H{ippity} Hop-2nd post of the day!

And, if you're here for some {ippity} you've found it! It's Monday, the first one of the New Year. My kids are back to school and the day is starting off right (at least I hope so, I've had this post done and scheduled for 3 days now! lol!-I'm thinking postive :) So our challenge this week is to use BUTTONS!!!! I {heart} buttons, so this was no challenge for me. I decided to finally put my {ippity} stamps on a layout. I've use this set, Life's Little Moments plenty of times, and while it makes great cards, it is a set more geared towards scrapbooking. I created this quick, clean and simple layout, adding fun accents to it with a variety of buttons.

It is a double page spread, so to complete the look for you, here's the right side of the layout. We took this trip a year and a half ago and I'm just glad to finally get it finished.
It was a great trip to visit Tim's aunt and uncle in Dallas. It was Nicholas's first air plane ride, we went the the aquarium (and Ryan held his nose the whole time-stinky!) and we had fun hanging out in their hot tub. Ahhhh, Happiness!

Just a little button happiness from me today! ETA: just to ease some of your worries.... the buttons were seperated into their individual colors for storage. they are just touching here for the photo. hehehe! Oh, and we're celebrating NO MORE diapers! Yep, the little guy at 2 1/2 yrs. old is using the potty and wearing big boy underwear!
And this makes me SO HAPPY! Thanks Jillibean for the awesome opportunity!

Ladies in the Limelight!

This week's sketch and product challenge with LIMELIGHT was one I have been looking forward to. It's all about BUTTONS!!!! You know that buttons are one of my favorite embellishments. There are lots of choices in the limelight store. The cool thing is, they coordinate with all of the Basic Grey papers. I just love that!!!! Plus they are super great colors that also work with any other papers you might have! I used the Off Beat Buttons with October Afternoon papers. Here's the sketch.

Papers are October Afternoon and buttons are the Off Beat Buttons (I've got three more packs of different buttons coming today ;) I just love this Unity stamp set, Something Within. The quotes are so inspirational! Pretty straight forward, I did move the buttons around a bit, but I still included three of them on my card.
