Today I'll start with my beloved Fred. This month he is kicking things up KUNG FU style.
I knew last week's iSpy sketch challenge (darn it! missed the cut off, again! oh, well! I'm still loving the inspiration) was a great layout with this stamp set. I loved the split panel, helped me tie in the theme of stamp. I added a PINKING EDGE DIE-NAMCS down the middle.
You can see a close up of that here, along with a better look at the moves Fred is making.
I stamped the wood onto a scrap piece of X-Press Blending cs (my go-to choice for Copic coloring), colored it, and then cut it out. I glued them onto the edge of my main panel. Although the stamp comes with it's own "action" markings, I couldn't fit those on with the space I used to attach the wood, so I drew in my own. I can just hear the CRACK of the wood, can't you?
A big ol' "hi-ya" sentiment was added to a SAY WHAT speech bubble Die-namics. Makes for a nice and easy card to give to someone, just because!
I'm super excited to show off my next card. I just love how it turned out. It is the newest addition to the Inspired By series of stamps. This one is called, INSPIRED BY KNOWLEDGE. Perfect timing with the all the graduation and end of school projects you will have to work on.
I used my new FAVE, FISHTAIL FLAGS STAX DIE-NAMICS. I used three different sizes, layering up two of them and adding the sentiment to one of the skinnnier flags. I also used the new CIRCLE STAX 1 & 2. I really love combing the two sets, because the layering gives just a touch of a border behind the main panel.
I added some beautiful wooden buttons (by Pima) to help accent the gorgeous globe image from the set. I decided to keep it simple by not coloring it in. There is such great detail in the image, it can stand alone. Colored or not, it's gorgeous and so are the other images in the set.
Head on over to Kim's Blog to see all the Teaser Time details and the line up for today's samples.
