Color Throwdown 572-Wishing You All the Joys

Hi, everyone! It's time for a new challenge! Barbara is here with our colors for this week. Remember, we're using generic colors, so as long as you use the color values shown: Aqua, green, gold, and white you'll be good...the color police won't come after you--this is all about having fun! And, feel free to incorporate any other neutrals you need in your design, as well.

If you upload to a public gallery, please use the key words CTD572and please use #ctd572 and #colorthrowdown on social media sites. Also, when linking up your card using the linky tool at the bottom of the post, please link to your specific post, not a generic link to your blog--all of the "rules" are in the right sidebar, so check 'em out to be sure. Importantly, though, no digital designsonly digital images that are printed off and colored will be allowed. Totally digital designs will be removed from the link up.

If you have been around here long enough, you know I love to mix and match stamp sets, usually from the same company. I did that on today's card. I used lots of recently released goodies from Reverse Confetti. I am crushing on the  Snow Stars Cover Panel. I cut it from Avocado card stock and mounted it on a Premium Polar White card base.

I then decided to use the Square Window Tag Confetti Cuts to create the main image focal point. I framed it up in Iced Aqua card stock. I stamped the sentiment from Joys of the Season in Versamark and then heat embossed it in gold. I tied on some gold twine and finsihed it off with some colored images from Joyous Holiday stamp set. That mouse is just the sweetest!

Check out the beautiful creations from the team this week! They are sure to inspire you, they always inspire me!! Have fun creating, we can't wait to see what you come up with.

Color Throwdown #427-XOXO

Hi, everyone!   Lori is our hostess for this week’s Color Throwdown challenge.  The colors from this week's inspiration photo are mint green, pink, and aqua.  The colors are generic and it's fine if you want to add in other neutrals.

Once you’ve finished your card or other paper crafting project using the colors, add a direct link to your creation using the linky tool at the bottom of the post.  And, don’t forget to use the keyword CTD427 if you upload your project to an online gallery. You can use the keywords #ctd427 and #colorthrowdown if you upload to any social media sites (yes, we're on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter!).  All of the challenge "rules" are in the right sidebar in case you have any questions.

I did some stenciling in the background with some Pistachio ink from SU! and the Hearts Stencil from Reverse Confetti. I used more of the mint green and two shades of aqua (RC Aqua and Iced Aqua) for my XOXO die cuts. Gosh, I love the XOXO Hearts Confetti Cuts

I added in the pretty Piggy Bank pink with some hearts from the heart border included in the XOXO Hearts. Super cute, dontcha think?? and super easy....love that!

Before you head off to create, here’s some inspiration from our talented team to get you started.

Color Throwdown 415- PLS Kind of Day

Welcome Color Throwdown fans! It is Wednesday and that means it's time for a new color challenge. I love the fall feel of this one. I decided to pull out some Reverse Confetti coffee themed stamps and created this card for the challenge.

The colors from this week's inspiration photo are red, cream, brown, and green.  The colors are generic and it's fine if you want to add in other neutrals. You'll notice I added in some kraft.

Once you’ve finished your card or other paper crafting project using the colors, add a direct link to your creation using the linky tool at the bottom of the post.  And, don’t forget to use the keyword CTD415 if you upload your project to an online gallery. You can use the keywords #ctd415 and #colorthrowdown if you upload to any social media sites (yes, we're on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter!).  All of the challenge "rules" are in the right sidebar in case you have any questions.

I stamped the "pls" mug from Just Brew it in Chocolate ink and used the matching Just Brew It Confetti Cut to cut it out. I have been holding out for my first Pumpkin Spiced Latte, I think it's time to get one.  I added lots of layers on this one with a handful of Confetti Cut dies. In kraft I used the Stamped Note die, then I cut out a Rounded Rectangle Band Confetti Cut from chocolate card stock. I just love how all these products work seamlessly together. I finished off the layers with a Diagonal Stripe Pretty Panel. All of this was the perfect place to mount my coffee mug.

I couldn't help to pretty it up a bit with a gorgeous Blooms 'n Buds flower in red. I stamped the leaves with Avocado ink and the flower center with Tangerine ink. I used the Blooms 'n Buds Confetti Cuts to cut them out.

Color Throwdown 397-birthday wishes

Hi, everyone!  Lori is our  hostess for this week’s Color Throwdown challenge.  The colors from this week's inspiration photo are kraft, yellow, and green.  The colors are generic and it's fine if you want to add in other neutrals.

Once you’ve finished your card or other paper crafting project using the colors, add a direct link to your creation using the linky tool at the bottom of the post.  And, don’t forget to use the keyword CTD397 if you upload your project to an online gallery. You can use the keywords #ctd397 and #colorthrowdown if you upload to any social media sites (yes, we're on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter!).  All of the challenge "rules" are in the right sidebar of the CTD Blog in case you have any questions.

I pulled out my Reverse Confetti Boxes 'n Balloons Confetti Cuts and made this sweet birthday card with this week's colors. I did a little ink blending with my Distress inks-Lucky Clover, Twisted Citron and Mustard Seed. I added some clean water splatters and then a few drops of White Studio Calio Mr. Huey spray. I set that aside and cut out my balloons with the Boxes 'n Balloons Confetti Cuts

I added the dotted detail to the bottom of my balloons with the Celebrations stamp set with Field Day ink. I used a greeting from the same set for my sentiment and I white embossed it on a strip of black card stock. I wasn't quite sure how to add in the kraft color, so I kept it minimal with some kraft burlap twine and the mounted my main image panel on a piece of kraft cs. I used a scattering of sequins to finish off the details.
