Today we are sharing what's next up from Laina Lamb. We have two new stamps and a few coordinating Die-namcis.  The Stamp sets are called:Journal It - Calendar Basics; Document It - Days and Dates
They are a perfect fit for all your scrapbooking needs, BUT you'll also see how easily you can squeeze them into your card making!!

I'm sharing another page out of my Project LIfe album. It's from week no. 6...the busiest and exciting  week in our house.  We celebrate 3 birthdays!!! I also added a few everyday photos, since I do a page to highlight each of the boys birthday's anyway.
Here is the full page. I'll break it down into some detail shots in a sec.

I used the PL version of this month's Scrapbook Sketch Challenge.  Did you know MFT is now hosting a Scrapbook Sketch Challenge??? You can read all about it here.

Here is the sketch:
I used the awesome new JOURNAL IT-CALENDAR BASICS to create a custom calendar to highlight which week of the year this is.  The stamp fits perfectly with the INSERT IT DIE-NAMICS (released last month).  If you don't have it yet....GET IT!!! I now have two, so I can quickly cut photos and other inserts to fit the 3x4 inserts perfectly.

Look at the cool red strips, the words and row of numbers I added....those are another new Die-namics called ACCENT IT-CALENDAR COMPONENTS.
It's cool that you also get three little doo-dads to go along with it. I used the heart in the upper left insert and the asterisck by the HIGH RISE NUMBER DIE-NAMICS ( it's also new this moth! ♥ those High Rise letters, this is a great compliment!!).

Speaking of the custom insert I made for the 4x6 upper left slot, I stamped some lovely DARLING DOTS and made a banner with the WAVY PENNANTS DIE-NAMICS and some red twine. The pinking, award circle was cut with the ACCENT IT-FLAGS AND TAGS DIE-NAMICS.  I also used that same Die-namics for my "coffee and lego" journal spot in the right photo.  The stars I stamped are from the Journal It-Top Ten stamp set.  All the red ink I stamped with is the new MFT Wild Cherry Ink! I stamped off once, to do the stars to get a more muted look.

I am really diggin' the ACCENT IT-STORY STARTERS.  Those negative space words are too fun. I love the "true story" one. I added it to my son's black eye photo with some brads (bottom left corner photo). He is 8 and fell out of bed, hitting his eye on the corner of his nightstand. Funny thing is (he was OK, that's why we can laugh about it) he has no recollection of any of it.  True Story!

I used the "one crazy stamp" to start another custom journaling insert in the middle. That is from the DOCUMENT IT-DAYS AND DATES stamp set. Very cool!

Hop on over to Kim's Blog for full details and a list of today's inspiration.

Here are the NEW  Die-namics I used on today's page.

  6. Great ideas for if I ever decide to do Project Life, which is so popular right now. (Sorry your little guy got a black eye, though. My 4yo got one last week playing chase through the house and ran right into a knob in the hallway.)
