WSC on Wendesday!

I made it, I made it!!! Feels good to be working ahead for once. LOL! here's this week's My Favorite Things WSC sketch.  You're gonna love it!

I decided to ink up one of the new à la modes from last week, You Mean the World To Me. She's keepin' it green.  Plus I got to use one of my fave wooden buttons with the yummy MFT Twinery Twine! Seriously, LOOOOVE this stuff! I can't decide which is my favorite color, but I'm sure loving them all. I used PeaPod here, sticking with the greens! Three different die-namics were used here today, too. Can you name them????
Okay, I won't quiz you, I'll  just tell you.
The lovely papers are from Crate Paper, these are from their Emma's Shoppe collection.
Come play along. Check out all the details in the MFT forum AND you can see beautiful samples from the Challenge Team and some of the DT members over on Kim's Blog.
One more thing....exciting news......SALE!!!!

We've been spring cleaning here at MFT! We found a huge number of products that were limited edition, retired, or are retiring, and we have filled a big box full of our finds.

From Wednesday, March 23 though Friday, March 25, we are having a Spring Cleaning Sale. When you place ANY order that requires shipping, you will receive a freebie with your order. It could be a full spool of ribbon, a patterned paper pack, or any other item out of our Spring Cleaning Sale box. It'll be a suprise... a little extra reason to look forward to receiving your order. You have three days to take advantage of this fun sale, so get your wishlist together and shop HERE at the MFT Boutique.

*The Spring Cleaning Sale freebie is ONLY good for orders that require shipping. If your order is ONLY for digital products, you will NOT receive a freebie. We're sorry, but the shipping department cannot take requests for the freebie.

Queen Bee

I have to start by saying that I'm soooo excited to possibly have found the solution to my Janome problem.  I LOVE SCS for my first resource to getting questions answered.  I did a search for Janome Sewing Machine under tools and low and behold...Lori Craig had just asked for help last week with the SAME problem and dear, sweet KERRY, my fellow MFT DT sister,  posted a link to Jan Tink's blog with the answer (well, I hope it is the answer...I just didn't have time to fiddle with it last night!).  I might be bak in the sewing business again....which is great news cuz I'm going through withdrawl from stitching!  ☺

BUT I do have  this cute non-sewing card for you today. It uses the super cute, just released this month, set, Just Bee Yourself.  I used a Sweet Sunday Sketch, some cirlce nesties and a button with TWINE to do up the outside.  A little bit of Copic coloring the Fossil cs and some stickles glitter finished off her wings!

I then carried over most of the same elements to the inside. Paper is Little Girl by Echo Park.
Have a good one! See you tomorrow for my WSC card...Yes! I've got it done early.

{ippity} hop with a TWIST!

It is the final week of the March challenge with a Twist...be sure to get your creations posted by the end of the week so you have a chance at our GRAND PRIZE PACKAGE totaling over $70 worth of product! WOWZA!
So it is our actual TWIST week and Eva has asked us to Hand Stitch on our cards.
I admit, I was a bit intimidated with this request, but a challenge is a challenge AND my machine is still broken or just not working (how do you know if your sewing machine has died???)
AND I've been secretly wanting  to try some French Knots.
(my friend Megan has done a great tutorial on HOW TO with these knots)

Plus, I had a great inspiration for my card, thanks to my Virtual Stamp day with my friend Kristin last Thursday (this sketch is from pg.131 of the SU catty and colors from the back inside cover).
Seems like I need LOTS of birthday cards lately. I used the beautiful sunshine image from
Quotes à la Happy
and (of course) my favorite, go-to sentiment set,
 How You Doin'?

I look forward to diving into the {ippity} gallery and seeing all your creations. Remember to use keywords, ippity and IHHTC3 when uploading.
Maria is up next. I'll meet you there.
Next Blog
Don't forget to stop back to the ippity blog for the list of chicks that are joining us today.

AND if you need a little more ippity, there is a quick post from the LISA'S on Unity today!

Enjoy your Monday.

FWF...same set different card

I still had this beautiful set sitting on my desk from last week....although it was burried from all my other weekly card making. lol! So before I put it away, I decided to whip up another card with it. Insightful Meadows....it's beautiful and I just love this sentiment. I used a layout from the SU catty (been using it a long for inspiration, lately) and papers are from the Hattie paper pack by My Mind's Eye-Stella & Rose!
Layered sentiment was created with the MFT Sweet Stack Lables die-namics that was just released this month. Can't wait to see what everyone else has created for today. It's Friends With Flair day over on the Unity blog.  Find the blinkie, hidden on someone's blog, and win a Great Prize! Here's the list of players!
Did you get your ship notice for the March KOTM??? Mine came yesterday.....if you're not a subscriber, what are you waiting for? It's such a great deal and each month is fab!

Virtual stamping!

It's about time!!!! One of my dear friends that I've met through stamping and Stampin' Up! is Kristin Moore. We met through a swap group, roomed together at an SU Convention, and have gotten together a few other times since.  With our busy schedules and different stamping agendas these days, it's been hard to coordinate some time together.  BUT today we made it happen and it was so fun! We each came up with a challenge (using the SU catty as inspiration), made a card, then swapped challenges.  We still a  little time left before our kids got home from school and she offered up an inspiration photo while I added in a  few required elements for a third challenge.
Here's 2 of the 3 cards I did today.  You'll see my 3rd one on Monday, as I decided to work ahead on some DT obligations.....it's my ippity challenge card  for Monday!
Here's the card from the sketch and color combo I picked.
I used the sketch from pg.89 of the SU catty and the color combo from that same page.  I need a good solid boy card  for a birthday this weekend and used my MFT stamps to make this fun card.
MFT Products used:
Say What stamp and die
Sassy & Sweet stamp set
and on the inside I added more of that leopard print with the Sweet Stack Lables die. The HB sentiment is from the Loveosaurs set.
colors I used are: night of navy, cherry cobbler, baja breeze, basic grey and some crumbcake.

Here's the inspiration photo for our last challenge.
Gotta love a pretty peacock and it was perfect for putting my glimmer mists into action.  I cut some x-press blending cs into a circle then sprayed it with two different shades of glimmer mist. After it was dry (sped up with my heat gun), I stamped the cage and bird, from Inspired by Caged Bird stamp set,  in momento black ink.  My two required elements were dry embossing and circles. It might be hard to see, but my smaller circles were dry embossed with some embossing folders.
See my scallopy border on the left of the giant circle??? I used the dizzy border die-namic (currently out of stock...check back soon to order it) to create that. Simply cut the border strip in half, then snip it every so often, adhering it to the backside of the circle, lining up the edges and leaving just  a little bit peeking out. It's all distressed with some Walnut Stain ink. The beautiful ribbon is a gift from Eva....she made this ribbon and I just LOVE the colors. Papers are Crate Paper, Portrait collection.

That's it for today. If you feel inspired to join in on the fun, feel free to create something and add your link in your comment. We'd love to see what you came up with. Enjoy the rest of the day.

Make it Monday, PTI and Jillibean!

I think you can tell, I have really enjoyed the new feature over on the Papertrey ink blog.

Dontcha just love those bikes.....and the pretty spring colors?!!!! Ahhhhh, just what I needed this week.

a little late, but here's my WSC card!

It's been a busy day around these parts, good busy, but busy! I've had my card finished and just needed to be photog'd.  SPRING is here this week so I was in the mood for a little swing action.  PLUS did you hear the news???? Some of our beloved Pure Innocence stamps are now available in Cling Rubber! This is one of 4 images available, Start Your Day with Wheeee!

I used this week's sketch (check out the details....you can win some MFT dollars!) and my new Jillibean Soup designer papers.
For the card front, I added just the word "wheee!" onto a fun little speech bubble (SayWhat die-namic) and then decided to finish off the inside with the rest of the quote along with more die-namics-flat bottom clouds, sunshine, and button quartet (love using this die on the inside of cards. allows you to still add buttons but without the extra bulk!).
See the challenge details and lots of beautiful creations over in the MFT forum. Thanks for stopping by!
