I am not usually the type of person who gets overwhelmed or stressed. My DH does enough of this for the both of us, LOL! I am a pretty laid back and go-with-the-flow type of gal. Okay, don't laugh at me, but my feelings of being overwhelmed are stamp related. Do you ever feel like there is TOO much going on in the stamping world all at once and you are trying to do it ALL and you can't? YIKES! I love new releases and challenges and birthday/blogaversaries, but I feel like my mojo is suffering. I know I don't have to all these challenges, but they are fun and I like to be a part of the celebration. I guess I should just take a step back and breath. Stamping is supposed to be fun and it is my stress release, it shouldn't be causing my stress. Plus, there are way MORE important things in Life (gasp! I know, did I really just say that? LOL!). Okay, enough rambling. I do have a fabulously CAS scrapbook page to share with you. Thanks to Jennifer Buck and her awesome CAS sketches, I've been keeping up or better yet, catching up on some pages. 
I also used the Unity Birthday Celebration Challenge Day #1-baja, ruby red, saffron and kraft color combo for this layout. Here's the linky to the sketch. I love it and plan to do the same page for my middle guy's preshool photo just with different colors and papers. Have a great day! Hugs, Lisa

I know!! I try to do the ones that inspire me or (like you said) the mojo goes out the window!! Thanks for sharing her site- I am loving the sketches and hopefully one day I can play along (if the mojo allows-lol). I love this page and the arrow in the corner is the perfect accent!

I know how u feel! I just joined unity not too long ago.. and I lose sleep wondering if I'll be able to do all the challenges, and take part in Hip hop etc.. yikes! It can be overwhelming.. I know ... big hugs!!!

I'm not surprised that you feel overwhelmed as every day when I visit your blog I think, how in the heck does she get all this done and still have kiddos at home?! This is an adorable page! And don't worry - we all have those days/weeks when we're overwhelmed. I'm having one right now! I'm determined to take a day off from stamping and housework etc next week to recharge my batteries. Remember to breathe!
ReplyDeleteI enjoy all your creations, Lisa! I just had this exact conversation with another blog friend---I just feel like I am spending more time on the computer looking at challenges instead of having fun stamping! Just focus on the ones you love the most!
