Catered Crop {Seriously RED}

There is a fabulous new challenge up over on the Catered Crop Blog. It's all about the color red. There is a gorgeous inspiration board and a beautiful gallery to upload to. Here is my card. I was busy with my Lil' Inker Designs products making thank-you notes the other day. I decided to make an all red one with the Seriously Awesome stamp set and Seriously word die.

The sentiment was stamped onto a sweet little Pinking Edge Sentiment Flag die. Sweet, isn't it?!

I used the Quilted Stitched background die to emboss my card base. I think it looks FAB! Some red chevron paper and a pretty stitched red ribbon complete the look.

Go stop by Linda's Blog and come play along.

RC-April Color Challenge {You are the Best}

Welcome back for another fun post with some Reverse Confetti goodies.  It's our April Color Challenge.....AND I'm practicing my shaker card skills.

I'm so excited about how this card turned out. I have been so inspired lately by watercoloring (thinking about signing up for THIS class.....anyone want to do it with me?) and shaker cards. I combined them both here, today.

Here is the inspiration photo and color board. Isn't it goooorgeous??!!!!

I used my Tim Holtz Distress markers to brush on some color to my water color paper. I then used a water brush to "wash" out the color and give it a more realistic watercolor look. I hit it with my heat gun to dry and then used the All About You stamp set inked in black for my sentiment.
I used the Love Note Confetti Cut along with the Class Act Confetti Cut solid rectangle die to create my shaker box.

 I can't get enough of those sweet Petals 'n Posies, too. I used the Confetti Cut dies to cut a trio that accents the corner of the shaker element and added a pretty Beautiful Banner with a sentiment from Petals 'n Posies stamp set. (all links below)

Here is a close up of the sequins I used in my shaker card. Super cute from Pretty Pink Posh.

Check out all the ways you can combine these words!

RC-Basketball Thank-you's

March Madness is in full swing. Basketball is ALL that seems to be on my TV these days. My boys wrapped up their basketball  seasons the other week. I made this thank-you card for one of the coaches. I used The Deconstructed Sketch 142 for my layout.

I really love using words to creat a background. I chose the Reverse Confetti set, All About You, to make my customized circle. It's important to alternate your placement of your words when you do this. I love using my Stamp Press for this job. The lines and clear mount, help it go quickly.

I then added another "thank  you" sentiment over top with the Beautiful Banners stamp set and matching Confetti Cut die. I tucked in an orange basketball die I have in my stash. The banner pieces along the right side are from Tag Me. I tucked in a few enamel dots to finish it off.

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope your week is going well.
