Reverse Confetti-Crazy For Christmas

Hello! I hope you have enjoyed the past few days with the Reverse Confetti crew and all our holiday goodie ideas. We have one more post for you today and we are focusing on home decor. 

I love my little holiday pillow I made. I am far from a seamstress, but I had fun making this project. It required a little sewing, some felt, a couple of Reverse Confetti Confetti Cuts, liquid adhesive, and some polyfill. It's a little knick knack pillow to set on a shelf or mantel. I enjoy clustering little holiday decor pieces and this will fit in nicely with what I already have on hand. It is approximately 4x6 in size. 

I cut two pieces of the linen fabric and sewed together three of the sides, inside out. I continued to sew up the fourth side but left an opening to add the polyfill. I then flipped the fabric right side out and filled it up with polyfil. I had no idea how to sew that hole close, so I simply used some scor-tape to secure the opening shut. It's fine, the pillow is just sitting on a mantel. You can't even tell. I then cut three of the "merry" from Winter Word Coordinates. 

While I love the newest Snowflake Trio Confetti Cuts, I just adore the Let It Snow flakes. The shape is so fun. I used liquid adhesive to adhere all the felt pieces and then added a dolop of glue to the snowflake centers and dropped in a few clear seadbeads for a sparkly touch!  Here is a close up.

Crazy For Christmas- Lil' Gifties

We are back with the Crazy for Christmas feature from Reverse Confetti. The fun kicked off yesterday. Make sure you stop the RC Blog to see all the goodness! We hope to inspire you to do some fun and creative things with your crafting supplies this holiday season. It's no better time to jazz up a gift with your homemade touch on it. Today we are featuring Lil' Gifties!

I gift A LOT of gift cards during the holiday. Teachers love them, teens love them, I love them. So I am always trying to find a fun and cute way to gift them. Well, the Gift Card Holder Tag is the coolest die for this. It looks great cut with cardstock or pattern paper, but today I kicked it up a knotch on the Handmade scale and used some pretty felt and added some stitching. I have two for you today in different color combos, one traditional and the other in a soft and pretty combo. 

 For each one, I cut the large tag base twice. I then cut the rounded rectangle die and added a zig zag stitch to hold the felt layer in place. I then used the slit die included in the set to cut through both layers of the gift card.

 This is ok, because you will be adding a strong adhesive (I used some Scor-tape) on the backside of the layered felt tag and then adhering it to the second large tag base. Like in this photo. The olive felt layer will still create the pocket to hold the Gift Card and the solid large tag will hid the backside of the stitching.  Embellish as you wish. 

On this one, I added two Cloud White Snowflake Trio Confetti Cuts. I topped them with a clear sparkle sequin. 

I also added a tag to the top with some ribbon and solid twine. I used the new Tall Tag Trio Confetti Cuts and cut it from the pretty candy cane striped paper from Very Merry 6x6 paper. I stamped the sentiment from Seasonal Sentiments. This photo also shows how the gift card slips right into that pocket. 

My next Gift Card Holder Tag was cut the same way I did the first one and stitched on the rounded rectangle panel. I love this color combo. It's so soft and pretty.

 It was a perfect excuse to cut the Holly Confetti Cuts with the Warm Hearts plaid paper. I added a banner from Flowers For Mom in my favorite Mist card stock and then stamped a greeting from Jolly Holiday.

I pulled out some simple Reverse Confetti products for today's card. I love the faith based stamps and I used My Heart Trusts on this one. I used the Woodgrain Confetti Cuts and and inlaid a heart from Love Notes Confetti Cuts. I couldn't resist adding the sweet pine tree from Merry Christmoose stamp set. I stamped it onto the teal paper from Very Merry 6x6 paper pack and fussy cut it. I popped it up with some foam dimensions and then tied on a piece of Natural Solid Twine along the bottom.

25 Days of Christmas Tags-LID

 Welcome friends! Excited to be a part of Tracey McNeely's 25 Days of Christmas Tags event.

 I am fortunate enough to get to post with two different teams. Today I am featuring a tag with the gang from Lil' Inker Designs! The Rustic Christmas stamp set is still on my desk so I put it to use on my tag today. LOVE that pine branch. I stamped it in two color inks, Lime Green and Avocado by RC.

I used the Dotted Tags Dies for my base. I colored up the holly with my copics and then added some clear chunky glitter for a bit of sparkle. I used the Rustic Christmas Dies to cut it out.  I love the sweet, simple sentiment. I tied on some Ripe Avocado stitched ribbon and some red twine.

Color Throwdown #418-harvest

Hi everyone!  Happy Wednesday! Lynn is here with you today as the host for this week's Color Throwdown Challenge, CTD418!  The colors from this week's inspiration photo are Orange, Rust, Teal & Copper(either metallic or a color close to copper) but keep in mind that the colors are generic, and it's fine if you want to add in other neutrals!

Once you’ve finished your card or other paper crafting project using the colors, add a direct link to your creation using the linky tool at the bottom of the post.  And, don’t forget to use the keyword CTD418 if you upload your project to an online gallery. For today I used a new set from Lil' Inker Designs, Rustic Christmas. It was my favorite from last month's release and I was excited to show you the versatility of the stamp set. It is a holiday set, but I used it in a more general way today. I stamped the truck and colored it up with my copics. I used the Rustic Christmas Dies to cut it out. In the background I stamped a forest of trees in some fun colors by Reverse Confetti, RC Aqua, Iced Aqua, and Tangerine. The sentiment is from the Reap A Harvest stamp set and I did that in a copper ink, so there is a little shimmer to it. It's all stamped and mounted onto a Silly Stitched rectangle.
