Sparkling Holiday

It's no secret I am a fan of Jen's Deconstructing sketches. So when I sat down to make a few crafty things today, I pulled up the current sketch and got busy. Although, I have to admit that I strayed a bit. The overall inspiration for my card, came from this cool sketch. You can see it here and check out all the fabulous entries.....lots of amazing inspiration all in place.

I put some of my favorite MFT holiday stamps and Die-namics to work, as well. The papers are Handmade Holiday from Simple Stories.  That holly berry print matches MFT Paver Red and Jellybean Green  card stock perfectly.
I stamped the sentiment (from Seasonal Sentiments) in Cranberry Crisp ink onto MFT's Whip Cream cs. I added a few olive rhinestones to help set the sparkle theme.

In place of the giant circle from the sketch, I cut out a fabulous JUMBO SNOWFLAKE DIE-NAMICS in Paver Red cs. I covered the whole thing with liquid glue (mono multi is my go-to adhesive) and then gave it a big dousing of the Rock Candy Glitter by Tim Holtz.

I tied it up with a pretty cotton twill ribbon and gave a quick stitch around the border with my Janome sew mini. I rolled up and distressed the edges a bit for added interest on the card.

Thanks for stopping by today. I've got more goodies to share throughout the week.

Here's my Inlinz list. Happy Shopping!
