Set a Goal, Reach a Goal!

Setting goals is easy for me. I am always setting them for one thing or another, but I never seem to actually write them down. So often times these goals get put off and I don't actually achieve them. It is all innocent I tell ya, I don't mean to forget about them. For the month of April, I actually wrote down my crafting goals (thanks to Kristin and Erin). Once you write them down you are more accountable for them, at least that is how I feel about it. I set a goal to make 10 scrapbook pages this month and I DID IT! I was lucky and had a crop I attended where I finished 8 pages and then on the last day of the month I cranked out two more! This page was created with the sketch from this site, Valeries's sketches. This is an easy sketch to work with since it was created to be used with your 4x6 pictures. If you didn't want to crop your pictures down, you didn't have to.

I just adore the Fall Flowers paper pack. The colors in it are so pretty together. The base of my page is textured Saraha Sand cs. I used the slit punch to make the scallops on the strip of Olive flowers and actually sewed the two strips together. I should have used a darker thread (because you can't really see the white real well) but honestly I was being lazy and didn't want to take the time to re-thread the machine. The letters were cut using one of my Sizzix alphabet sets (Neoveau) with my Cuttlebug and the pumpkins were stamped with Brown Stazon onto the Rust flower paper with the Autumn Harvest set (I think that is the name of that set, it was in the fall mini last year). This page really came together quickly and I love the results. It feels great to reach this Goal. 10 pages down, another 10 to knock out this month. If I can do it again this month, I think I'll need to up it.

  1. Cute page!! I love the title. Good job on the goals and achieving them!! I didn't hit my goals for April but I am trying to "start over" for May. I love the photos of the little guy and thanks for the link for the sketches- I had to add it to my faves! ;)
