Poppy Sketch #17-goodtimes

Welcome and happy Monday! It's a great day for a new sketch from Poppy Sketches.  There is an even better reason to play along, this is our last sketch. Laura has decided to hang it up to concentrate on some personal health issues. She's following her heart and what is best for her. I am so honored to have had a chance to be a part of this inspirational challenge. The sketches have been great and it's been a blast working with the team.

We are going out with a bang with Starving Artists stamps as our sponsor this week. We got these adorable space stamps to work with.

I colored up the images with copics and cut them out. I used an MFT Die-namics for the sentiment and added some PTI stars. Here's a close up.

Check out the final sketch and challenge. We hope you'll play along for a chance to win a great prize from Starving Artists stamps.

Need more inspiration, be sure to stop by the Poppy Sketches blog to see what the rest of the team has done with these stamps. Thanks again for all your support!

Poppy Sketch no.16 {pop of chevron}

Happy Monday! It's time for another Poppy Sketch. It's a great one. I flipped it today to use it for a special sparkly birthday card. Ooooooo, and Chevrons....I love chevrons!

I used the cool new Roundabout Additions stamp set. I used the largest circle from Circles 'n Scallops to cut it out. I also added some pretty small scallops from the Double Edge Scallop Border.  I tucked in some pretty silver twine and added my favorite Pretty Pink Posh sequins.

Here is the challenge for this week.

 It's a pop of pattern.....yay! Chevrons! Our sponsor this week is Cut Cardstock. We got some beautiful shimmery and sparkly card stock to work with. I loved it. AND it was ALREADY cut.....time saver.....and awesome!

Poppy Sketch no.15 {thank ewe}

 Hello. So glad you are joining me for another fabulous week with Poppy Sketches no. 15. The sketch is great, we have a wonderful sponsor I KNOW you'll be excited about, and were serving up a dose of Houndstooth.  Please join us and welcome Gina K Designs as our next sponsor. Yay!!!

Gina was so generous and sent the Poppy Girls some wood veneer buttons to work with. Soooo cool! There is a whole section of Wood Embellishments in her store.
 I used this sweet flower and colored it up with an R01 copic to give it a hint of color.  I paired it with an oooooold Gina K stamp set, Down on the Farm. It's from 2007 and it's still so cute.  I created a fun, little grassy scene with that yummy mini pom pom trim from Pretty Pink Posh. I added my Touch of Houndstooth with an embossing folder.  Texture makes me happy.

Come join us for the fun! Stop on over to the Poppy Sketches Challenge Blog for more inspiration AND for the challenge details.

Here is this week's sketch.

Have a great start to your week!

Poppy Sketch 14- Monster Halloween

Another two  weeks have flown by. It's time for another fun sketch with the Poppy Sketch Challenge Blog.  There is another great sponsor this challenge, and it's Starving Artists Stamps . They have some of the cutest images to work with. I used the Halloween stamps.

I flipped the sketch and used the candy and sentiment to create some of the stripes from the sketch. I pieced up the cutie pie monster and added a twiney bow for the second element on the sketch.

 Check out this week's challenge. I think you'll have fun with it. Then pop on over to the Poppy Sketches Challenge Blog to see more inspiration and the link up.

Have a great Monday!

Poppy Sketch no.13-hello

Time for another Poppy Sketch. The amazing Stampendous Stamp is our sponsor again. So many great stamps this company makes. Here is my sample for this week's challenge.

I used a fun Jumbo cling stamp by Stampendous for my background. It love using large stamps like this with tone on tone stamping. I added a hello word die and some RC Petals Posies for my flowers. A scattering of sequins finished this one off.

Here is this week's sketch and color combo.

Come play along. The link up and more inspiration with the sketch from the rest of the Poppy Girls is HERE.

poppy Sketch no.12

Happy September! How did that happen? Time is crazy fast. Thank goodness I have my stamping and card making to keep me grounded. It's time for another fun sketch challenge with Poppy Sketch team. It's Sketch no.12 and I love it. We are challenging  you to use a pop of color!
Here is my card. The design team was lucky to get to work with some beautiful digi images by
 Iralamija Shop. This shop is filled to the brim with lots and lots of lovelies. It is so easy to escape into this shop and all of it's possibilities.

My rolled rose was the perfect handmade embellie to place on top of the digi card I chose to work with. I thought the rose was perfect with the sentiment. I used some pretty papers and added some Tea Dye distress ink along the edges. The seam binding ribbon was the perfect finishing touch.

Here is the sketch for this week's challenge;

You have two weeks to come play along. Be sure to stop by the Poppy Sketches blog for all the details AND to see what the other girls have done with the sketch. there is Quite the eye candy on the blog today.

Poppy Sketch Designs Team {sketch no.10}

I was thrilled when Laura sent me an email last month asking me to be a part of the Poppy Sketches design team. I've been a long time fan and was thrilled when she brought back the sketches earlier this year.

We are on sketch #10 and we have a great sponsor, Starving Artists Stamps. I received some great pumpkin stamps, so I created a sweet little pumpkin patch using some tone on tone stamping and adding the jack 'o lantern faces.

I stenciled in the yellow stars and added a Halloween sentiment (from Reverse Confetti) on a LID Pinking Edge Sentiment Flag.

Here is the sketch:

Head on over to the Poppy Sketches Blog for the challenge details, and to see what the rest of the DT did with the sketch and stars.

Orange You Glad {Poppy Sketch and Catered Crop}

I'm playing along with the newest Poppy Sketches Challenge. It's no.8. When I saw the sketch, I knew right away I wanted to use the new Pretty Panels from Reverse Confetti. Did you order one (or both of these)? The NEW July Reverse Confetti release is now available.
I love how the Pretty Panels pair perfectly with the Love Note scalloped frame (and Class Act confetti cuts, too). I used the Pretty Panels-Stripes today.

Check out my yummy orange. I stamped the Fresh 'n Fruity stamp in Orange fizz ink, cut it out with the Fresh 'n Fruity confetti cut die. I also stamped and cut a pair of the leaves included in the stamp set and topped it with a yellow Pretty Pink Posh flat sequin. For  a finishing touch, I went ahead and gave my orange a nice sugary coating of Rock Candy Distress glitter. I love the texture it adds.

There is also a new Catered Crop Recipe Swap up on Linda's blog. It's a BFF challenge, we are celebrating the friends in our lives. I just adore this punny sentiment from Fresh 'n Fruity. I stamped the second part of the sentiment onto a Tag Me Confetti Cut banner piece.

Come join us for the BFF challenge. It's fun, no product requirements, just join in. Make something and share with the rest of us.
