I used one of the MINI BRACKET ALBUM STAX DIE-NAMICS to the backdrop. It's such a pretty shape. I recently picked up some sequins to add to my stash. I have been spying them in magazines and in blog land for awhile now, and I really like the look. Aren't they pretty?
-------------------------------------------
While I still had out the MINI BRACKET ALBUM STAX DIE-NAMICS I knew I also wanted to use it as a card base. I love making shaped cards. She's so cute and festive, so I paired a card with the new SCALLOP TREAT BOX and made a party ensemble.
I used Banana Split cs for my card base and added some pretty Sundrifter designer paper for a simple accent across the middle. Along the bottom, I added a Kraft scallop border cut from the largest of the OPEN SIMPLY SCALLOP TRIO DIE-NAMICS.
I cut a smaller layer of the MINI BRACKET ALBUM STAX from x-press blending cs, so I could stamp my CUPCAKE CUTIE directly onto the layer. After I colored her up I placed the white layer back into the die and used Sno Cone ink to sponge around the edges of the die. I love how this creates a white border, with the subtle shading just to the inside.
The stamp set includes a separate balloon image. I stamped it onto coordinating designer paper, cut it out and popped it up.
I then added a strip of Hemp Twine, so she could hold onto the floating balloon.
I wanted to add the pretty, scripty sentiment along the bottom of my stamped layer. I didn't want the words to go over top of her legs. So I created a little more room between each word, by cutting apart my stamp. Don't be afraid to do this. I think it gives you more freedom when stamping with words AND you don't have to worry about masking off when you want to use multiple colors. Here it was just spacing issue. Once I cut it apart, I was able to add the words right where I wanted them. I stamped it with MFT's Black Licorice Premium Dye ink. This ink is a dream for stamping sentiments. Perfect!
Here is a closer look at the fun box. I gave it to my niece this past weekend for her birthday. It was perfect to slip the gift card, right in to it.
I dressed up the box with a Kraft strip of the OPEN SIMPLY SCALLOP TRIO DIE-NAMICS, and a fun Party Banner. I also colored up the beautiful cupcake table stamp and cut it out to pop it up with dimensionals on the front of the box. I used a white gel pen to add some fun polka dots to the table cloth.
The finishing touches on this party box was a pennant. I cut one from the Jumbo Banner Day Stax Die-namics and stamped a sentiment from this month's Triple Scoop set, CHOCOLATE SENTIMENTS.
The newest Triple Scoop Reward set, Chocolate Sentiments. This stamp set is available FREE to customers purchasing $60 or more, exclusive of tax and shipping. Read more about the Triple Scoop Reward program HERE.
I used the new HOT FUDGE PREMIUM DYE INK.

While I love any chance I can get to create girly projects. You know in my house full of boys, I couldn't resist showing you how cute this CUPCAKE CUTIE stamp set can be on a boy card. Yes, I said, boy. It's all because of the cutie pie puppy stamp!
I pulled together a few other fun stamps and Die-namics to make this happen. The new BORDER IT-MOD BORDERS stamp set is a must have. They really are so versatile AND trendy and fun to use with all kids of projects. I used them to set my background here.
My card started with a FACTORY GREEN card base. Then I cut a SMOOTH WHITE layer to add over top. I used the new ORANGE FIZZ and FACTORY GREEN INKS and a touch of Blu Raspberry.
I then used the Insert it 3x4 Die-namics for my accent panel. I added a fun Notebook edge to the top and then added some journaling lines with the Journal It-For the Record stamp. I tied the whole notebook panel with some pretty orange bakers twine.
I added the "birthday boy" sentiment from BIRTHDAY SENTIMENTS, again, stamped in Blu Raspberry ink. Here a close up of the full panel. I just love it. I did add one extra arrow element from Right This Way stamp set with FACTORY GREEN INK.
The puppy was colored up with copic markers and I added a fun design to the balloon. It was easy to do by stamping a bit of triangles from MOD BORDERS in ORANGE FIZZ INK. I cut the puppy and balloon out and popped them up with foam dimensionals.
I needed just a little something else. So a few quick coordinating buttons did the job. One in Orange Fizz and another in FACTORY GREEN.
See....this set isn't just for girls!
