Every once in a great while I get to do a Friendly Challenge with my friends Jackie and Becky. We like to keep it simple and it's just for fun. Becky challenged us to include some kind of diagonal element to a card. I used a bold color combo-Bermuda Bay, Soft Navy, and Lemon Drop card stocks.
I am playing along with the new Challenge blog, called The Cutting Edge. ummmmm, it's a challenge blog dedicated to DIE CUTS!!! I think I use dies on almost all of my cards. I was inspired by Amy's card, the bottom left one. I'd love to be a guest designer, so I'm throwing my hat into the ring. So fun!
I needed a little WOW! factor, so I accented the sentiment with more star dies from Oh, My Stars in silver glitter paper. Wondering where that sweet little outline star image came from? I used the cut and re-cut method. I first used the negative star from the border die (cut from silver glitter paper) and then lined up the small star die on top of it. I then ran it through my Vagabond again to cut it out. love it! A few enamel dots completed the look.
Be sure to stop by Becky's Blog and then Jackie's Blog to see how they used the diagonal on their cards.
LOVE the color combo, wow! The smattering of glitter stars is perfect. Great job with the challenge, my friend!
