Color Throwdown 521/Winter Sympathy

Hello everyone! Amy Rysavy is our host for week's Color Throwdown challenge! This week's color challenge is just classy and fun! Perfect for Christmas, New Years, heck any theme of card really! The colors for this week are to use silver, black grey and whiteRemember we just use generic colors (so any brand/type/whatever you have will work) and you can always feel free to add in neutrals (white/black/etc) to make your creation pop!

If you upload your creation to a public gallery, please use the keyword CTD521, and please use #CTD521 and #colorthrowdown on social media so we can find your gorgeous creations!  When linking up your creation using the linky tool below, please be sure to link your specific post, not a general link to your blog.  All of the "rules" are in the right sidebar, and you can always check there to be sure!

One last detail to remember, no digital designs.  Only digital images that are printed off and colored will be allowed.  Totally digital designs will be removed from the link up.

I have had a few sympathy cards to send out recently, which makes me sad, but I hope they help my friend smile when she gets this one. I started with a Premium Polar white panel die cut with the Kindness Cards Confetti Cuts and then I embossed the pine boughs from Christmas Candle in silver. I decided to added some white sequins to the berries. I

You can see the shimmer of the silver embossing powder in this photo. I stamped the sentiment from Tall Blooms onto a strip of vellum and embossed that as well. I added a sweet little white snowflake from Snowflake Trio because I felt like it needed something. The background paper is from the Abundant Autumn 6x6 paper pad.

Check out the beautiful creations from the team this week! They are sure to inspire you, they always inspire me!! Have fun creating, we cannot wait to see what you come up with using these colors!

Let's give a huge thank-you to

Stock Your Stash/ Sparkling Holiday

November is coming to a close and that means there is just a little more time to get in your cards for the Stock Your Stash Challenge over on the RC Blog. This month's challenge theme is Holiday/Winter. I created a rainbow holiday card today.

I have been loving all the rainbow themed holiday cards, specifically the Christmas tree ones, all over Social Media. So I had to make one of my own. I used the sweet little trees from the Bearing Gifts stamp set. I stamped them in Midnight ink and then added a rainbow of Distress inks to color them up.

I gave it a snowy background with the Snowballs Cover Panel in Premium Polar White over a Mist card base.

I heat embossed the sentiment from the Triangle Trees. I love a crisp white embossed sentiment on Midnight card stock cut from the banner from Greetings Frame Confetti Cuts. I added a touch of sparkle with a clear sequin on each of the trees.

There will be a new Stock Your Stash challenge posted on the Reverse Confetti blog on the 1st of each month.
The sketch link list will be open from the 1st until noon CST on the 29th of the month. Click the "Play Along..." button on our sidebar to go current link list post.
Reverse Confetti stamps and/or Confetti Cuts are required to win.  This is a way we get to thank our customers for using our stamps.  Anyone is welcome to play, though!
You may enter as many times as you wish.
Use #SYSChallenge when playing along with this challenge.
There will be a random winner selected each month and that person will receive a $20 gift certificate to the Reverse Confetti store. The winner of challenge will be posted on the Reverse Confetti blog at the end of the month.

Thanks for hanging out with me today.

It's a busy holiday week for many of us, but hopefully you'll find some time to take a creative break and play along with us!

I had different plans for this card, but when I couldn't locate a die for the snowflake I was going to to create as a focal point, I switched gears and colored up the adorable snowman from the Cool Friend stamp set. I did some quick water coloring with my Zig Clean Color Brush markers and used the Cool Friend Confetti Cuts to cut him out.  In the background I stamped the solid snowflakes in Sand from Snowflake Magic

I framed it all up with the Scalloped Squares Confetti Cuts in Dark Roast card stock. I added some clear tiny sequins and a splattering of white mist by Studio Calico.

I had some fun with these colors and using  them on this  unexpected wintry card with.
Oh, and don't forget.....Reverse Confetti has a great Black Friday Sale running for you. Happy Shopping!

lik@cinci.rr.com
thanks so much.

and since I had such good news to share above, today is certainly a happy day. I wanted to show off this great new set, called Rustic Floral.

I started with a ink smooshed background and distress inks in Peacock Feathers and Shabby Shutters. I gave it a splattering of ink and let it dry. I stamped the image in Black Hybrid in and used my copic markers to color in the vase and stump. When the water colored background was dry, I stamped the sentiment with the Black Hybrid ink and my Misti. I LOVE the Misti for double stamping images and in this case, three times to get a crisp image on the textured Distress Water color paper. I fussy cut the images and adhered them to the panel.

Enjoy your day! Thanks for stopping by.
