TCPTuesday 296-create your own happiness

Hello friends. Last week a new TCPTuesday Challenge went up and today I'm reminding you to come play along. I used  a handful of the new products the were just released. The star of the show is the new Sock Monkey Cut up! He's creating his own happiness with a pink martini!

I also made sure to use the Stitched Fly frame from last release. I just snipped out the inside elements. I tucked in a white stitched speech bubble from He Said, She Said. It's still FREE with a qualifying $65 order! It was the perfect place to stamp my Show Me The Monkey sentiment.

Check out the Challenge details over on the TCP Blog
Here is the color board. So sweet!

Sadly, this will be my last post as part of the TCP design team. Back to school and back to work is happening here next week and I had to let something go. I decided to step down from the team. It's been amazing time, working with creative and fabulous women. Alma is joy to design for. Thanks for a great couple years!

Thanks for stopping by.

TCPTues 292 {wish you were here}

Hello, Tuesday and hello friend. It's time for the next TCP Tuesday Challenge. Head on over to the TCP Blog to see all the challenge details. It's a color challenge and I know you'll love it....soooo summery and sweet!

I used the current Retro Sketch for my card layout and colored up the Travelin' Man stamp set (boo! it's out of stock currently....check back for status).

I added a stretch of stitched road by cutting some Limelight card stock with the Wavy Stitched Border and then simply trimmed off the wavy part to give a straight road.

Hop on over to the TCP Blog for all the challenge details.
Here is the graphic to get you started.

Here is the sketch I used for my card layout.

Thanks for stopping by, have a beautiful day!

TCPTues 290-Inspiring Others

Time for another round of the TCPTues Challenge with The Cats Pajamas. It's a sketch challenge and it's a good one.....it has a tag!! Normally I am a sucker for a tag, but this time I just wanted to have a rectangle panel.  I water colored with some distress inks and then cut it down for a fun background.

I stamped and colored up the awesome space ship from  Space Cadet.  I just love that there are multiple images included in the set along with all the sentiments. A scattering of Star Cutups (ummmm, these little guys are awesome. So cool, that you can cut the outline in different sizes. Get them, if you don't have them already!) cut from silver glitter paper and sequins finish the look.

Here is the sketch for the challenge.

Be sure to head over to Alma's blog for all the challenge details,
and for the link up! you have two weeks to play.

TCPTues 289 {thinking of you}

It's TCPTuesday Challenge time! There is a wonderful Inspiration photo for you to play along with. I created a CAS card playing off the colors and the text birds in the photo.

 The Birds CutUps is such a cool die. I think those birds are stunning on any project. I cut them from some text designer paper (Stampin' Up!, I think).

I used one of my Ombre' ink pads for the sentiment. I love the Simply Said stamp set. It's a must have sentiment set, that's for sure. Two strips of colored card stock layered in the background and this card was done.

Here is the challenge graphic.

Be sure to head over to the TCP Blog to see all the rules and details and to find the link up. We would love for you to join us.
