Like the On the Move set...I'm sooo excited about the Sew Nifty set. There's something about a stamp set with matching die-namics. I've got two cards with that set today. This first one fits this month's Guest Designer contest.....did you check it out? You better...you don't have a chance at the awesome prize if you don't enter. The link to the details is up above. It's all about adding texture. I did that on this card with some MFT Felt, and wrapping my spool with some Twine.
The sketch is from Jen's ASFYTT from last month. I loved that giant cirlce and it set the stage for my card elements. The felt heart was cut with the Hearts A Plenty die-namic. I also love that you can add the spool detail with the matching stamp. Then I did this card up in a more clean and simple style. I cut the card a little narrower than the standard A2, so I could have the doily die-namic hang off the edge a bit. This way it will still fit in an envie.
I used one of the new dizzy doily duos (the larger one on the outside and the smaller one on the inside for my sentiment) to show off all the die-namics. I wrapped the dress form die with some real fabric and tied it up with twine. Sitcking with the sewing theme of the set, the Button Quartet was a must use die-namic. More twine dressed up those buttons.
Oh, and I almost forgot...the pretty little border sticking out from the flower paper is a new border...it's the solid bracket border and I really love the look of it. It's a nice change from scallops. Whip cream is my card base and the dress form is my fave, fossil!
Take a closer look at today's new die-namics I used:
That's all I've got today. Be sure to check out Kim's blog for a look at the full sets AND the list of bloggers today. More teasers tomorrow.
