I added a sentiment from Snarky Shadow Thanks inside the banner. I finished off the sentiment with my favorite new way to say thanks and the Snarky Shadow Thanks stamp. I tied in the coffee theme with the great Coffee Cozy die, it's a must have!

You still have some time to join in on the fun. The blog hop runs until the 22nd.
Thank for stopping by today!

I then cut a pretty pinking stitched circle frame using the Fa La La Circle Confetti Cut and some Sand card stock. I then got busy coloring up the sweet little squirrel and scene bits from Nuts About You and then cut them out with the Nuts About You Confetti Cuts

I finished it off with a bit of twine and a white embossed sentiment from Nuts About You

Here is the sketch.

Lil' Inker Desings September Release Day 3

Welcome, welcome! So excited you are joining us for the September release from Lil' Inker Designs. I had so much fun playing around with all the gorgeous new stamps and dies, we are gearing up for Halloween and fall and a time to be thankful. I just know you will love what we have to share. We are on our final day of the release sneak peeks. If you missed the last two days, go ahead and check out what the design team created. It's inspiring!

I have another fun Halloween card with the cool Ghost Shaker dies. So you can use them to make shaker cards, ghost windows, and even fun stitched ghosts like I did on this card.

I added the fun eyelash detail and sassy sentiment from FAbooLous!!! It's sooooo fun. I added some Dip Dyed Ombre  paper and cut it out with the Silly Stitched Square die. I added some striped paper and a bit of vellum to give a little translucent feel to the card. A scattering of sequins and a little orange twine finished it off.

I just had to use the gorgeous Quilted Stitched Harlequin die again. I love how I cut it from white and it gives a bit of grey undertone to it. The detail is amazing. I cut a Stitched Mats-Rounded Rectangle from a light grey card stock. I added a trio of the wheat-like images from Thankful Thoughts in fall colors, and then cut them out with the  matching Thankful Thoughts dies

I am so excited to use this new Snarky Shadow Thanks. It's amazing and so fun and the snarky sentiments are just the best!

Soooo, you have a chance to WIN the ENTIRE August Release!!
Just leave comments on the Design Team Blogs each day.

Color Throwdown #460-Kindness

Hi, everyone!  It’s Wanda's turn as hostess for this week’s Color Throwdown challenge.  The colors from this week's inspiration photo are navy, green and white.  The colors are generic and it's fine if you want to add in other neutrals along with the challenge colors.

Once you’ve finished your card or other paper crafting project using the colors, add a direct link to your creation using the linky tool at the bottom of the post.  And, don’t forget to use the keyword CTD460 if you upload your project to an online gallery. You can use the keywords #ctd460 and #colorthrowdown if you upload to any social media sites (yes, we're on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter!).  All of the challenge "rules" are in the right sidebar in case you have any questions.  One last detail to remember, no digital designs.  Only digital images that are printed off and colored will be allowed.  Totally digital designs will be removed from the link up.

I used a mix of Reverse Confetti stamps today. I just adore the newly released Fall For You stamp set.  I embossed the wreath in white embossing powder then used a zip clear color brush marker to quickly water color the wreath. I stamped a few of the accent flowers from Fall for You and cut them out with the Fall For You Confetti Cuts

I mounted the completed wreath onto a Premium Polar White Pierced Round Top Layer confetti cut and stamped the sentiment from Fall For You in Navy ink. I then added a layer of Navy card stock and added it all to a Premium Polar white card base. i tied on some olive burlap twine to bring in another touch of green.

Check out what the team has created this week using these colors! We cannot wait see what you create!
