Thanks y'all! with Prismacolor Pencils

I am 38 today. Yep, it's my birthday. It's also my brother's birthday, and youngest son's birthdays. I always think that is pretty cool. I also know of three other people that share my birthday. It's a special day, for LOTS of reasons. :)

I actually had to call into work today, because I am home with 2 sick kids, one of which is the birthday boy. Poor guy! We'll survive and make sure we celebrate his special day when he is feeling better.
This gives me a little time to post something today :)

I worked on this card the other day when my new Prismacolored Pencils arrived. I really like how they look and they are so easy to work with.

I had yet to ink up this cute new ALM-cowgirl at heart. I decided to add her to last week's Deconstructed Sketch (although I didn't use an oval, I just cut her out in a rectangle shape).

I put my Fishtail Flag Stax and Fishtail Flag Stax Layers to work, cutting out a variety of sizes to follow the sketch. Love those two Die-namics.

I tied it up with my favorite Hemp Twine and added a Stax Stax and a Button with a Cotton Candy Button.

I also did up the inside, just a bit. Leaving lots of room for a sweet message. I layered up some Pink Lemonade card stock lined with some Hot Fudge and stamped another sentiment from the set. The stars, stamped in Pink Lemonade ink, are from Let's Toast!

This card is for all of you, my blog readers who stop by time and time again. Thanks for another great year and I look forward to spending another fun, crafty year with you .

  1. Super fun card- love the distressing and great work with the Prisma pencils. I have some of those put away somewhere - you make me want to drag those things out and try again (complete fail the first time around-lol). Happy Birthday and I hope everyone feels better soon.
