Be an MFT Guest Designer {and some Blog Candy}

Life is pretty good, right now. I am feeling a bit overwhelmed with ALL that is happening on the home front right now, but life is good. It's a good overwhelm and I know all will fall into place and be calm again. I think it's the season, you know, back to school, start of fall sports, change of season,  and then throw in some house guests, some re-finishing of wood floors, followed by a new puppy. Yeah, it's CRAZY busy-out-of the norm, around here! 
If you are on Facebook, you may have seen this picture of our new baby! We are in loooove!  How can you NOT BE!  He comes home with us this Friday. 

So in celebration of my craziness. I have some Blog Candy to give away. It's been awhile and I've been saving some of my favorite MFT goodies to pass along to one lucky person.

If you will stay with me a few minutes longer....I do have a bit of craftiness to share. I used the new Guest Designer Challenge sketch to make a fun, circus birthday card. Yep, still lovin' that CIRCUS SPECTACULAR  stamp set and Die-namics.     You can read all about the MFT Guest Designer Contest HERE! The prize is fantastic.... The winner of this contest will win over $200 in stamp sets and Die-namics, AND have the opportunity to play along with the design team for the next release and all the Wednesday Stamp Club Challenges for the next month. MFT always has amazing stamp sets around the corner and getting (and stamping with) them early is a special treat.

I thought these kraft papers My Mind's Eye were a great choice for a fun, circus themed birthday card. I used the RECTANGLE STAX 1 & 2 for easy layering and then tucked in a two strips of the BANNER STRIP DIE-NAMICS  to help set the tone of this festive card.

I used the coordinating TICKET STRIP DIE-NAMICS with a STAR STAX, MFT button, twine combo. Love layering these Die-namics like this.

I added the birthday sentiment from the CIRCUS SPECTACULAR STAMP SET onto the mini file tab from MINI TAB FOURSOME DIE-NAMICS.  I just love those sweet little tabs....it's great to have all the options to fit any sentiment you might have. Some stiching and a few brads finish it off.

I stamped this gorgeous elephant on Whip Cream cardstock with some AMuse inks and topped his sweet nose with a teeny star from Star Stax Die-namics. 
I have also used Black Licorice and Kraft cs all by MFT.

I prettied up the inside with a Giraffe image from the same set and a few more layers of STAR STAX.  I also added one more ticket, this time a larger one from the JUST THE TICKET DIE-NAMICS. A brad and red twine bow and a quick stitch around the outside and this one was done.
