Inspired by-Birthday Pup

Hello, it's Thursday and that means it's time for another beautiful

While I am sure I could have dug through my stash to find a killer type writer image, I was inspired by the idea of text in my background and the gorgeous aqua color. I repeatedly stamped the birthday sentiment from Word Up. I used Stone, Iced Aqua, and RC Aqua inks to stamp the greeting. (affiliate links are listed below, at no charge to you. Thank you if you chose to shop through my links. You have no idea how much I appreciate it.)

I knew I would be sending out this birthday card to my son's friend this weekend, so I picked out the Furever Friend pup to color up. I used the coordinating Confetti cuts to cut him out. I added a strip of Sweet Stripes to the bottom of the polar white Pierced Round Top Layers Confetti Cuts. The final detail I added was one of my favorites, the

I the hit it with some distress inks in the challenge colors and did a quick watercoloring. Here is a look at the embossing and water color detail.

The sentiment was quick too. I used the awesome new Thankfully word die and completed the greeting with a strip of encouragement from Ways to Say Get Well

Inspired By-Nautical/ Blue Crabs

Hello, it's Thursday and that means it's time for another beautiful

I was totally inspired by all the pretty blue tones in the photo and I went for it. While I was looking for a sweet anchor image from my stash, I flipped through and these awesome crabs jumped out at me. I don't think this set has left my desk since the release. It's called Let's Shellabrate

I started with a Polar White card base and splattered on some Distress inks in Chipped Sapphire, Mermaid Lagoon, and Broken China. While that dried, I cut the pretty Scallop Stripe Panel Confetti Cuts

Color Throwdown 557/ Lil' Inker Designs/ Thankful Bunch

Hi, everyone!   It's Lori's turn as hostess for this week’s Color Throwdown challenge.  The colors from this week's inspiration photo are purple, blue, turquoise, and yellow.  The colors are generic and it's fine if you want to add in other neutrals along with the challenge colors.

Once you’ve finished your card or other paper crafting project using the colors, add a direct link to your creation using the linky tool at the bottom of the post.  And, don’t forget to use the keyword CTD557 if you upload your project to an online gallery. You can use the keywords #ctd557and #colorthrowdown if you upload to any social media sites (yes, we're on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter!).  All of the challenge "rules" are in the right sidebar in case you have any questions.  One last detail to remember, no digital designs.  Only digital images that are printed off and colored will be allowed.  Totally digital designs will be removed from the link up.

I pulled out one of my favorite Lil' inker Designs stamp set called Fall Foliage. I just love the blooms included and I used the color combo for this week to create a customized bouquet with RC inks-Buttercup, Wisteria, Iced Aqua, and Island Blue. After I stamped the leaves and flowers, I used the coordinating Fall Foliage Dies to cut them out.

I framed it up with come Iced Aqua card stock cut with the Dual Stitched Rectangles Dies. I stamped the sentiment in Island Blue ink along the bottom. This is a  square card measuring 4.25 x 4.25, and I love that it will still fit into a standard A2 sized envelope.

Inspired By/ Ice Cream

Hello, it's Thursday and that means it's time for another beautiful

Below is is the inspiration photo, and this one made me giddy. I am huge ice cream lover and if you have ever been to Cincinnati and indulged in Graters Black Raspberry Chip ice cream, then you know what I am talking about. This inspiration photo almost had me running to the store.
I started with a ink smooshed background with some Wilted Violet distress ink. I added some splatters in white and silver. I colored up the sweet little bear from Ice Cream Social and grounded him with a strip of purple pattern paper from the Fun Times paper pad.

I added in a touch of silver with the Thanks & Hello  Word die.

Color Throwdown 556-Healthy Wishes

Hello Color Throwdown fans! It's Lisa Henke and I have the pleasure of being your hostess this week for the new color challenge. I have picked a pretty combo of green, yellow, light blue, kraft.

I had a whole different version before I started but then changed gears when I decided I had to color up this awesome new release from Picket Fence Studios (scroll down to see the release post). It's called Leaf Picture Frame and I embossed in white and colored it up with my Polychormos colored pencils on some Sand card stock. I then used a circle die to cut out the center and created a simple shaker card. I muted the look with some vellum card stock.

I added some strips of Spring moss card stock and stamped a greeting in Navy ink from Ways to Say Get Well

Reverse Confetti/ August Creative Blog Hop

it's the 8th! and that means great stuff on the web today with the Reverse Confetti Crew. It's our Creative Hop. This month we have a theme of  ABC! What's that, you ask? Well, it stands for anything but a card....so grab a cuppa your favorite beverage and join me to see what awesomeness the crew has for you.

The Reverse Confetti Blog has all the info.

It's been an exciting few weeks for a few of my friends recently, as they each had beautiful baby girls born into their family's. I am waaaaay past the baby days, but my heart just bursts for joy when a precious gift from God enters this world. So needless to say, babies have been on my brain. So I picked up a pack of white little onesies and decided to customize them. It was easy to do with some Archival ink (TIP: give it extra time to dry. I was impatient and colored a little too soon. So wait. Just wait before you color with your Copics) Copics, and a handful of Reverse Confetti stamps.

I pulled out a few darling images from my favorite new sets, Ice Cream Social, Party Animals, and Let's Shellabrate. I used sentiments from the same sets on two of the under shirts and then pulled in a sweet sentiment from Sentimental Sayings for the elephant one. I think it looks great in just black & white, but I decided to add some color.

I placed a piece of scarp card stock between the shirt layers so the ink wouldn't bleed through. I used a light hand while coloring with my Copics. I used the same colors on all three Onesies so they would coordinate.

here is a closer look at each individual under shirt I stamped.

Party Animals and Sentimental Sayings

Let's Shellabrate

I used the bunny from Ice Cream social and sentiment from same set.

I was also able to use my Misti to ink up the Onesie. Just in case I needed to double stamp to get a clear image. If you apply generous pressure to the stamp, you should be good though. I was . I then stamped a sentiment right below the image. I kept it simple.

I decided to create a coordinating tag and colored up a elephant from the Party Animals set. I just love that sweet ellie. I added it to a Grid Stitched Tag. The detail on this tag, is just awesome! The sentiment is from the must-have sentiment set, Sentimental Sayings. I keep reaching for this time and time again and I adore the mix of fonts.  I tied it all up with some ribbon and twine.

Inspired By- Back to School

Hello, it's Thursday and that means it's time for another beautiful

Below is is the inspiration photo, and as sad as I am that summer is coming to a close and school is starting being able to make fun cards helps ease the pain.
Back to work for me next week and the boys go back to school the following week.

I used a mix of Reverse Confetti products for today's card. I started with the ice cream truck from Ice Cream Social and turned it into a school bus! It was easy to do by simply masking off the banner and ice cream cone from the window and then colored it up with yellow copics markers.

The background is another stenciled background using a cover panel. This time I lightly blended on Sand ink with the Bubbles Confetti cut. The clouds  and the sweet little bear from Honey Bear set. They were the perfect additions to my card. The sentiment is stamped in Midnight ink and it's from the fabulous set, So Many Sentiments. I finished off the card with a few strips of pattern paper.

Thanks so much for hanging with me today. I have so much more to share. It's Creative Hop day with the Confetti Crew, so be sure to check back (or scroll down).
