Inspired by-Hello Spring

It's a new week and a new challenge is up on the Inspired By Blog. I sure hope Spring is here soon. I see signs every day.

This card was very therapeutic for me the other day. It was the best way to disconnect from the crazy of world. I used the two images from the new Tulips set from Reverse Confetti and stamped them all over a copic friendly paper. Once the ink was dry, I got busy coloring with Copic markers. I added a strip of striped paper to the side.

The sentiment was created with the Hello & Thanks Word Duo Confetti Cut and then I added a white embossed sentiment from the Tulips set on Midnight card stock.

Here is a look at the full card. I hope you'll be inspired and come play along with the challenge. You can find the details over on the Inspired By Blog.

Hope you are staying safe and healthy and sane!

Inspired By:home sweet home/ Reverse Confetti

Hello friends. I am back with the Inspired By team for this week's challenge. My eye was drawn to the bright green of the couch and those blue triangles in the pillow. I combined the two colors on my card using some fun Reverse Confetti products.

I love that Triangles Cover Panel and I cut it from some Sand card stock and popped it up with foam dimensionals. I used a Life Changing Blending Brush to add in the Grass Green and Island Blue inks to the card base, so the colors peaked through the die cut triangles.

I customized the sentiment with the Hooray & Cheers Confetti Cuts and a greeting from Word up. I didn't have the exact color of card stock I wanted so I went to some ink blending again to create a Grass Green die cut. At the last minute I decided it needed some sparkle, so I covered the die cut word with Gina K's Glitz Glitter Gel. It is such a cool texture and just the right amount of shine.

Come check out the challenge and play along. I'd love to see what inspires you from the photo. Inspired by: Home Sweet Home

Inspired by-Birthday Pup

Hello, it's Thursday and that means it's time for another beautiful

While I am sure I could have dug through my stash to find a killer type writer image, I was inspired by the idea of text in my background and the gorgeous aqua color. I repeatedly stamped the birthday sentiment from Word Up. I used Stone, Iced Aqua, and RC Aqua inks to stamp the greeting. (affiliate links are listed below, at no charge to you. Thank you if you chose to shop through my links. You have no idea how much I appreciate it.)

I knew I would be sending out this birthday card to my son's friend this weekend, so I picked out the Furever Friend pup to color up. I used the coordinating Confetti cuts to cut him out. I added a strip of Sweet Stripes to the bottom of the polar white Pierced Round Top Layers Confetti Cuts. The final detail I added was one of my favorites, the

Inspired By-Nautical/ Blue Crabs

Hello, it's Thursday and that means it's time for another beautiful

I was totally inspired by all the pretty blue tones in the photo and I went for it. While I was looking for a sweet anchor image from my stash, I flipped through and these awesome crabs jumped out at me. I don't think this set has left my desk since the release. It's called Let's Shellabrate.

I started with a Polar White card base and splattered on some Distress inks in Chipped Sapphire, Mermaid Lagoon, and Broken China. While that dried, I cut the pretty Scallop Stripe Panel Confetti Cuts.

Inspired By/ Ice Cream

Hello, it's Thursday and that means it's time for another beautiful

Below is is the inspiration photo, and this one made me giddy. I am huge ice cream lover and if you have ever been to Cincinnati and indulged in Graters Black Raspberry Chip ice cream, then you know what I am talking about. This inspiration photo almost had me running to the store.
I started with a ink smooshed background with some Wilted Violet distress ink. I added some splatters in white and silver. I colored up the sweet little bear from Ice Cream Social and grounded him with a strip of purple pattern paper from the Fun Times paper pad.

I added in a touch of silver with the Thanks & Hello  Word die.

Inspired By- Back to School

Hello, it's Thursday and that means it's time for another beautiful

Below is is the inspiration photo, and as sad as I am that summer is coming to a close and school is starting being able to make fun cards helps ease the pain.
Back to work for me next week and the boys go back to school the following week.

I used a mix of Reverse Confetti products for today's card. I started with the ice cream truck from Ice Cream Social and turned it into a school bus! It was easy to do by simply masking off the banner and ice cream cone from the window and then colored it up with yellow copics markers.

The background is another stenciled background using a cover panel. This time I lightly blended on Sand ink with the Bubbles Confetti cut. The clouds  and the sweet little bear from Honey Bear set. They were the perfect additions to my card. The sentiment is stamped in Midnight ink and it's from the fabulous set, So Many Sentiments. I finished off the card with a few strips of pattern paper.

Thanks so much for hanging with me today. I have so much more to share. It's Creative Hop day with the Confetti Crew, so be sure to check back (or scroll down).

Inspired By-S'more fun

I am so super excited to announce that I have joined the design team for the   Inspired By Challenge.

Have you seen it? It's a fabulous inspiration challenge created by laurel Seabrook. We post weekly and it's another great way to get crafty. You can create any paper crafting project that inspired you from the photo. Here's how I was inspired this week.

I pulled out the awesome set from Reverse Confetti called Greatest Adventure. It had a campfire building scene so I went for it. I colored up the woodland critters and gave them each a marshmallow stick and cut them outwith the matching Greatest Adventure Confetti Cuts. (Links are listed below in Linkdeli).

I added them to the Grid Stitched Tag Confetti Cuts. For my background I stuck with the red & white paper but decided on stripes instead of plaid. I added in a Sand border from the All Framed Up Confetti Cuts.

Here is the inspiration photo for this week's challenge.

Teachers, Back to School, Inspired By

I saw this week's Inspired by-Back to School Challenge and I knew I had to play. I went searching through my stash for just the right stamps and the beautiful apples by Lil' Inker Designs from the Teacher Talk stamp set jumped out at me. I used the Apple Pieces dies to cut out the apple and it's bits.  I added it to the top of the Perfect Palette Die. I was inspired by those round buttons up for grabs as a prize for the challenge and loved the graphic feel of these. The cut outs show off the awesome rainbow striped paper.

I cut out three of the Teacher Talk Word dies and adhered them together for great dimension.I finished off the sentiment on black card stock and some white embossing powder. The words are from the Teacher Talk stamp set.

Here is the challenge graphic.
Go check it out.

Thanks for stopping by today.
See you back soon.

MFTWSC111-{dad birthday}

So happy you are hear today. It's another Wednesday Stamp Club with a fun, and easy sketch. It is birthday month in my family, or should I say Birthday week!!! Today is my dad's birthday and  usually I don't see him on his birthday, but this year I do. My parents are stopping in for an overnight while they make their very first drive down to Florida.
So I surprised him with a cake, card and gift from me and the boys. I used this week's sketch to make his card.

I've been getting creative with more of the Inspired by line of stamps. Today I chose to work with the Lighthouses from Inspired by Lighthouses. I love having these stamps in my stash. This one worked great for my masculine card. I also used the sentiment from this month's Triple Scoop set (get it for FREE with a qualifying order), Western Sentiments. I stamped in in Sno Cone ink on the Natural Cardstock.

Here's a closer look at the Circle Stax I used to accent the lighthouse image. I stamped the image with Momento Cocoa ink so I could add some subtle shading with my Copics.

The Sketch also called for a tab at the top. I added two, one from the Mix & Match Banner Die-namics and then another from my favorite, Accent it-Labels and Tabs set. I used the Typewriter Alphabet stamp set to add the word, Dad in Sno Cone ink. I completed the layered tabs with a Nightshift Blue Button and twine.

Here is this week's sketch.

Stop on by Kim's Blog for all the sketch details and to see what the DT has done with it.

We encourage you all to play along, and to enter your card in the weekly draw for a $15 gift voucher to the MFT Boutique. Simply follow the sketch and create a card or other paper creation.
