I tried my hand at some faux hand painting by using stamps. I created a pretty floral arrangement by coloring my Petals 'n Posies stamps with my Distress Markers, stamping each image, and then going in with a detail paint brush and water, I soften the lines and add more color and depth.
It was a slow process and I find I don't always have the patience it takes to water color. Waiting for each color layer to dry is HARD for me. I like to speed things up with my heat gun.
Here is a closer look at some of the details. I used the newly released You Make Me Smile stamp set for my sentiment. I used Walnut Stain distress ink and then spritzed it with some water to give it a watercolored look.
I added touches of pretty with a tiny scalloped layer from the Double Edge Scallop border Confetti Cut. I added some color splatters with my paint brush and tiny sequins for the finishing touches.
