Hey, y’all! It's time for a brand new challenge for the Color Throwdown! Broni is our hostess for this week. I love the colors she picked this week. Remember, we're using generic colors, so as long as you use the color values shown: Lime, Navy blue, and Green you'll be good. And it’s fine to use additional neutral colors as well.
If you upload to a public gallery, please use the key words CTD513, and please use #ctd513 and #colorthrowdown on social media sites. Also, when linking up your card using the linky tool at the bottom of the post, please link to your specific post, and not a generic link to your blog--all of the "rules" are in the right sidebar, so check them out to be sure. It’s also important to use no digital designs, only digital images that are printed off and colored will be allowed. Totally digital designs will be removed from the link up.
When I saw the Navy and the greens I knew right away I wanted to color up Frank from Frightening Friends and I knew I wanted to create a night sky. I kept it simple and added white ink splatters to Navy card stock and then added some silver Nuevo Drops all over. It's an easy way to add a starry effect to dark card stock.
here's a closer look at the sky details.
I colored Frank with copics and and added the tree and moon and clouds from Frightening Friends using the Frightening Friends Confetti Cuts to cut out all the pieces in a snap. The grassy hill top was created with the die from Nuts About You Confetti Cuts and some Lime Green card stock. I stamped the sentiment in a darker green, Avocado ink. All products used on today's card are from Reverse Confetti.
