Color Throwdown 606-Corgi Fun

Hello, Hello CTD fans! I have the honor of being your hostess for this week's colors. I hope you love the soft pretty summer pallet I picked for you- Peach, Aqua, and Kraft. That beach scene and bike are calling my name. Oh, what I wouldn't give for a little vitamin sea!

I was feeling playful with that bike being some inspiration, and for some reason I reached for this adorable set from Reverse Confetti. It's called Corgi Cuties. I colored him up and gave him a fun aqua colored ball.

 I then tucked in a few clouds from the Cloudy Day Confetti CUTS

I created the background, sky, in peachy tones with some ink blending of Bellini ink. I splattered on some rust for added texture. The sentiment was stamped in Midnight ink along the top of the card base.

Reverse Confetti/ Release Day

How fun is this surprise Mini Release? The You Matter Stamp set  and You Matter Confetti Cut is available NOW!I really enjoyed coloring the human rainbow with this new stamp set, I shared two cards yesterday that I loved just as much as today's. So if you missed it, be sure to scroll down to see them. 

This one started with some color washing of a tie-dye of colors. I used the stitched circle Confetti Cut from the You Matter die set. I stamped the sentiment with Midnight ink along the bottom and then decided it needed just a touch more of something. I am still obsessed with the Pointed Cover Panel, so I crossed my fingers it would turn out ok after all my watercoloring, die cutting, and sentiment stamping. Well. It was worth the gamble. I LOVE it. 

 

I stamped up the hands and colored them in all different skin tones and then used the coordinating You Matter Confetti Cut to cut them out. I layered the finished panel behind the top panel and used some foam dimensionals to pop up the whole piece on my card base. I used the heart die to cut out a coordinating water colored heart from the leftover circle piece cut from my top panel. 

How about another look at the sentiment and stitching details. This set is amazing and I hope you think so too. You Matter.

Countdown to Confetti / Reverse Confetti Mini Release

Hello Fetti Fans! It's a special day today as we get to share some love with a surprise MINI release for August from Reverse Confetti!  It's a sweet new set called You Matter and we are thrilled to get it into your hands. Each of the design team members have two creations to share today and the release goes LIVE TOMORROW! Sweet, right?!

So let's jump  right in. I used the amazing focal image of the hands. I colored the hands in all the different skin tones. I used the matching You Matter Confetti Cuts to create the fun opening to help showcase the sentiment. The You Matter Confetti Cuts included a great large stitched circle. I combined that with the hands and used foam dimensionals to pop up the image. 

I then used Midnight ink to stamp out the sentiment. I had a hard time choosing which one to use, they are all so good and have great meanings. I used Sand card stock in the background and added the finished layers to an Iced Aqua card base. 

As I looked at the full You Matter stamp set, I couldn't help but focus on those hearts and the beautiful Love word die cut. So I alternated the heart images in Midnight ink and colored up the word LOVE in rainbow colors. 

I paired it up with the More Love Less Hate sentiment. It was just a natural choice with the word love. We all need more love and less hate.

Color Throwdown no. 604 Thanks

Welcome to this week's Color Throwdown Challenge, everyone!  Amy id here as this week's hostess of a very neutral color combination - black, white and terracotta. I did a bit of google-ing to find that terracotta means baked earth and is also used as a color word to describe its orange-brown color. I hope you enjoy the colors and find a bit of inspiration from the photo above.

 I know, you have seen me use this amazing set from Reverse Confetti many times, but I wanted to change it up a bit today. So I used the Multi-step Cacti to create a fun and trendy background, using the challenge colors. I then took a bold step and used the Pointed Cover Panel to add some amazing texture to the card base. 

I LOVE how it turned out. I added a strip of Midnight card stock along the left side and then cut the sentiment with the Thanks & Hello Confetti Cut.

Color Throwdown

Hi, y'all!  Broni is our hostess for this week's CTD challenge.  She chose a bright, fun color palette for us to play with this week. The generic colors are Yellow, Orange, and Green.  Don't you love those yellow roller skates? I just had to recreate them, thanks to the Rollin set from Reverse Confetti.

I pulled out an older RC stamp set, Rollin' for the awesome roller skate image. I stamped it twice and colored them both up with Copics and used the Rollin' Confetti Cuts to cut them both out and I layered them up to make the pair. 

I am addicted to the This Says it All sentiment set. I stamped it in Midnight ink and used some copics to add some color to those outlined letters. 

I added a strip of Sweet Stripes along the bottom and added all these bold bright colors over top of some sweet Cloudy Day Cover Panel.

Color Throwdown

Hi, everyone! It's time for a new challenge! Barbara is our hostess for this week's  colors for this week. Remember, we're using generic colors, so as long as you use the color values shown: blue, green, peach, and metallic gold you'll be good...the color police won't come after you--this is all about having fun! And, feel free to incorporate any other neutrals you need in your design, as well.

I used a brand new stencil just released from Picket Fence Studios. I used the challenge colors and a Life Changing Blender brush to add in all the pretty colors. The release is full of fall and Christmas stamps but I wanted to ink up this new Shading Flower Stencil. It's a beautiful image and makes beautiful cards. I have two cards, one with bright cheerful colors and another one monochromatic . 

 I inked up the flower with Salty Ocean, Dried Marigold, and Mowed Lawn Distress inks. I used post-it notes to cover up areas I didn't want to transfer other colors to. The Life Changing Blender Brushes make the ink blending easy and quick. Once the ink was dry, I added a sentiment from More Fancy Sentiments with Intense Black Ink. 

I added some gold splatter with Golden Rose Paper Glaze. I added a bit of water to thin it out and then flicked it on to my card base with a paint brush. I finished it off with a little more shimmer thanks to Spiced Cider Sequin Mix.

Picket Fence Studios July Relase

It's time to get excited! We are celebrating the July Release from Picket Fence Studios. Woohoo! It's Christmas in July, and a little bit of Halloween thrown in too. You know in the crafting world, we try to plan and work WAY ahead. You can check out all the new goodies HERE. But before you head off to shop, make sure you check out what the team is sharing today. 

Let's kick things off here with this awesome new background stamp called Autumn Harvest Collage. It's so cool and I used my Polychromos to color it up. BUT before I colored it, I had to stamp it twice to cover my kraft panel in Intense Black Ink. These repeating background images are really easy to work with and line up. Have you tried on yet? I decided to not add a sentiment and so I could use this card for any occasion this fall. 

UP next is my favorite card from I created for this release. It was a bit of a labor of love and it was so worth it. I started by stamping this trio of Santas  from Baby It's Cold Outside onto a card base and then creating a mask for them to keep them clean and ink free for my background. 

Once my mask was in place, I picked up a Life Changing Blender Brush and the new Brocade Stencil and the new Speckled Egg Distress and Dusty Concord Oxide inks. I lightly applied the ink and created this lovely detailed background with little effort. I peeled off the mask from the Santas and then colored them up with my Copics. I finished the card off a sentiment from Baby It's Color Outside along the top. It's a one layer card and I love it. Hope you do too. 

Speaking of stencils...this is another new one and it's way cool. I created another one layer card with the help of some post it notes (to cover up areas where I didn't want ink mixing in) and the tiny little Life Changing Blender Brushes. And you didn't think you needed that size?? They are perfect for these intricate stencils and getting ink into small areas. This stencil is called Candlelight Stencil. 

I tucked in a sentiment from Inside Quotes-Christmas in the upper corner and added a touch of chunky glitter to the berries and flames. Simple and pretty. Thanks for stopping by today. Happy hopping and happy shopping!
