Wanna Sketch no.14-Thank You Duo

I have always loved Lisa Arana's Wanna Sketch challenges. It has been awhile since I have played along. When I saw this sketch, right away I knew I wanted to use the Reverse Confetti Office Edges Confetti Cut die (all links listed below). I needed a few thank-you notes for my son, so I whipped up a card duo.

I used the same supplies for each card, and just changed up the color scheme. Love doing that. Makes a card making session go a little faster. I stamped the stars from Inner Rock Star on the custom made notebook paper layer. I stamped it once in Lemon Drop and again in Gumdrop Green. I used my Arrow embossing folder to add some extra texture.

For the sentiment (Lots to Say), I went ahead and cut two of the double ended fishtail banner pieces from the RC Tag Me Confetti Cut die set. I tied on some twine and called these done. I'm still loving the Let's Polka papers. Fun stuff. The paper is a must have!

Here is the Wanna sketch from Lisa A's blog. Come play along. There is still a teen y bitty amount of time.

Here are the Reverse Confetti products I used on my cards today.

Happy Friday, friends! I'll see you back here on Sunday for my Sweet Sunday Sketch post.

Hello Pumpkin {wanna sketch no.8}

I'm playing along with the Wanna Sketch no.8 challenge. Lucky for me, my friend and fellow Unity design team member, Lisa Arana runs her sketch challenge for a month! LOVE that. I have had this on my to-do list all month long and for some reason it keeps getting pushed to the bottom of my list.
I made time for it yesterday and used the adorable new Reverse Confetti stamp set, Forever Fall

I took the sketch quite literally and used the wood grain border (stamped in Kraft ink)  for the sentiment strip, and added my sentiment paired with the darling polka dotted pumpkin right on top. The pumpkin is a two step stamp, I was able to add my stem to the top in Olive ink. Love that.  I think it's great when you can create  clean and simple cards with just stamps.

After I finished off the stamping, I felt it was missing just a little something. I'm addicted to my twine, so I tied on a teeny little bow and attached with an enamel dot.

You find the Wanna Sketch Challenge,  HERE. But hurry....you only have until tomorrow to link this one up. If you  miss it, no worries....Lisa will have a new sketch up soon.

Embrace Happiness

Hubby was at a soccer meeting and the boys each had friends over, so that meant stampy time for mama. I went ahead and colored up this sweet stamp from TSG, Amalie's Daisy.  I picked her up the other week during their Christmas in July sale. Love that!

I made things easy on myself and used Lisa Arana's Wanna Sketch no.7 for my layout. Have you seen her sketches yet? They are sure fun and a great way to kick start a clean and simple card.
I also am sliding in at the last minute with this week's TSG-Metal challenge. I added some criss crossed staples and used a grey brad. See, you can add metal to a girly card and still make it look sweet.

I loved that this stamp set included the extra flower image. I used it to stamp my background  as well as to add an extra layer to her hat flower.

I colored this top flower the same as the first one and popped it up with a dimensional. I also gave it a touch of sparkle with MFT's Glitter Glaze

This was the perfect card for my Sunday afternoon. Hope you like it. I'll be back tomorrow with more stampy goodies.

I am working ahead
and checking things off my

One of them being this year's

Thanks to Unity
and this week's

Have you seen them??
There are three of the sweetest
dad sentiments.
{all about dad}

Today is the day to sign up!
Don't miss out on this week's stamps
and look forward to a bit of Unity in
your mailbox every week.

I used this week's MOJO MOnday sketch for this card.
I put a few MFT Die-namics to work
(postage stamp stax, oval stax, and Tool Die-namics).
love those dies :)
See the sweet tools I added to the bows?

 For this card,
I am playing along with
the uber talented and fellow Unity DT member,
Lisa Arana's
Wanna Sketch Challenge.
It's her 5th one......have you played??

I used all of the sentiment's included in this week's
in MFT Berrylicious, Steel Blue, and Factory Green inks.

 Feather's are HOT right now.
I cut two from the MFT Feather's and Arrows Die-namcis
and used them to embellish my card.
A quick fishtail flag from Blueprints2 Die-namics and
I had card no. 2 done.

Check out Lisa's sketch challenge HERE.
