I cut out a Insert it-3x4 Die-namics and stamped a custom calendar for the month of August thanks to Document it-Calendar Basics and it's complimentary stamp set Days and Dates.
Some other fun details I tucked in on the 4x6 insert. I cut down some Natural cs to add all the details to. The new MOD BORDERS stamp set is a must have! These trendy shapes in the form of borders are perfect for sooo many occasions and projects. I added the words "school days" with from two stamp sets-Typewriter alphabet and Journal it-Playlist. A few staples fit the school theme perfectly.
I can't believe I have all three of my boys in school together. Little man started Kindergarten this year (I have a full scrapbook layout just for that coming up!) and it was so fun to all walk down to the bus together. I added a "time flies" tag easily with the help of the BLUEPRINTS2 DIE-NAMICS. The words are from the Days and Dates stamp set.
Here's another look at the completed insert.
Now let me show you this new Die-namcis-STORY TITLES. It looks so cool and it's like magic when you use it with the Insert it-3x4 insert Die-namics.
I love when there are products that work together. This one is brilliant and every time I use it, I am giddy with the results. Let me show you.
- These are the pieces you'll need-Insert It 3x4 Die-namcis, Kraft cs, and STORY TITLES. I already have the Kraft insert cut out.
- Next, line up the STORY TITLES DIE-NAMICS along the long edge of the 3x4 insert die cut. Run it through your die cut machine. I get best results if I am running it through long-ways (so from first letter of the word, to last letter), so you get even pressure for each letter, individually.
- This is what you get after you cut it. Simply pull off the negative piece of the die and Wa-la!!! it's magic, I tell you, magic! I love the look.
Here is another look at the finished insert I created. After I cut the insert, I sponged some Hot Fudge ink along the top of the word, "memories". I added some journal lines from For the Record, some MOD BORDERS in FACTORY GREEN INK and a pretty Electric Red arrow from Right This Way. Captured Memories stamp set has a "favorite Photo" sentiment.....LOVE that!
Here are my journaling inserts. I cut one 3x4 insert and added another STORY TITLES and some MOD BORDERS. I add some hand written bullet points of the week. It was ONE BUSY week....school started, I had our hardwood floors re-finished, AND we got our new puppy! Yep, all in the same week!
The insert on the right is a Notebook Insert and I added a File Tab Die-namics, attached with a few red baby braddies. I love the Right This Way stamp set. Arrows are always on Trend!
Last I'll share a fun picture of the boys. This one just makes me giggle. They were soooo NOT enthused about carrying their supplies in on Meet the Teacher day. Their faces are priceless!
I used a strip of Electric Red cs cut with the stitched strip from BLUEPRINTS2 to help highlight a stamp from Captured Memories. Factory Green ink is soooo yummy!

One of the coolest new Die-namics is the ACCENT IT-REEL LIFE. That view finder is tooo cool and fun to tuck in with lots of cards and pages. I used it here, cut in FACTORY GREEN CS to make a boy's birthday card.
I found another new color combo with MFT colors-Hot Fudge, Factory Green, Orange Fizz, and a touch of Blu Raspberry!
I cut another 3x4 Insert Die-namics and stamped the Document it- HELLO MY NAME IS stamp set with the new SMOOTH WHITE cs. I used the new HOT FUDGE premium dye ink for the large stamp. I pulled out the BIRTHDAY SENTIMENTS for the "birthday boy" sentiment. I stamped that in Factory Green ink and added a few stampy accents in Orange Fizz and Blu Raspberry. The stars are included in the HELLO MY NAME IS stamp set and the arrows are from MOD BORDERS.
Check out the REEL LIFE Die-namics. I cut a small star from Star Stax and added more MOD BORDERS to it, and topped it with an Orange Fizz button with Hemp Twine. Since the whole card was distressed, I also crumpled up the view finder and sponged on some Kraft ink to it's edges. That's Factory Green cs, in case you were wondering ;)
I needed one more element to help balance the look and feel of the card. I cut a kraft Notebook Insert, used For the Record to add journaling lines and then stamped lots of words from EXPAND YOUR VIEW and BIRTHDAY SENTIMENTS.
I love using the card as the gift wrapping. Gift cards are THE gift for all my boys friends right now. So the Gift Card Pocket-horizontal Die-namics is always perfect to tuck on the inside of the card I used lots of the same stamps to simply embellish the inside.
Check out the poicket. More MOD BORDERS and the stars from HELLO MY NAME IS.
Check out the MFT blog for the full list of who is playing along today. More great stuff from the MFT DT!
