It's Friday, How about some Friends with Flair

Phew...what a week. I have been getting used to my new crafty non-routine.  I've enjoyed the freedom to just make something to make something. I even found a few new challenges. Did you see my Mixed Media Art Journal Page? Scroll down.
I've also been nursing my puppy back to health. An 11 month old Golden with a cone on his head is a handful. I think he has even been a bit depressed. But his Hot Spot is healing and the licking is under control.
Then to top my week off, we have had our first broken bone from one of the boys. Our middle guy, fell on his hand while playing 3v3 soccer the other night and broke his thumb. So, thankful my hubby is an ER physician. He was calm, cool, and knew right what to do.  Ryan is doing well, and I am sure the small cast will not slow him down too much. It's only on for 3 weeks! 
Needless to say, today's card rang true to my heart! ha!  Unity has the coolest stamps. 
Today, I pulled out a JUST RELEASED Unity stamp.  This one is called Keep Calm Have a Beer.   And that's just what I did last night. We enjoyed a little dock-side dinner with some great friends. 

I framed up the sentiment with the MFT Chalkboard Frame Builder Die-namcis.  The cardstock is Soft Suede (one of my favorite browns from SU).  I colored in the letters and mug with copics.   

I shaded the mug with some of my Cool Grey copics and then used the pointillism coloring technique (using small, quick dabbing motions with the brush tip of your copic in multiple colors).  I thought it was a fun way to show off the bubbly drink inside my mug.

Friends with Flair and Moxie Fab!

I whipped out two super cute and super quick Unity cards using the fabulous Feb. KOTM! Seriously, this is one of my FAVE kits of all time-great images, and quotes and just fun to work with. I played along with this week's CAS challenge-mint chocolate chip ice cream and came up with this Father's Day card. I'm laughing at myself, because I now have 2 of the 3 Father's Day cards I need but NO Mother's Day cards done yet (and, yes, Mother's Day comes before Father's Day!). It's the stamps, I've been inspired by the stamps...how could you not!

Then on Tuesday, Cath, posted this fabulous Moxie Fab, Tuesday Trigger and I came up with this card. Loved the tones of brown, texture, and the pop of color from that pillow!

Inked up one of the cute little bird houses with some markers, and then set it off with a red scalloped edge and a button!

I'm off for a fabulous scrapbooking over night with some girl friends and couldn't be more excited!!! I'm so giddy about the girl time and spending almost 24 hrs. straight, with no interruptions, getting caught up on my scrapping! EEEE! Hope you do something you really love this weekend! Hugs, Lisa

TGIF and Friends With Flair!

Here is post #2 for my what seems-to-be-normal, 3 POST Friday! I'll keep this one short and sweet! I was having some fun with my Scrapping collage stamps, UR(ect....), this week and decided to make a card. I'm in love with this color combo-bermuda bay, olive, razzleberry and chocolate chip! Oh, yeah, there's a touch of saffron in there too! I also {{{heart}}} the word fabulous, I just think it is soooo FABulous! So I used it here! Unity and Friends with Flair !!

I'm away from my stamp room again. My parents are visiting and sleeping down there, my craft room is my guest room when I have company. Good thing is, I got to clean it up a bit and now I can't wait to get back down there and stamp again. Thankfully I'll have Sunday afternoon to work on a few projects, since Tim is working. You came for the Unity card, didn't ya? Well here it is. I used this fabulous sketch from the 2 Sketches 4 You blog. I've seen them floating around for quite some time and have never done one. My dear friend, Kristin and I try to virtually stamp together once a week or so and this week she challenged us to pick a challenge we have never done before. That's why I took the time to work with this one. I used some fun October Afternoon dp along with the fun pin cuschion image and sentiment from the Oct. Now it's time for your Unity fix. I've got some new images to share today. The Oct.09 Store KOTM, arrived at my door step Tuesday (super speeding shipping from Limelight Papercraft!). Have you seen it? It's another great mix of images.

I used this week's color challenge to make this fun holiday card-mellow moss, kraft, and white. I feel like I need to add some sparkle, it just feels like it is missing something. I loved the layout, so I thought I'd share it anyway. I just replenished my kraft cs supply so I've been using it all week. Good thing these color challenges called for it! This one uses the sketch challenge and the colors from the color throw down blog. Dontcha dig those coffee cups?

Post #2: It's Friends With Flair Time!

I've got two beauties for you today! One uses images from the Sept. Customer KOTM and the other is from the Store KOTM! Seriously, you can't go wrong with either kit. Who am I kidding, you can't go wrong with any Unity stamps, can you? Did you love the releases from last week? I have two faves, the Sketchy Little Boy and Autumn Pals. What are yours? Okay, so on to my cards, that's why you're here, right?I used the Embellish online magazine color challenge for this one paired up with the cute little pumkin and sentiment from the customer KOTM. Don't you like I how I kept the stitching theme going-on the pumpkin, on my ribbon and on my background layer?
I couldn't resist using these flowers again this week. I loved that the pattern in the Early Bird dp by Cosmo Cricket was a perfect match! I added a little sponging and watercoloring to keep it feeling earthy! I have to tell you I am BFF's with my Stamp-a-majig. I don't think I will ever stamp with out it again. I was able to get perfect placement of the sentiment (only part of the whole stamp) in that tight little space. Want more Unity inspiration? It's a Two-fer for you today!!!!

I decided to just combine my posts today for you-Stamp Something and Friends With Flair! Why you ask, well, I used the same oh-so-awesome Unity September Store kit of the month. I've been using it all week and just love it!!! The cards all share this common theme, why not combine them all for the ease of your viewing pleasure. LOL! The Stamp Something Challenge this week is following along with our favorites, this week you have to use your favorite color combo.
This one was probably easier than the last few weeks, at least it was for me. I am really drawn to earthy tones, anything with dark brown, a shade of green (olive tones just rock!) and a shade of orange just calls my name! I pulled out one of my all-time FAVE SU paper packs (yes, it's retired, I'm sad to say) Hawaiian Papaya! Put Mercy's Tuesday sketch to work and created this beauty! Stamps are all from that Unity kit. Really, you ask? I don't see that word, like that. Ahhhh, my trusty markers and a good 'ol stampa-ma-jig came in handy so I could fit the one word sentiment just right on my circle. Clever, aren't I? Wanna see another card with that kit? How about 2 more?
This one I did for this week's featured Stamper challenge. How could I not honor the Ms. Shannan Tuebner? I cased this card of her's.
And here's one last one since I think I have decided to take the weekends off from blogging. We'll see how that goes for me and if you really miss me on the weekends, just let me know and we'll see if I can figure something out that will make us both happy. I {{{heart}}} this card,

Friends With Flair!!!

Yeah! for a short week. It's Friday again, already! I have a fun weekend planned with some great stamping friends. Becky Carafa is arriving at my house tonight and then we meet up with Crystal Birr and Kristin Moore in the morning for Stampin' Up! Regionals right here in Cincinnati!!! If you are going tomorrow morning, come find us. I know we would all love to meet more online stamping friends in the flesh!

I was soooo happy when Mandy at Limelight Paper Crafts got in the Bevy of Butterfly set. I got it a few months ago with my KOTM coupon from Unity, but now you can order it a Limelight!!! I whipped up two cards using these fabulously sweet butterflies.
And this one is a CASE from Becky. She made this card for a Fall to Layout sample and I was lucky enough to get it in the mail!!! I just love these papers by Cosmo Cricket, Early Bird.
Oh and I'll tell you again, Mandy has the Sept. Store KOTM too. Did yo see it on my post earlier this week? NO, well here it is again!
