Here is the sketch to work with:
This was one of my favorite photos taken of the day. I decided to accent this one with the awesome INSERT IT-INSTAFRAME DIE-NAMICS cut from Natural card stock. I then used my favorite Laina Lamb stamp set, Captured Memories . I stamped the sentiment with MFT KRAFT ink and then added a few a row of the cut out hearts from the LAYERED HEARTS BORDER DIE-NAMICS.
My flags were created withs the FISHTAIL FLAGS STAX and FISHTAIL FLAGS LAYERS STAX. I don't think I could live with out those two Die-namics sets. I love having so many options for sizes.
Another STAX set I can't live without are my CIRCLE STAX 1 & 2. I used them to cut out my circle layers for the layout. On this one I added the beautiful rounded sentiment from BEHIND THE CAMERA and added a sweet, CUTE CAMERAS cut in Hot Fudge cs.
For the tab at the top of the layout, I cut one from the ACCENT IT-LABELS AND TABS and topped it with the smallest, HEART STAX heart.
I said I'd show you a bit of my scarpbooking process. So, here is how I worked this sketch. After figuring out what stamps and dies I wanted to use and once I had my pictures picked out, I go about laying everything out. I put it all the pieces in place and THEN go and tack them down. I used repositionable adhesive to my photos and foam dimensionals or liquid glue to my die cut and paper layers.
For this page, to create the banner look, I added the pictures down first.
Then I go ahead and add in my elements and embellies.
Next I add a thin strip of liquid glue along the top of my banner pieces and photos. It is hard to see in this photo, but it's there. You don't need alot, just a thin strip to hold your twine in place.
Next add a strip of cut twine. I used the pretty Buttercup Twine to bring out some yellow in my layout.
I find it easier to add the bows, last. So cut a bunch, tie them up and then add them where you think you need a bow accent.
Here is a close up of one of my bows added to the corner of my photo.
Here is another look at the bottom right corner of my page. I used the captured Memories stamp set again to add the journaling details of my page. Love those little ovals. They look great stamped in Kraft Ink.
I stamped the beautiful train image from INSPIRED BY TRAVEL onto a Natural cs circle. I added some subtle shading and coloring with a few Copics. To make it really stand out, I added it to the AWARD SEAL.
I cut my title from Hot Fudge card stock and added my words (from BY THE LETTERS DIE-NAMICS set) to two different Jumbo Banner pieces. This first one was added to the JUMBO BANNER Stax DIE-NAMICS.
For variety, I cut another banner piece from the JUMBO FISHTAIL BANNER STAX. I tucked in another sweet little heart for a pop of color and balance.
I really love how I can cut many letters all at one time. I line them all up on my platform of my Vagabond. Then lay the piece of card stock over top and then run it through.
With one swipe through your die cut machine, you can have one a title done, depending on how many letters are in your title.
I have two sets of this alphabet, so I was able to cut out both of my O's at once.
Thanks for stopping by today. Here is one more look at my completed layout. It sure makes me happy!
