TCP Septmember Release Blog Hop

Happy September Release from The Cat's Pajamas. All the new products are available in the  TCP Shop NOW!

We also have a fun Blog Hop for you giving you another dose of inspiration with all the fun, new products. You should have arrived here from the talented Christine Okken's blog. If not then you'll want to start at the beginning with Almas' Blog

First up is my card for the current TCP Tuesday Challenge. It's a color challenge this time and I loved working with the colors. I had yet to use the new Birds Die, so I made sure to for the hop today. I also added a sweet sentiment from the Boo Y'all Stamp set. I selectively inked up the sentiment and left off the "I" and hand wrote in the question mark.

Here's a closer look. I added the Clouds Border to my scene and along the bottom is the cool, Holiday Toppers cut ups.

Here is the color board and the inspiration photo.

I also wanted to play with the Fancy Flip Die and actually make a flip card. I was amazed at how easy this die is to work with. Alma has a great video showing all four card styles this die can do.
I made a monster card for you today. Along the top I added some Slime/Icicles die and used the Fancy Flip Frames for layering. On the outside is Frank from Eat Drink and Be Scary.

Inside I used the mummy from Brains I also inked up some of the elements from Vintage Halloween to fill in the empty spaces on the card. The web, spiders, and bats were perfect for the job.

I had a really hard time photographing how this card works. Here is a shot of it standing up, Frank is on  one side and the mummy is on the other. It's so fun!

I'll send you on your way now. The faaaaabulous Noelle McAdams is next.

Take a look at all the products I used on today's cards. I used most of the new products. It was a blast mixing and matching all the different stamps and dies. The Fancy Flip die is so fun to work with.

Happy shopping and hopping! Thanks for all the love this week.

TCP Final Sneaky Peek

**please scroll down for my Poppy Sketch card**

It's almost time for The Cat's pajamas Release.....tonight is the TCP Pajama Party over in the TCP Forum on SCS. We hope you'll join us. I have one more sneak peek for you before the BIG release tonight! I have one more sneaky peek card. It's another fabulous holiday stamp set, Joy To The World.

Nothing better than a trio of carolers. I stamped them on xpress it blending cardstock and colored them up with copics. I cut them out and popped them up onto a layering of the Fancy Flip Cut Ups and Fancy Flip Frames. I used the interactive die as a flat layer for my card. So that makes it a 5th way to use it. Awesome! I just trimmed off the bottom curve and trimmed off the edges.

I used the music notes included in the Joy to the World stamp set to add a subtle pattern to the kraft Fancy Flip Frame piece.  Along the top of my card, I added sweet white snowflakes from Snowflake Lacey Paper cut up and some enamel dots. I love the wintery feel it adds to the card. An Icing border along the bottom added the finishing touch!

Poppy Sketch 14- Monster Halloween

Another two  weeks have flown by. It's time for another fun sketch with the Poppy Sketch Challenge Blog.  There is another great sponsor this challenge, and it's Starving Artists Stamps . They have some of the cutest images to work with. I used the Halloween stamps.

I flipped the sketch and used the candy and sentiment to create some of the stripes from the sketch. I pieced up the cutie pie monster and added a twiney bow for the second element on the sketch.

Check out this week's challenge. I think you'll have fun with it. Then pop on over to the Poppy Sketches Challenge Blog to see more inspiration and the link up.

Have a great Monday!

Day 6-TCP Sneaky Peeks and Sweet Sunday Sketch 239

Moving right along. We have two more days until the BIG TCP release. We are switching gears a bit today and shifting to the Christmas holiday. I admit it, I wasn't quite ready....BUT......once I dug in I excited. It's never too early to begin preparing for the Holidays. I have to tell you, it was the sparkly icicles that really put me in the holiday spirit! So fun.

I used this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch for my card today and the new TCP stamp set called Big, Fat Holiday greetings. In place of the circle in the sketch, I pulled out the Fancy Flip die and Fancy Flip Frames to layer up a main panel for my sentiment.

I love the Slime/Icicles die, I've used it all week for slime and today I wanted to show you just how easily it transforms into icicles. I simply cut it from Silver Glimmer paper and wa-la! you have icicles. I added a ribbon tab, button and a duo of white snowflakes cut from the Snowflake Lace Paper cutup.

Here is the Sweet Sunday Sketch for you:

Come Play along: simply make a card with this layout and use the InLinkz button down at the very end of Karen's post to enter your card. The links will close on Friday at 10 PM (Mountain Time). Day 5-TCP Sneaky Peeks {Brains}

We're getting closer to release day for The Cat's Pajamas. Today's stamp set is soooo, so fun. I'm not a big zombie fan, I just don't get it, but I DO loooove this stamp set. It's called Brains! I used the awesome new Fancy Flip and Fancy Flip Frames. I used it to make an easel card here. It's amazing what this one die can do.

Here is a look at the card closed. It lays nice and flat making it easy for mailing.

I repeatedly stamped the mummy in grout gray ink on the Fancy Flip Frame and then stamped him once more onto x-press it blending cs, colored him up a bit with copics and cut him out. I then popped him up with some foam dots. A bit of black twine adds some more dimension to the card.

I can't get enough of the Slime/Icicles Die. I used it along the inside bottom of the frame and stamped the sentiment there, too. Super fun!
