Color Throwdown #508-Birthday Balloons

Hello there!  Lynn is our hostess for this week's Color Throwdown Challenge #508!  She chose some vibrant colors for all of us to create with this week. She found this inspiration photo full of bright colored flowers. I hope you'll like creating with the colors Purple, Green, Yellow and Red for this week's challenge and I hope they inspire you to create something special. We are using generic colors, so as long as you use the color values shown, you are all set! As always, please feel free to incorporate any neutrals that you need in your design as well!

If you upload to a public gallery, please use the keyword CTD508, and please use #ctd508 and #colorthrowdown on social media sites. Also, when linking up your card using the linky tool at the bottom of the post, please link to your specific post, not a generic link to your blog. All of the "rules" are in the right sidebar, please check them out if you are in doubt! One last detail to remember, no digital designs - only digital images that are printed off and colored will be allowed

These bright fun colors were perfect for this cheerful birthday card. The Scooter Balloons set from Lil' Inker Designs is so fun to create with. I stamped the scooter and then used the coordinating Scooter Balloons dies to cut it out. Then I finished off the image by stamping the balloons. I colored it up in the challenge colors with my copic markers.

I added in some sunny yellow with the Brushed Plaid stamp set along the bottom. I also tucked in some green mountain tops with the Stitched Chevron Border die. I finished off the scene with some clouds from the Rainbows and Clouds dies.

Check out the beautiful creations from the team this week! They are sure to inspire you, they always inspire me!! Have fun creating, we cannot wait to see what you come up with using these colors!

Picket Fence Studios-Beware of the Cat

Have you checked out Picket Fence Studios yet? Now is the time.....there is a fabulous  selection of Halloween stamps. I love how they can all be mixed and matched together, or used on their own. I had big plans to use a few different sets, but once dove in I decided to stick with just the Wicked Together stamp set.

I started with the Tangerine card stock and the Thanks & Hello Confetti Cuts to create the frame. I used a pencil to trace the outline of the window on the card base. I then stamped the word block stamp from the Wicked Together set in a light grey ink. I then added some bats in Midnight ink.

While I had the black ink out, I stamped the cat onto Premium Polar White card stock and the "beware of the cat" sentiment along the bottom of the Tangerine panel. I fussy cut the cat out and added it to the opening of the frame.

Reverse Confetti-Stock Your Stash

August is coming to a close and that means there is just a little more time to get in your cards for the Stock Your Stash Challenge over on the RC Blog. This month's challenge theme is Wedding!

I started my card with some Premium Polar White card stock and the Congrats Square Panel Confetti Cut. I finished the sentiment with the Congratulations stamp set in Stormy ink along the bottom panel. I decided to use this to create a flat shaker card (no foam dimension added, just some vellum and sequins). The sequins move a little, but it's a quick and easy way to add a fun element without all the extra bulk of a regular shaker card.

I stamped the hearts from Congratulations in Iced Aqua ink on a 4x4 square piece of Premium Polar White card stock and then added in a handful of coordination sequins.

We hope you'll play along. Come stamp with us and add a card or two to your stash.

PIcket Fence Studios-have a great day

I have my first official card to share with the talented  Picket Fence Studios  Design Team. I am thrilled to be joining the team. This was a new-to-me stamp company and the images are awesome. Go check them out and see for yourself.

I just love this sweet, happy little Sunshine Friends-Great Day image. I stamped her in copic friendly black ink and then colored it up with my Copic markers.

After I finished coloring, I did some fussy cutting and set it aside. I used the Stitched Mats-circles die from Lil' Inker Designs to create a window. I'm linking up to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge. It is a Back to School theme, so I used some lined notebook paper to tuck in the back ground and stamped the sentiment at the top. I just think this will make the sweetest little note for anyone. It's fun to make some one smile.

I hope you have a fabulous start to the weekend. I'm headed back home for my 25th High School Reunion. Should be a great time. See you all again  soon.

Color Throwdown 506-for my teacher

My kids went back to school today and I headed back to work with a day of teacher inservices. I am always sad when this day comes around, I hate to see summer end. The routines are nice, the early mornings and crazy schedules are not my favorite. In honor of the day and hosting this week's Color Throwdown Challenge, I made a card for a special teacher. I just adore the Honey Bear stamp set. I colored up the bear and the apples with my copics. I used the matching Honey Bear Confetti Cuts to cut it out.

I pulled in the office theme with the Iced Aqua panel cut with the Kindness Cards Confetti Cuts and the notebook top edge created with the Office Edges Confetti Cuts. I also tucked in the Dashed Line Tag Confetti Cut in Stone card stock. I stamped the sentiment in Peach ink along the right edge of the panel.

Surprise!! It's Jen's birthday and we are surprising her with a birthday blog hop to celebrate her big day! So, please join us for some birthday inspiration from the Reverse Confetti crew and be sure to stop by the RC Blog to send Jen your own birthday wishes!

I used the yummy cake image from Hey Sugar stamp set and then stamped out a row of them. I used my Copic markers to color them up and then added a touch of sparkle to each of the cake layers and candle. I used the Hey Sugar Confetti Cuts to cut out the candle. I stamped the sentiment from Birthday Wishes in Midnight ink

I framed up the birthday cakes and sentiment in the largest Scalloped Squares Confetti Cuts. I love the Premium Polar White card stock. It's so crisp and clean and it was the perfect way to say "Happy Birthday!" I hope you have a fabulous day Jen!

Reverse Confetti August Creative Hop

Happy Wednesday! It's the 8th and that means the Reverse Confetti Crew is getting creative. We are so excited to share our August Creative Hop showcasing some of the gorgeous pattern paper 6x6 packs Reverse Confetti has. I love them all.

I used two different patterns from two different paper packs and the Tall Triangles Confetti Cuts to create some fun mountains for my adventure scene.  The green pattern is from Cue The Confetti and the yellow pattern is from Paper Bliss. I used some distress ink to make the blue sky background and then adhered the paper mountains. I added a few clouds cut from Cloud White card stock and the Honey Bear Confetti Cuts.

Here is a look at the completed card. I water colored the images from Greatest Adventure. I added a few of the whimsical trees, too. I used the matching Greatest Adventure Confetti Cuts to cut them out quickly.

I cut a hill with some Lime Green card stock and the Edgers Confetti Cuts. I love making hills with this die. I stamped the sentiment along the bottom in Midnight ink

RC has some of the best treat packaging. Today I decided to add some trail mix to one of the Frosted Pillow Boxes. I wrapped it with the same papers I used for the mountains. I added a tag from Tag Duo in Sand card stock. I stamped a sentiment from With Love.
