Hello there! Lynn is our hostess for this week's Color Throwdown Challenge #518! She chose some cozy fall colors for all of us to create with this week. I hope you'll like creating with the colors Slate Blue, Orange, Brown and White for this week's challenge and I hope they inspire you to create something special. We are using generic colors, so as long as you use the color values shown, you are all set! As always, please feel free to incorporate any neutrals that you need in your design as well!
If you upload to a public gallery, please use the keyword CTD518, and please use #ctd518 and #colorthrowdown on social media sites. Also, when linking up your card using the linky tool at the bottom of the post, please link to your specific post, not a generic link to your blog. All of the "rules" are in the right sidebar, please check them out if you are in doubt! One last detail to remember, no digital designs - only digital images that are printed off and colored will be allowed. Totally digital designs will be removed from the link up.
We are right in the middle of the Countdown to Confetti (scroll down to see that post) for the November release from Reverse Confetti. Today is our sneak peek of the awesome new layered snowflake set called Snowflake Magic (available Nov.8). So I decided to use it for this week's challenge. I inked up the layers in softer, muted tones of the challenge colors: sand, Mist, Tangerine. I am diggin' the non-traditional colors for this snowflake.
For the background I used the Wonky Stripe Panel (the negative pieces) in Sand and mounted it onto some Mist card stock. I tucked in some sequins in orange and brown to play up more of the challenge colors. Simple, but packs a punch, I think.
Check out the beautiful creations from the team this week! They are sure to inspire you, they always inspire me!! Have fun creating, we cannot wait to see what you come up with using these colors!
Let's give a warm welcome to our November Guest Stamper, Caly Person
