TCPTues 287 {anything goes}

Quick post from me today. I'm off enjoying family time during our Spring Break. It's Tuesday and it's been two weeks since the last TCP Tuesday Challenge, so that means TODAY is a new Challenge DAY! Woooo WHOOO!!

I used the jut released Keep Calm stamp set. I stamped it onto vellum to show off the pretty wavy rainbow I made with the awesome Wavy Stitched Border Cut Up

It's an Anything Goes Challenge, so pull out any TCP stamps or Cut Ups and join the fun. All the details are over on Alma's Blog.

Have a beautiful day!

Sweet Sunday Sketch 262 {wishing you sunshine}

It's a beautiful Sunday! No alarm to wake up to, my kiddos off from school for a week, and being ahead of schedule on some DT commitments. Life is good. There is also a sweet new sketch up and ready for you on the Sweet Sunday Sketch Blog

I think I was craving warm sunshine last week. I made quite a few cards with the Sun 'n Clouds Confetti Cuts. On this card I mounted them onto a Circles 'n Scallops die and then tied on a sweet twine buttoney bow. The sentiment is from Shine Bright. I stamped it in Peach Bellini Premium dye ink from MFT. Papers are Lawn Fawn, Let's Polka Mon Amie 6x6 pack

Here is the sketch for this week.
Come play along and don't forget to check out what the DT has done with the sketch.
Beautiful inspiration!

See you back soon with the April Release from Reverse Confetti!
The fun starts on April 5.

RC March SFYTT {still time to play}

I have been having much fun working with the adorable new stamp set Tweet Life by Reverse Confetti. I just love those chick and birdie in the set. Today I have this card for the March SFYTT. There is still time to link up and play along for a chance to win!

I REALLY love how this card turned out. It's so simple, yet still has lots of layers. The paper is from Lawn Fawn, Let's Polka Mon Amie.  Following the sketch, I decided to use the Folded Tag Confetti Cut for my background panel. I was able to "hide" the scored fold line and tuck tab with the Circle 'n Scallops larger solid circle die. You'll see I also added in the double fishtail banner piece from Tag Me

Along the bottom there was just enough space to add my simple "hello" sentiment from the Tweet Life stamp set.
Here is the sketch:

and a closer look at the products I used today.

Now head on over to the Reverse Confetti Blog
to see all the challenge details.

Thanks for stopping by today.!

CAS(E) this Sketch {hello sunshine}

Some days you just need to start a crafty session (or end one, as in this case for me) with a super easy and quick card. If you have the right products, and a great sketch sometimes this happens like magic.

I played along with the CAS(e) this Sketch Challenge 115, used the recently released Spring Fling Quick card panels and this card came together so speedy fast! It's a good thing because my oldest was getting ready to walk through the door from school. Have you tried the Quick Card Panels from Reverse Confetti, yet? If not, what are you waiting for??

I lined the quick card panel with some Tropical Teal card stock and then used the Sun 'n Clouds Confetti cuts to accent the top left corner of the panel like the sketch called for. The sentiment was already on the panel, so no stamping even needed! Love that! I added some bling with a scattering of sequins from Pretty Pink Posh. Bam! Done!

I'm sending out some cards this week. This one is going to a neighbor. I sure hope it brightens her day. Have you sent out any handmade cards lately? I am trying to be much better about this. It's one of the reasons I love this hobby. I can help put a smile on someone's face with some happy mail! Join me and be more intentional about sending cards.

Here is the challenge I'm linking up to.

And here is a close look at the RC products I used today.

Hope your Monday has been wonderful!

Sweet Sunday Sketch 261 {hello friend}

It's time for a new sketch. I pulled out the adorable Three Amigos stamp set by Mama Elephant to make today's card.

 I can not get enough of these cuties. I used the zenith borders stamped on the Long & Skinny Rectangles by Lil' Inker Designs. Speaking of stitched dies, those rectangles are also by LID. They are the JUST RELEASED Dual Stitched Rectangles.

Like the color combo? I loved it. It's from the Colour Q Challenge Blog and I'm linking it up.

And here is the Sweet Sunday Sketch. Come play along with us
and be sure to check out what the DT did.
I love these girls....sooooo talented!

Have a beautiful Sunday!

Curtain Still Up: Jelly Bean Reminder

There is still time to join us for the Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge!

You have until March 25th at 8:00 AM CDT to be inspired and share your project!

I created this water colored background the other week. It's been waiting for just the right card. This week's challenge and my Reverse Confetti products were the perfect fit.

I used the Documented Confetti cut. I then used the adorable Carton Cuties to stamp and then cut out the sweet bunny face. I love how the color looks so close to those flourescent marshmellow treats. I do not like peeps....but I love them in stamp form. I cut a Beautiful Banner and stamped a sentiment from Carton Cuties in Tropical Teal, being sure to give it a slight curve to match the banner. Some Pretty Pink Posh sequins (thanks, Stacey for the sweet gifty!).

Current challenge details and link-up are here

The LEAD of this challenge will be invited to be a guest designer in an upcoming challenge!
I sure hope you'll play along.

LID Surprise Mini Release

Surprise mini Release from Lil' Inker Designs. Laura was super excited about these new Dual Stitched dies she didn't want you to have to wait for them. I'm soooo glad she isn't waiting. The two new dies are Stitched Mats: Dual Stitched Rectangles and Dual Stitched Squares as well as some wire cutting pliers.

 I have included some of the product details below, but my favorite part of these sets is that they fully cut an A2 panel for the rectangle and a 4.25 inch square for the square mats. I almost always  create my card on a separate card stock layer AND then adhere that to my card base. I did that with this card. 4.25 square cards are my favorite sized square card because they still fit in an A2 envelope.

I made this pretty card, inspired by the current Color Throwdown Challenge-orange, pink, and navy.

I used two of the Dual Stitched Square dies. The largest one and then the next size down. After I cut my blue pattern layer with the largest Dual Stitched Square Mat, I placed the next size in the middle of the blue paper layer to cut out the middle and since it's a dual stitched die, I got the stitching on the outside, too. This created a frame that I popped up foam dimensionals.

I used the same sized die to cut out some smooth white card stock. I used that to stamp the sentiment and floral details.

I used the gorgeous new stamp sets, Paint Your Canvas and Really Rosemaling to make this main image panel. I used the awesome new Ombre' Inks by Hero Arts for my sentiment. I tucked in this finished panel into the middle of the blue frame I created. Some sequins give it the right amount of sparkle.

Stitched Mats: Dual Stitched Rectangles feature THREE THINGS customers and friends of LID have been asking for!
1. Additional sizes of stitched rectangles
2. A die that cuts an A2 stitched rectangle (instead of just cutting a stitched border like our original set)
3. A set of Dual Stitched Rectangles

Stitched Mats: Dual Stitched Squares:
1. The largest die cuts a perfect 4.25" x 4.25" stitched square; a handier more card-friendly stitched mat size!
2. Additional sizes of stitched squares
3. Three dies featuring Dual Stitching!

The new wire cutting pliers are a smaller 4.50" size with a comfort grip handle and are of EXCELLENT quality. They make separating wired dies so super easy! I'm really happy to see Laura is adding this tool to the shop. I have been using my old, SU Craft & Rubber scissors to cut apart my dies. They are just not getting the done, easily. I REALLY have to work the scissors and I end up with the teeny little metal tabs flying all over my craft room. Having the RIGHT tool for the job is a GOOD  thing!

Make sure you pop over to the LID Blog for all the rest of the details with this mini release. There is a special deal on the new Mini Canvas Die and Mini Easel.

For a limited time only through March 31st, when you purchase our new Mini Canvas Die you will receive a FREE Mini Easel with your purchase! Add both items to your cart and then use the code MINIEASEL at checkout.

Happy Friday!! Woohoo!
Hope you get your craft on soon!
