day 5...MFT Teasers

I just adore à la mode day. These little cuties always make me smile.  The newest gals to join the line up are called: à la modes - On Safari; You Anchor Me.  I used thed You Anchor Me stamp set for today's card. She's just darling in her sailor's outfit and even a cute pair of Sperry's.

I used the Glory papers by Authentique, but picked some of the more not-so-patriotic patterns for my card. The layout was inspired by Jen's Deconstructing Sketch. I used the Circle Stax 1 & 2 Die-namcis to create the resting place for my à la mode.

She was stamped onto x-press blending card stock and colored with copics.

A few other fun details to point out are the other Die-namics I used today. There is that awesome anchor.....it's included in the SEA CHARMS DIE-NAMICS set. Love it! I added some Shimmer to it with a Sakura Gellly Roll pen. I tied it onto the satin ribbon with some of my favorite burlap twine (from The Ribbon Carousal).

There is also a strip of the the tiny PINKING EDGE DIE-NAMCIS. I just love this edge, It's fun to tuck behind any pattern paper to add just a little something extra.

AND, not to forget the sentiment....it was stamped onto a SENTIMENT STRIPS DIE-NAMICS.  I love that you get four great options with this one set. They are a perfect fit to many, many MFT sentiments.
