Picket Fence Studios

Today is a great day. It's Friday AND it's RELEASE DAY for the August Picket Fence Studio Release

I am excited to share all the new goodies with you. I also wanted to let you all know this will be my last release with the PFS team. I have decided to step away and lighten my crafty load a bit. I am so honored to have been with this amazing company since the start two years ago. Nicole and Matt are beyond generous and I wish them continued success with their business. A big shout out to Lydia for keeping us all organized and being awesome. Thank-you.

So let's just in with the projects. First, is Frank. Oh, my, is he so stinking cute. Run, don't walk to pop this stamp set, So Franken Cute into your cart today. It's a fabulous add to your Halloween stash. I wanted to show you how easy his is to work with, despite his large size. I kept it simple with a tone on tone look. Avocado ink stamped on Lime  Green card stock. I stamped the sentiment with  Black Hybrid Ink and scattered on some of the new Creme de Menth sequins and pulled in a few black ones from Black Magic

Let's switch gears a bit and look at this fun shaker card I made with the new Song Bird stamp and Evergreen Stencil. I started with some distress water color card stock from Tim Holtz. I added some Pixi Spray to the back of the Evergreen Stencil, to hold it in place. With some Life Changing Blending Brushes, I gently added in my color with Festive Berries, Robins Egg, and Evergreen Bough. I placed the finished panel behind the circle acetate covered panel and added in a generous amount of the beautiful new Frozen Nutcracker sequins

I stamped the song. bird with RC Aqua ink and gave it a light water color, pulling the color towards the center of the image. I was careful not to use a lot of water. I did a little fussy cutting to cut him out and placed him over the sentiment from Song Bird

And finally from me today is my favorite from this release. I just adore the art work of this stamp and the darling girl with her furry pals. The stamp set is called Your Friend Dear. I used a Life Changing Blender Brush and mask of the image to add the blue sky and ground. I used my copics to color up the cuties and stamped the sentiment in black ink along the bottom. It makes me smile.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Happy shopping and hopping. Be sure to check out what the team has created with all the New Release products. So much good stuff.

Color Throwdown 606-Corgi Fun

Hello, Hello CTD fans! I have the honor of being your hostess for this week's colors. I hope you love the soft pretty summer pallet I picked for you- Peach, Aqua, and Kraft. That beach scene and bike are calling my name. Oh, what I wouldn't give for a little vitamin sea!

If you upload to a public gallery, please use keyword CTD606, and please use #ctd606 and #colorthrowdown on social media. When linking your card to the winky tool at the bottom of this post, please be sure to link to your specific card, not just the generic link to your blog. Finally, only paper creations are allowed. Complete rules cam be found in the sidebar if you're unsure of challenge guidelines or are new to our challenge blog. I cannot wait to see what you all create!

I was feeling playful with that bike being some inspiration, and for some reason I reached for this adorable set from Reverse Confetti. It's called Corgi Cuties. I colored him up and gave him a fun aqua colored ball.

I then tucked in a few clouds from the Cloudy Day Confetti CUTS

I created the background, sky, in peachy tones with some ink blending of Bellini ink. I splattered on some rust for added texture. The sentiment was stamped in Midnight ink along the top of the card base.

Reverse Confetti/ Release Day

How fun is this surprise Mini Release? The You Matter Stamp set  and You Matter Confetti Cut is available NOW!I really enjoyed coloring the human rainbow with this new stamp set, I shared two cards yesterday that I loved just as much as today's. So if you missed it, be sure to scroll down to see them.

This one started with some color washing of a tie-dye of colors. I used the stitched circle Confetti Cut from the You Matter die set. I stamped the sentiment with Midnight ink along the bottom and then decided it needed just a touch more of something. I am still obsessed with the Pointed Cover Panel, so I crossed my fingers it would turn out ok after all my watercoloring, die cutting, and sentiment stamping. Well. It was worth the gamble. I LOVE it.

I stamped up the hands and colored them in all different skin tones and then used the coordinating You Matter Confetti Cut to cut them out. I layered the finished panel behind the top panel and used some foam dimensionals to pop up the whole piece on my card base. I used the heart die to cut out a coordinating water colored heart from the leftover circle piece cut from my top panel.

How about another look at the sentiment and stitching details. This set is amazing and I hope you think so too. You Matter

Countdown to Confetti / Reverse Confetti Mini Release

Hello Fetti Fans! It's a special day today as we get to share some love with a surprise MINI release for August from Reverse Confetti!  It's a sweet new set called You Matter and we are thrilled to get it into your hands. Each of the design team members have two creations to share today and the release goes LIVE TOMORROW! Sweet, right?!

So let's jump  right in. I used the amazing focal image of the hands. I colored the hands in all the different skin tones. I used the matching You Matter Confetti Cuts to create the fun opening to help showcase the sentiment. The You Matter Confetti Cuts included a great large stitched circle. I combined that with the hands and used foam dimensionals to pop up the image.

I then used Midnight ink to stamp out the sentiment. I had a hard time choosing which one to use, they are all so good and have great meanings. I used Sand card stock in the background and added the finished layers to an Iced Aqua card base.

As I looked at the full You Matter stamp set, I couldn't help but focus on those hearts and the beautiful Love word die cut. So I alternated the heart images in Midnight ink and colored up the word LOVE in rainbow colors.

I paired it up with the More Love Less Hate sentiment. It was just a natural choice with the word love. We all need more love and less hate.
