MFTWSC156-hot dog

ahhhhh! loved me some stampy time today. I got two cards done and I'll share one today. I used this week's MFT Wed. stamp club sketch for my card. I have always LOOOOVED that Speech Bubble frame Die-namics. When I saw it as part of the sketch, I couldn't wait to play.  I followed the sketch exactly as it was written. Figured that was a smart move since it had been over two weeks since I created anything.

I used the sweet dog from the new Wendy Burns Designs, Best Friends. If we ever got a small dog, I'd want a wiener dog. For now I'll have fun with the stamp form. I colored him up with my copics and pieced he sweet little sweater with the Hey Kids papers.

 The sentiment is one of my favorites. Seriously. I say "hot dog" all the time. You'll also notice the embossed diagonals in the background. I used the On the Diagonal stencil with my Vagabond. I really love that you can use them to add embossing details. Simply run it through your die cut machine with an embossing matt.

Thanks for stopping by. Wishing you all a happy new year. I'll be back on the first as part of the Season of Giving Blog Hop. ** spoiler alert** I've got blog candy......and so do hundreds of other bloggers. You won't want to miss it!

Also stop by my friend Heather's blog today. We were both playing along with this challenge. I know she'll have something fabulous.

Merry Christmas to you and yours!

It's a quickie today. I thought it appropriate to share another  holiday card that just happens to use the color challenge for this month's Reverse Confetti Challenge. Plus I wanted to tell you all Merry Christmas.

I used the Bring on the merry stamp set to stamp my greeting in top of the large tag from Tag Me Confetti Cuts die. I love the unexpected touch of pink with this color combo.

A few polka dots in the background from Whole Lotta Dots and a scattering of sequins add to the festive feel of this one.

Check out the Challenge details by clicking on the graphic below.

Check out the word combos on this for this one:

Have a beautiful holiday with your family and friends. Wishing you a blessed holiday season.

200! Sketches and a Prize {Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge}

We are celebrating 200 sketches with Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge! Wow! Thanks Karen for hosting such a fantastic challenge for soooooo many weeks.  I'm still pinching myself that I get to stamp along side such a talented group of women.

Well let's jump in. I know we are all super busy with last minute holiday prep! Good thing you have 2 two weeks to play along.

I used some  new MFT stamps for my card. I looooove this girl. The stamp set is called Best Friends. I think the Wendy Burns Designs are my new favorite at MFT. The sweet little doggie in this set is A-dorable!

Papers are by Pink Paislee, Hey Kid. The playful designs and fun colors were great with this girl. The Sketch is simple, I kept it that way and really let my coloring shine. Note to self.....don't let it go so long between coloring sessions. I felt like I forgot how to use my copics. LOL.

I used the Blueprints 10 banner pieceand a button  for my corner embellishment. The darker brown color is the new Chocolate from MFT.  It's similar to Hot Fudge, but just a bit lighter, not as rich, even though you can't really tell from this picture.  I really like it.

Here is this week's sketch. Have fun with it.

 Be sure to hop on over to Karen's Blog for all the Challenge details.
Since it is the 200th Sketch.....Karen is offering up a PRIZE!!

Then follow me to see what the rest of the  Sweet Sunday Sketch Team did with the layout.

MFT WSC....almost on time {Celebrate}

My box of new goodies from My Favorite Things arrived Monday afternoon. It was a whole bunch of happy from the December release. Lucky for me, I needed a birthday card, so I was able to put the new Celebratory Greetings to work, along with a whole other bunch of new MFT goodies I ordered.

I used last week's Wednesday Stamp Club sketch 154 to make this card come together quickly.  I'm in love with the newest Blueprints 10 Die-namics. Those rounded panels make me happy! So do the sweet little circle elements. They are SO fun to work with.

I used the heart on here along with one of the Mini Tab Foursome Die-namics just like the sketch.
I love this color combo: Nightshift Blue, Sno cone, Fuse Green, and Sweet tooth with a bit of Kraft mixed in.

I stamped the pretty new Text Background on the Kraft with new Natural ink. Two things.....those new rubber background stamps are HUGE and soooo cool, and second Love that new ink stamped on Kraft. Kraft on Kraft is great, but I really like the softer tone you get when you stamp the Natural on Kraft.

I haven't done up the inside of a card in a really long time. I decided to stamp the greeting from Celebrate Big.

Thanks for stopping by today. I was pretty excited to show off this sweet card. It was also nice to take a little break from holiday cards. I needed two more today, and I finished them off. Phew....until next year, I'll probably be giving Christmas cards a rest.

Have a great day!

Reverse Confetti December Color Challenge

Trying to keep warm. It's been cold here in Cincinnati. We had LOTS of snow last week, but after a day of rain on Saturday, it's all gone. I was kind of hoping to have some white stuff for the holidays next week. Maybe we'll get lucky and get a little bit more.
One of my favorite places to get cozy is down in my craft room. We are lucky to have another challenge from Reverse Confetti. It's the December Color Challenge.

I need a few more Christmas cards, so I got busy with the Bring on the  Merry stamp set. It's so fun to build your own sentiment with these stamps.

I used some PTI Chartreuse and MFT Cotton Candy and Red Hot to show of the pretty color combo. I added some Lots of Dots in the background. I stamped those in some Amuse ink on Sweet Tooth card stock. I tucked in that stack of  triangles from Tinsel 'n Trim. I love how it resembles a Christmas tree, but it also helps tie in the triangles from the pattern paper strip I used along the bottom.

I layered the pretty words onto the Sweet Treat Tent Confetti Cut die. I love trimming off the tabs at the score marks to make a fabulous card layer. That cut oval is the perfect place to add some pretty ribbon, like I did here.

 Here is the fabulous graphic for this month's Challenge.

Check out all the combos you can create with this ONE stamp set.
